I have been a part of this CrossFit for over six months now, this was my first CrossFit ever and frankly any type of regular gym for a good part of my adulthood. It wasn’t difficult to learn CrossFit style of exercises. I started with Endurance classes first to build some stamina before regularly joining the weightlifting and move longer play better classes. This is truly the best hour I spend every day, away from distractions and focusing on improving myself. Coaches here are great, very friendly and easy to work with, special shout out to Joel and Andreas. You can join classes at whatever time it works for you (based on the CrossFit schedule), definitely the best way to spend your time, I look forward to the classes everyday.
I would highly recommend this CrossFit to anyone who would like to get more active, move better and play longer.

Recently moved away from the area due to military orders and dreaded having to leave this gym. Joel is a fantastic business owner, the trainers are friendly and skilled, and the programming is built for guaranteed progress. The gym itself is immaculately clean and the equipment is very well kept. Because my children also took part in their kids/teen classes, the cleanliness was something I highly valued. My children and I equally enjoyed and loved The Armory during our time in the area. Highly recommend this gym to anyone with any level of fitness goals and/or experience.

Went here for a trial class and was very disappointed. The class was Olympic lifting which is very technical. The male coach was on his phone more than he was coaching. The girl behind me did not know what she was doing and he did nothing to help. I had an accident on my snatch that day, leading to fractures in my spine. He proceeded to give me advice on my form while I was on the floor in agony. It was truly just an accident, as I’m an experienced lifter, but that could’ve easily happened to someone inexperienced. He was so inattentive- to the point that anyone could’ve taught that class considering all he did was read the workouts from the board. Afterwards I shared my experience with the owner and was offered a free 2 hour personal training session… while I was in bed unable to move with excruciating pain. I’ve been to countless CrossFit gyms, and this was by far one of the worst experiences. I don’t pay $200+ a month to have a coach read a workout from the board and do no coaching. If I wanted that I’d just go to a commercial gym… Needless to say I did not do the free training session. That was my second trial class; the first one i had a similar experience with that female coach not coaching. I was trying to give the gym and a different coach a chance.

I can’t say enough good things about the Armory. i’ve been impressed since day one. As soon as I walk through the door, I am greeted with a friendly smile and wave. The gym is immaculately clean, and the equipment is well-maintained and high-quality! The programming is perfect for anyone wanting to work on strength, endurance, functional fitness, and mobility. The atmosphere is friendly and inviting, and the other cross-fitters are full of encouragement. You can scale as needed, and no one cares. Alternatively, If you’re a pro there is no cap to what you’re able to do there. It is evident the owner, Joel, it takes great pride in his gym and his People. The armory has become a safe place where I can go and get my demons out 😈🤣💕

My wife and I have been members for the past three years and absolutely love this place. The coaches are amazing, providing excellent guidance to get us started with strength training. This place is everything I’ve been looking for in a CrossFit gym. I joined here after moving up to Lynnwood from Cap Hill, and I struggled to find a gym that I liked near my house. Been coming for a year! It’s been a really tough season for me lately, and the Armory has been a real sanctuary for me through some very challenging days. I’ve been able to cope with the hard because I’ve showed up 5 times this week and threw it down at the gym. It’s also been so great to have community, and I really value and treasure what Joel (the owner) has built. Members are friendly, encouraging, and just overall good people.
I have also seen improvements in my strength and endurance because of the quality programming and coaching here. Becoming fitter, and better with each workout.
If you are curious about Crossfit or just returning to it, you can't go wrong with the Armory. In addition, I really appreciate how well the gym is managed. The cherry on top are the little details such as great music at the perfect volume for motivation without being over the top, Joel's dedication to hygiene and cleanliness. All in the details. Every piece of equipment is wiped down after each use, which is nice if you care about things like that. Definitely try the Armory out! 💛

