We love The Little Gym! It's such a great place for our 3-year-old to get moving, especially during the colder, rainier months of the year. The gym space itself is great- there's lots of space for running and tumbling. The staff are also amazing- they bring lots of energy to class, and get the kids moving and laughing each week! We are particularly fond of Alexa- she has been so instrumental in helping our daughter gain the courage to transition up to the kids-only class!

My 17 month old has been attending classes at The Little Gym since he was just 8 months old, and it has been a fantastic experience. Great (safe!) way to get his energy out, and experience having a predictable routine, socializing with other babies, and sharing and putting away toys. The weekly practice in transitioning from one activity to another and putting away toys when finished has been a huuuuge help in managing these things at home. Our little guy is so confident in his motor skills now. The instructors at Interbay are all absolutely wonderful - little guy is so comfortable with them and loves coming to class!

We absolutely love having our daughter go to Little Gym! She has been attending classes since she was six months old and still loving her experience as a three-nager. With the myriad of activities they do at Little Gym, our daughter’s physical and social skills have improved a lot and we can see the impact on this in other parts of her life.

The best part about Little Gym are the teachers. They helped our daughter through a tough transition and always make all their classes are fun. The center also does a lot of events outside of regular classes like the ones for Valentines and Easter, which allow us to get some fun family time in. I would highly recommend the Interbay Little Gym for anyone looking for a wholesome, fun environment for their kid!

We have been active in our local Little Gym community for about 15 months now, and our toddler still looks forward to going. It’s a great indoor space to have during Seattle’s rainy season, especially if the goal is to have a dedicated weekly space where you are guaranteed to be around kiddos similar in age and “skills” with some structured time but mostly choice and exploration time (at least up to the age of 3 years old, I believe). My kiddo in particular was more drawn to the circle times at the beginning and end of class and would roam around doing her own thing for several months without showing interest in any of the toddler-friendly gymnastics equipment. At first, I wasn’t sure if I was just paying for a glorified open gym when I could access the local community centers for free. But we kept at it, and she grew SO MUCH!! We are in Teacher Alexa’s class, and our instructor has helped my child grow in confidence and courage in ways that show the love and care the teachers have for the kids. It was as simple as taking the time to notice that my child was mostly just floating around and engage with us, asking me about her interests and asking my daughter if she would like a turn, giving her opportunities to see other kiddos demonstrate various skills and try them out herself. Sometimes, when my little one seemed shy but still curious, Teacher Alexa would take her by the hand and empower her to try something new. My daughter still prefers to roam around and do her own thing most weeks, but the way I see it is that she is no longer afraid to try new things and knows the equipment is always there if she ever wants to try it. I’m learning that presenting my child the option to venture and explore on level ground; bounce around on an air track; or mount a particular piece of equipment, such as a balance beam or bar, empowers her to see that she has a voice and the freedom to choose what she wants to do and express what she feels ready for.

I was there for Sunday class. The teacher was nice but I think the teacher/student ratio was bad. 1 teacher 11 toddlers in our class. $39 for 45 mins class I expected better ratio so kids can get more teacher’s time. The teacher had to set up equipment, play music, put stuff away, also communication, left very little time to actually teach toddlers 1:1. Not sure it’s particularly for Sunday class or all classes ratio is like this. Would love a better ratio if possible.

(Updated) Reply to the owner: 1/18 ratio is okay as long as it reflects in the price. The price $39 for 45 mins with 1/18 is too expensive. I think if the price is around $20 it makes more sense with that ratio and I’d love to come back.

Perfect birthday event for 15 kids ages 2 - 12. Our son’s 4th birthday party today was so fun and the kids loved running around the obstacle course. Very unfortunately, this is not the same Little Gym that we we loved when we joined back in 2019 (and we supported when they were closed throughout the pandemic). Understandably, the entire teaching staff turned over (we miss Teacher Mac!) when they closed. However, even when they're re-opened and we went back in Sep 2021, their staff has consistently went through new teachers every month for my son's class. All of the high-ratings for this facility were pre-covid, and it is definitely not the same place.

A new, inexperienced teacher took over my 3yr old son's class for the first time earlier this month. She was unable to handle the 6 children in the class and did not have all of them in sync at most points in the class. Throughout the course of the class, her template flared, her voice was rising and she was visibly showing frustration. At 40min into the 50min class, she forcibly threw my son to the floor prying a hula hoop out of his hands. Myself and the other 5 parents watched gasped in horror as my son screamed in terror at this assault. I gave her feedback on another suggestion of what she could have done to regain control of the situation and she instead denied the incident happened (which we have recorded).

That being said, I had asked the manager for a refund for the services not rendered for March as my son appropriately said he was too scared to return to her class. And while the manager admitted what happened was very wrong, she said it was a learning experience for this untrained teacher and that the teacher would need to continue with that class as they don't have the staff otherwise.

I highly recommend others take their children to Arena Sports Magnuson and participate in their Lil Kickers program or try Ballard Gymnastics Academy. The coaches there are actually trained on how to interact with children and the staff is very empathetic.

It’s been a while since we have gone to this place, but I am considering driving way out of my way to come back. The children are taught the importance of taking turns and modeled the skills they need before practicing. It worked much better than some other places that we have now tried -after moving away from downtown.
I’m so disappointed in some of the other gymnastics gyms south of the city. I feel like there were a lot more skills that came from little gym than I even realized at the time.

Payment Options - enroll early for a discount, pay monthly or just twice for a steeper discount.
Refunds - if you need to pull your kid from class for any reason, moving, lost your job, whatever, you can get the money back for all future classes.
Staff - Teacher Alyson, Lars, Meredith and Mack are amazing! They really want the kids to have fun and improve their skills and confidence.
