First time at this course, I never give a perfect score out of the box :-). That being said, nothing went poorly here. Was there to take a lesson and was very pleased with Pro's accessment and patience with me. Will definitely go back. Hopefully next year I will actually get a chance to play the course.

Lovely RV park; views of the lush green golf course enhance the experience. They do need a better dog park; it's only fenced on 3 sides and they need a small dog side and big dog side (I have 2 small dogs and just had an unpleasant experience with a pit bull mix).

Best/fastest greens in Yakima. Pace of play can sometimes be an issue but if I’m with 3 other friends we don’t complain because heck we’re out golfing. We typically match our pace with the group we follow or play fast if no one is holding us back (rarely happens). Not a bad course to walk, I have a push cart so I will use that most times when I come out.

I love this course. Especially the back 9. Try to play at least once a month. Some really fun holes like hole 12 . Pro shop is small but pretty well stocked. The course is well maintained and the price to play is pretty reasonable. Wish the restaurant was a little better but it is alright if you like basic food.

Had a great game at Sun Tides 7.13.23. The front office was friendly, welcoming, and helpful, and did everything they could to make sure we had a good first game there. No waiting for a cart or for our 8:30 tee time!
There are some long holes on this course, which challenged us. Looks like management is working hard to keep the course looking it's best.

The course is in pretty great shape. The biggest problem I encountered were water saturated areas in the fairway and rough. A significant portion of a green on one of the par 5s is being rebuilt/reseeded. The greens are reasonably soft, fast, and roll well.

Played here for the first time and will never play here again. Unfriendly staff, rude atmosphere, and it's a cliquey old man's club. The guy at the counter was acting condescending and aloof and said "hmm, interesting" to me when I said I was there to check in for our group… not sure what's interesting about a younger woman routinely checking in for a tee time like every other golfer does. We were teeing off on the 1st hole on time and my brother didn't hit well and the group of men behind us literally said to him "wow, I thought you'd be a scratch golfer in those shoes". Another strike of welcoming kindness! To top if off, we were on time or ahead of pace the entire time and had the Marshall on our tails constantly... told us to hit even though there was a group 150 yards ahead of us right on the green. That group ahead of us had open fairways and the Marshall said nothing to them. Made us feel like a nuisance even though we were paying customers. Long story short… You hear jokes about golf or certain courses/groups being cliquey rude old man clubs and I'm still in shock that this wasn't a scene from a movie and actually happened Lol. A truly… unforgettable experience! I will say though that the course was in great shape and it was long and a true 18 hole course. Course = good, everything else = double thumbs down.

Absolute worst experience at a golf course ever. They didn't have a cart available for us although we reserved days in advance. The pace of play was so bad we actually timed out 15 minutes of waiting before we could tee off between holes. The Marshall(who refused to do anything about pace of play) literally drove into our fairway out of the tree line and got hit by a friend's drive IN THE FAIRWAY and was aggressive with us. Absolutely do not recommend.

I am a 100% disabled combat Veteran suffering from PTSD. Took my family out last year in our trailer however the Owner Jeff Champ chased me out of this park while swinging a golf club in the air because he wasn't in his office and I drove through his Park looking for a place to stay before talking to him first. He got even more heated when I tried to explain to him I was disabled. He then began swinging a golf club in the air while threatening my wife and I. I damn near had to stick my smith n Wesson in his face. My 8 year old son recorder him doing this. Absolutely disgusting to treat disabled vets like this. I would never stay here but I sure drive through ever chance I get. 😆 Those cameras are laughable. He said it was private property and there is no trespassing. But yet no signs 🤔. I'm guessing he profiled us because we left our trailer at the store and just drove through in our car first to see if we liked it. Turns out they have a major theft problem he thought we were thieves. Should have seen his face when we swung back through in our trailer. Priceless. Look for the video on youtube it's hilarious 😂. It's bad enough with me honking as I drive by daily. But now you have that sick coward Jeff watching your family on his cameras.

Suntides Golf Course is the second best golf course in Yakima.
The greens are awesome and have been in great shape the last 10 plus seasons.
The course is challenging yet forgivable at the same time.
A round of 18 can be played in 3 to 3 and a half hours easy.
The regulars at this place are also what make it so special.
It would be nice to see some local beers on tap in the lounge area considering we have places like Bale Breaker in our back yard.
I look forward to retiring one day so I can cement myself out there 4-5 days a week.

We spent 4 nights at the RV park while our granddaughter was in town for a softball tournament. The park is clean and the spots are roomy with grass and trees. We would definitely stay there again!

I highly recommend the staff at Suntides Golf Course. I made an appointment with Paul to get fitted for a complete new set of clubs, since I decided to retire everything in my bag. This was the first time I had been fitted. Paul was courteous and helpful, took the time to get me into the correct clubs and made me feel comfortable, not rushed, and easy to conversate with. JR was a great help, he wanted to make sure I was getting the right clubs as well when I spoke to him about the drivers and wedges. He answered all my redundant questions, with patience and explained aspects of the clubs I didn't even think about asking. These guys are the best, and take the time with you. I cant wait for the irons to arrive so I can also setup some one on one help with my driver. Thanks again you guys, awesome service!

Very crowded on this last Sunday afternoon. Really nice course and shop, however, if you’re slower/have a larger party the course marshal will be watching you the whole time, it was very annoying while we were trying to have a good time, especially after paying good money to “play”.
It felt like we were being rushed the whole time as we were letting faster parties through. I’m pretty disappointed in with big brother watching my buddies and I.

The course is one of the nicer ones in this area. Greens seemed very nice compared to others. I'm a beginning golfer and this course was pretty tough for me. Several long holes so if you don't drive well yet it's intimidating. You also need to keep moving, lots of players so you do get the feeling of being pushed. Pretty friendly staff. I'm going to play other courses until I get up to speed.

Have been playing here fairly often lately and have had a great experience so far (except for my scores, but thats a whole different problem)

The greens are a little faster than I am used to and the slopes can be a little deceiving, but in all it is a very well taken care of and fun course to play. The staff, even when busy, are very professional and get business taken care of in a timely manner. The other day we showed up after work to play 9 holes and were informed that league was playing on the front 9. No problem, they let us play the back 9 staying clear of league play. We finished the back 9 just as the last team was teeing off on hole 1. We went in to the pro shop and asked if we could follow out on the front 9. I fully expected them to say no, but to our surprise, they let us play the rest of our 18 holes as long as we didn't interfere with the scheduled league play.

In all, I will definitely return and in the future. Prices are decent, course conditions are good, and staff is friendly.
