With the beating my body takes cycling, running, and weight lifting, Ashram hot yoga classes have been a great way to melt away the knots, sores, tightness, etc. Also does wonders for work stress. After the hot bikram classes my body feels like a worn rubber band that just doesn't care about anything. Stress and pains all gone. Total body and psyche reboot. Now if only I can dedicate more time to going to Ashram....

They never answer the calls. And its very crowded and parking is a problem! not sure why this place is highly rated. I got a groupon and wanted to talk to them before I come in but no one answers the phone! I wouldn't recommend this to any new person.

I took the yin yoga class. While the class itself was relaxing, I didn't appreciate one interaction with the instructor. It took me a bit to find the studio because I am unfamiliar with this particular shopping area even though I made sure to get there a bit earlier. I was taking my brother to his first time class so I rushed to find the studio, get us settled on mats with props then pulled my phone to pay for parking. The teacher was finding a student and giving another props so I figured I had a sec. However she then saw my phone and scolded me like a child and made me put it away even as I tried to explain. I didn't get to pay for parking and ended up with a ticket. And of course it was constantly in the back of my mind during class. If you are going to preach kindness, practice it.

The Ashram is the best! A studio that gets what the practice of yoga is about. The people are what make it - the teachers really care, the community is welcoming.
Yes, it is stricter than some other studios. Yes, it is hotter than some other studios. It is intense by design, yet still appropriate for all levels. Drink plenty of water beforehand, do as instructed, and you will love it! Namaste!

Consistently spectacular. I've been to several different yoga studios throughout the country & I have to say that nothing compares to Ashram Yoga in Bellevue. I think it's a testament to Gary Olson's life long commitment to his practice. There is just another level of understanding in play when you walk through the doors of his studio. Being able to train under him has been an incredible blessing & I've found myself making more progress here (in 2 months) than I have combined with all my other years of practice (3 years).
The studio itself is beautiful & all of the teachers hold an incredibly high standard. In addition to any class that Gary is teaching, I recommend trying to take a Power Yoga class with Claudia (co-owner/lead instructor) and a 75 minute Bikram class with Adam or Nikki. You really can't go wrong here at all.

I initially tried their trial program of 2 weeks of unlimited classes for $25. I am sure this is my well spent 25 bucks ever!! Their yoga studio is very well maintained and a variety of yoga sessions are provided like bikram, power, yin, asana etc. Class Schedules are flexible and available from 6am to 8pm so its easier to make it to a class any time of the day depending on my schedule. All of the instructors are amazing and very helpful in class. This helps me as I am a beginner to yoga. Please do keep in mind that the bikram yoga classes are maintained at around 100F and it can be intense if you are new to hot yoga.

I have been practicing Bikram Yoga now for almost eight years. Having just moved to the Seattle area from Colorado, I didn't think I could love another studio as much as I loved the studio I went to in Denver. My husband found Ashram Yoga Bellevue online and we decided to check it out. I think I am pretty confident in saying that we have found our Washington hot yoga studio! We really, really like Ashram Yoga Bellevue. The studio is beautiful with big windows, the atmosphere is relaxing, and the teachers are fantastic, all friendly, each with their own unique style, but we appreciate that. And every teacher has a great pace, which is key. We very much enjoy practicing at Ashram Yoga Bellevue and will continue doing so.

So I got a Groupon to try this place out and was super excited but my first class was not that great. I've been doing Yoga for 6 years now and have tried different styles and classes. The instructor for my 1st class here was Asian and she was all over the place like no structure whatsoever. She also had this really annoying squeaky voice the entire time and wasn't really sure what the next pose should be. I just really couldn't find my Zen in that class. I did try a few other classes with other instructors that were a lot better in the big room with the heaters. Also find it strange that they don't offer blocks, straps or cushions for your practice as most studios do and no mat cleaner was in the studio. There were some wipes in the hallway to clean off the rental mats that you could use I guess. But yeah overall just felt like there was disconnect at this studio as none of the students talked to each other. The instructors tried to make conversation and encouraged us in our poses which was nice and helped as needed. Every studio has their own vibe and this one was just not clicking with me.
Also didn't like how they don't show you other poses you can do if you can't do certain poses bc of medical or body constraints. And the fact that they tell you to only drink water on resting times or transitions and not during poses so you don't distract people.
Parking for this building was hard for me to find but basically you have to go between the two buildings across the Dental place filled with lots of lights and there is a garage you can park in for free.

Ashram has a one-month notification policy for canceling auto-renewal membership (this was never mentioned to me when I signed up). The one month is calculated from the due date. In my case, I have to pay for almost two full months of service that I won't be able to use as I'm leaving the area. The last thing you expect is to get ripped off by a yoga studio.

It is awesome! I have to say I became a fan the first time I went today! I did power yoga (hot), it is really relaxing and I enjoyed seeing myself sweat healthily. The instructor is really nice and patient, oh she's super fit too! I'm not sure I long I can keep a good schedule of doing yoga, but this is definitely my place to go. The environment by the way, is very calming, super clean, I love the modern interior and eastern decors.

You will love it! I work in the building as an esthetician over at Sola Salons and I always recommend my clients here as it is such a great local feel kind of yoga studio. The instructors are awesome and the owners have 2 amazing locations that they built over the last 11 years. They know their stuff and care a lot about their clients! Definently go!

The Ashram recently took over this awesome space in Bellevue as a sister studio to the original location in Kirkland. Classes are appropriate for all students from beginners to advanced, and the instructors spend time with you to improve your form and focus. Very professional and friendly staff under Gary's leadership have created a welcoming community. Check out one of Claudia's classes, her energy makes the hot power class a joy to experience!

Having practiced yoga for the last 6 years, and been around the block visiting several studios in the greater Puget Sound area I am confident to say that the Ashram is by far the best studio in this area and I will tell you why. Not only will you receive quality instruction, but the camaraderie is unlike any other in the yoga community. At the ashram we are like family. Never in my life have I ever experienced such a strong authentic and sincere group of women (and men!) Who genuinely care about your well-being and succeeding in life - both on and off the mat. The studio embodies such quality instruction that the teachers put proper posture and alignment at top priority. If you care about your yoga practice and doing things right do you need to be here. Not only will you receive a hardcore quality work out, but you will learn new tools to take with you throughout life such as meditation and breathwork. The owner, Gary Olson firmly believes that your attitude is yoga; the postures and asana serve as tools to help you achieve total body awareness. What is most important is the effect you receive from the work you do, and Gary's instruction will guide you through a practice that is even beyond a physical workout. He puts his heart and soul into the room every time he teaches. He is genuine, authentic, and one gifted individual who deeply cares about his students. The Ashram's slogan, "Transformation Practiced Daily" holds true; my life was completely transformed in such a profoundly positive way after becoming a member of the studio. Come to The Ashram for a total body workout, working the mind, body and spirit. You won't be disappointed! Namaste!

Fantastic, beautiful new location for the Ashram (to expand on the Kirkland location). Great teachers from both locations & I've never had a disappointing class -- only very hard ones that have made me surrender on the floor. Hot yoga is the best, but you do have to adapt to it. As they say "Transformation practiced daily."

This IS hot yoga! I've been searching for a studio in the Bellevue area for quite some time that really brings the heat & radiates pure energy, and I am so thrilled to have found the ashram! I recommend taking the hot power or bikram class and then cooling off with a yin class right after to stretch out your hips & hamstrings - I always sleep like a baby and feel amazing the next day!