I had (and am still having) the best experience with this place. I went in in February to ask them if they could help me with age related strength training. I am 57 and was experiencing some pretty bad knee and hip pain. I ended up signing up for some personal training with Emilio before committing to a membership / the classes because I really wasn't sure I could do the classes. Emilio worked with me on a customized basis, targeting my knee and hip pain, which was great. The biggest thing he helped me with, however, was my diet, which I didn't even know needed to change. He explained the pain I was experiencing was 75% due to my diet which was causing inflammation. He gave me an easy, anti-inflammatory eating plan to follow, which, no joke, has changed my life. When I went in in February, I literally could barely get out of my car without using my arms to pull myself up. Walking up and down stairs was painful. After working with Emilio for 2 MOS, I can now get out of my car using my hips and legs like everyone else in the world. I can walk up and down stairs with no pain. And, get this, I can do Crossfit classes! Hah! I really can't say enough about how Emilio and the Armory are helping and continue to help me. Member for life. :)

Training at the Armory has been an awesome fitness-building experience. The equipment is clean and new. Joel (the owner) puts a lot of careful thought into the workout regimen, and promotes an atmosphere of acceptance and positivity - I've never felt self conscious heading into class.
I felt that it was important for me to incorporate personal training due to my long history of chronic injury as an athlete. Denis (personal trainer) is always attentive and helped me build skills and confidence - always paying careful attention to safety and technique. They've made lifting fun!

If you live anywhere near The Armory and are looking for a gym you have to check them out. Classes are great and personal training is top notch. I feel like this gym saved my life. I was struggling with my weight and finding every excuse in the book to not doing something to better my health, and mental health for that matter. When I first met the staff, they didn’t care where I was from, what I was doing before hand, they met me where I was with kindness and set goals that were realistic to me and not just another number to them. The community and support from others at the gym are beyond what I ever imagined I would have going on nearly a year now being here. This place really is my home away from home. The Armory is exactly what I was looking for after a couple of years at a HIIT-based gym. Nothing wrong with HIIT, but I was looking for something more strength-based. Classes vary between strength and cardio; upper and lower body. There's something for all levels and the workouts are never boring.
The staff is friendly and engaging--providing form corrective feedback and exercise modifications as needed.
The gym is clean (dare I say immaculate). The equipment is excellent and modern; it shows the owner takes a lot of pride in his business.
The place is so ideal I'd give it a one-star for no other reason than to keep this gem a secret :-P

Armory is one of the best CrossFit gyms around Bothell. I’ve been going here for almost a year and by far the best thing I’ve done.
You’ll enjoy Joel’s WOD programs and focus on the big picture, like building up weeks of workouts towards strength gains, ski season, summer time or even extra calorie shedding around the holidays.
If you’re a beginner like me ask for personal training sessions with Denis. You can 100% count on Denis to learn proper form and hit PRs. His focus on mobility and recovery will help you get to your goals faster. The community here is friendly and respectful to everyone. I always feel welcomed and motivated to workout here.

I lost core piece of me this year due to Covid vaccine complications. It was very hard on me , lead to depression and obesity and what not.

Checked out several gyms in the area having just moved here from CA and my sister and I decided to go with this one because
- it seems to be a great community. Everyone has been really friendly and nice, and the instructors are great about explaining things for noobs like us (we've never done CrossFit before!)
- also major plus, there are about the same number of women (or sometimes, even MORE) as men attending classes which is super inspiring and makes us feel comfortable.
- overall fitness level of people at gym is super high which is very inspiring and pushes us a lot
- nice, clean and well organized.
We're doing a competition to get back into shape so decided to do unlimited classes and weekly training. We'll report back in a couple months on progress made. So far, 3 weeks in already feel a lot stronger and better. E.g. I'm already able to deadlift 23% more weight (from 60 -> 75 kg)

