Dr. Ruth Freeman at The Primary Care Gym is a Board Certified Internist who has been serving the Bothell, Lynnwood and Mill Creek communities since 1998. In May of 2018, Dr. Freeman opened her private practice in Bothell, Washington. Dr. Freeman sees patients for acute diseases such as Diabetes, Hypertension, Renal Disease and Heart Disease. To help her patients to lead healthier lives, the clinic also houses a Primary Care Gym for a more wholistic approach. The gym offers Cardiofit sessions run by a certified trainer. The Cardiofit sessions are designed to improve your strength and mobility. The classes are also designed to improve you cardiovascular fitness leading to decreased risk of diabetes, heart attack and stroke.

"I've never been to a doctor's office like Dr. Ruth Freeman and staff before! Not only is she an exceptional physician, but she also has a fully equipped gym attached to her office! Talk about holistic care!
Dr. Freeman staff truly understands the importance of physical health and wellness. She took the time to understand my lifestyle and provided personalized guidance on nutrition, exercise, and stress management. Her approach is comprehensive, and her compassion is genuine.
The gym is top-notch, and I love that I can schedule workouts with her trained staff. It's convenient and motivating to have fitness and medical care under one roof!

The Primary Care Gym provides experienced trainers who are focused on pushing you forward while taking into account your body's chemistry and trauma (multiple car accidents here). It is fantastic to leave having been truly trained and challenged in my workout without fear that injury may be caused by trainers who do not know better. A gym in partnership with an incredible MD who focuses on total health is a true find.

John is a competent, attentive, highly skilled, and enjoyable fitness specialist.
A few weeks ago I began a twice-weekly training series at Dr Ruth Freeman’s attached Primary Care Gym in Bothell. It’s one of the best decisions I’ve made. Already, I notice a difference in my overall feeling of well-being, am more limber, and feel stronger.
John S. Is one of the best, if not THE best, fitness trainers I’ve had. (At 78 years of age, with a former bodybuilder late-husband and years of my own fitness training, i’ve had many.). John is also knowledgeable about physical therapy.
He has motivated me to follow through at home with exercises he has shown me. I’ve learned and am using more effective breathing, stretching, and strengthening techniques. He seems to know exactly what to do to target my specific needs. (It’s a big plus for me that he often gives me videos of exercises I’ve done to take for homework.)
I am losing weight . Already my blood pressure has improved.. This fitness training is helping me stick to healthy eating .

I have been working out with John at this gym for a year now. In a first few visits, he understood my condition and the requirements and then he helped me get stronger in the areas where I was weak. He is a very knowledgeable and caring trainer. I would highly recommend him.

I love John. He pushes me to do more. I will be seventy four in a couple of weeks and am much stronger than when I was sixty five. Facebook posted a video of me in the gym ar seventy and I have lost weight and dramatically increased strength.