I started here a few months ago and it is truly beyond what I expected. The coaches are amazing. The people who work out here are great too, I felt welcomed from my very first class. Came home to visit family for the holidays and decided to drop in here for a workout. Joel was very welcoming and they offer lots of open gym times along with well-taught classes and stellar programming! All the equipment is new, they have everything from oly platforms to air runners and ski ergs. And the vibe was what kept me coming back every day during my trip. I've been attending workouts at The Armory since Aug, and I must say that this place is really special! To start, the gym is well-equipped, clean and conveniently located in the heart of Mill Creek. The workouts are always a great mix between weightlifting and conditioning. Although I've only been a member for a short while, this place has whipped me into shape quicker than any other fitness establishment (eg: Pilates, Fit Body Bootcamp and L.A Fitness). The trainers, Joel and Nick have been super supportive, knowledgeable and humble every time I've trained with them. Overall, the community in this gym is remarkable. Truly feels like a big family. Where to start... this place, the owner, the coaches, everything is top tier! Joel, the owner, is easily one the best programmers in the game as the WOD’s are challenging, but fun and entertaining. He is extremely passionate about fitness. He does a great job of uplifting everyone and making it so effortless to feel comfortable there or “fit in”. Everyone who comes here is very welcoming. As far as the gym itself goes, it is as clean a gym you could want! All equipment is thoroughly wiped down after each and every use, the floors are swept and mopped nightly and the two bathrooms are immaculate. I just completed the free trial pass and I thoroughly enjoyed each training session. The Armory is a clean and fully equipped gym with updated equipment and all the crossfit essentials. The coaching was excellent and each movement was fully explained and never rushed, which I always appreciate no matter how many times I've done a movement. I also really enjoyed the programming, which was well balanced with strength and conditioning aspects and also a lot of fun. The atmosphere was not intimidating at all, and everyone was very friendly and welcoming.

I've been doing CF for about 5 years and The Armory opened up just down the street from our house so I gave it a visit. The programing is great, mixing lots of barbell movements into the workouts, as well as cardio. The equipment is all new, the gym is kept very clean, and the coaches are very knowledgeable and friendly. If you're in the area and looking for a new gym give The Armory a try, you won't be sorry.

The facility is amazing, hands down the nicest CrossFit gym I've ever been to. The way the gym is arranged allows for a large class to work out together without feeling crowded. The equipment is top quality and it's all all kept clean and in great condition. There is even an indoor turf area for stretching, sprinting, sled pulls, etc. There is plenty of parking and it is never an issue, even during the busier times of day.
Most importantly, the programming and coaching is excellent. The coaches do a great job of demonstrating and explaining the workouts at the beginning of each class. I really appreciate the way they explain what the objective of the day's workout is and how it fits into the larger long term picture. They also do a really good job of encouraging realistic scaling options to help tailor each movement to each individual member. You'll feel right at home here whether you're a competitive athlete or brand new to working out. I'm so happy to have found The Armory and I look forward to the gym every day!

The Weightlifting program/ CrossFit programming is amazing!! I’ve attended the Sunday weightlifting and there is a lot of structure, great coaching, and nice equipment!
I really appreciate the accessory that follows the strength portion to help with my weaknesses and compliments my lifts. Already feeling stronger.
Looking forward to this cycle/progression!!

Noticed this Gym opened across the street from my office so I thought I would go in and check to see what it's all about. I was greeted by Joel & Nick who made me feel very welcomed (Normally I hesitate looking at new gyms due to the high pressure sales tactics). This was not the case, Joel talked with me about what my goals are and what my boundaries are and we set up a no cost assessment for him to get a sense of my fitness capabilities. I went in for the first assessment where we focused on stability and some of the basics, he then had me track my nutrition for the next week until our 2nd assessment. At the next assessment we did some warm up and then he worked with me on the principle lifts getting my form right which is important to me due to a injury from dead lifting a year ago. He caught on quick to what I needed to adjust and worked through what I need to do improve on my lifts. Again all of this at no cost which tells me these guys are dedicated to making sure their clients don't get hurt and have a positive experience before signing up for a membership! We wrapped up the 2nd assessment and he sat down with me and thoroughly went through my nutrition and basic movements I need to work on. I feel blessed this place opened up so close and to have trainers that care about the clientele. I signed up on the spot and look forward to getting my SWOLE ON at The Armory!!! Thanks Joel & Nick.

The Armory is welcoming to first timers or long timers in fitness- if you are just starting out or are well on your way, a very welcoming, family type atmosphere. The Trainers are attentive to each person and where they are in their fitness level, if you need modification because you’re just starting out, they definitely meet you where you are. I have been to Saturday sweat, Sunday lifting and evening weekdays, I have always left feeling like I gained strength, mobility and had so much fun.

I’ve worked with Joel for a few years now and I have a love hate relationship when it comes to training with Joel. I love how much I’ve progressed, how much I’ve learned, and how much Joel pushes me to reach my goals. I hate how much he calls me out when I’m making excuses or not sticking to the plan or when he yells at me when I start to get sloppy and lift with bad form (even when he’s not around I can hear his “what are you doing?!” Or when I get frustrated and angry I hear “take a lap and then do it again.” Cause you can never end your lift on a bad note). I guess those things I hate are also why I’m where I’m at now. This last year with Joel alone I dropped over 25 lbs which is great, but more importantly I’ve hit PRs in my lift, I’m the fittest I’ve ever been (until I recently got injured but I’m rehabbing through that, which he also has been super helpful and knowledgeable in things you can do to work around injuries and to regain strength), and I’ve developed the tools to be able to keep growing in my fitness journey. I basically have a little Joel sitting on my shoulder coaching me while I’m in the gym or at home food prepping. Making good choices isn’t always easy to do but it’s easier when you’ve got the basics down and have an understanding on how things work. Sure, you can see any trainer and they can push you until you’re sore and can’t walk for days, but that’ll only get you so far. I’ve had that before and yes I saw some immediate results and progress, but then you plateau and you find yourself stuck in the same place for far too long. Anyone can put a bunch of exercises together, but not everyone can put it together in a way where years later you’re still building and improving. You’re still seeing those little muscles you never knew you had popping out of nowhere. You find yourself adding more weight to your barbell or busting out a few pull-ups when you didn’t even know you could do one. Another big thing I've noticed is that unfortunately not all trainers/coaches also spend so much time on form and stress the importance of constantly working on your technique. You know Joel is passionate about fitness and it makes you want to succeed as well. This is why he’s also able to push you without yelling at you like a drill sergeant and knows the right to time to quietly tell you you’re doing great when you’re not sure you’re going to get that last round in. It’s also why he’s able to easily build communities with people who otherwise would not know each other outside of working out together, which isn’t something that automatically happens just because you’re taking a class together. You see this with Joel both in the class settings as well as just lifting with another person or two. The person I was four years ago, two years ago, or even since the beginning of the year isn’t the person I am now. When I started my fitness journey I was basically a walking blob. No real strength and basically zero endurance. Working out also just meant running and a lot of cardio machines. Now I’m the fittest, strongest, and happiest I’ve ever been and I’ve found a love of lifting and being active. I’ve had quite the journey and Joel has played a HUGE role in these changes and for that I will always be grateful.

I attended a "Saturday sweat" session for the first time this past week and it was one of the best classes I've taken. I went with the impression that I wasnt going to know how to do anything and was super intimidated. It was completely opposite! Joel and a couple other trainers there made me feel so welcomed and explained how to do the different workouts very clearly. Everyone there had high energy and were so encouraging. I will definitely be back!

Joel has been my trainer for about 6 months. I am now in the best shape of my life. His workouts are addicting and I would highly recommend him to anyone that’s trying to improve their life. The dread of going to the gym no longer exists for me. Joel has turned “working out” into one of the highlights of my day. His classes are fun and effective and I give him 5+ stars. Trust.

I met Joel when I was at my heaviest and was just looking to make a change. Joel was one of the best trainers I've had to date and basically taught me all of my form foundations and always challenged me to try a harder weight when I wasn't confident I could do it. I couldn't do a squat when we first met, but he helped me modify until I improved. To this day, I always start my weights in the heavy side and taper off (after warming up, of course). In even got complimented on my form by an OG trainer in my boot camp class the other week!
Thanks for everything, Joel! I knew nothing when I started your class and I finished that year feeling knowledgeable and confident in my abilities. 🙏
