I’m a frequent attendee at Solidcore, and given that the pursuit is a small business, I really wanted to like it. I bought the intro offer for $49 and went twice (had to cancel once). The first time I went the instructor seemed new and like she was still figuring things out. The second time, my instructor was better but acted like I didn’t exist in a class of 3 people! The impersonal manner of the coaches that I experienced certainly does not contribute to the culture of support that they advertise on their website. In terms of the actual workout, it is almost too well rounded in the sense that you work a lot of muscles a little bit and don’t reach muscle failure which is necessary to build muscle. The studio in Bellevue is nice and I enjoyed the natural light provided by the windows . I don’t know if my experience is an anomaly or if I was just unlucky.

For my birthday, I booked a private charter Lagree class at The Pursuit and brought a few friends along. It ended up being one of the highlights of the weekend. Karley was so sweet and made sure the workout was both fun and challenging. Everyone in the group had an amazing time. Highly recommend if you’re celebrating something or just looking for a great sweat session!

I was asked to purchase the grip socks and threatened to leave the class without them when even the website shows a demo pic without the socks?

Compared to another Pilates studio that I frequent, the workout here feels pretty easy (almost not effective). The energy is pretty meh without any authentic attention. The business profits from grippy socks that don’t help with the moves at all. I’ve never been to another Pilates place that doesn’t allow people to choose what they wear. Barefoot should be an option.

Very tough and difficult work out. I tried it for the first time and I was surviving it trying to do just something for the whole class. It’s a series of small strength-building movements. I’m sure they are very effective and it’s cool that everyone gets their own space to work at and do their thing. I prefer something more upbeat though.

Beautiful studio and super nice and friendly coach

I’ve done a lot of Pilates and Lagree classes, and this workout felt similar but with its own twist. While the workout itself was effective, the overall experience left something to be desired. The staff didn’t seem very welcoming, and the energy in the studio felt off throughout the session. The music was quieter than I’m used to, which made it harder to get into the zone. One major issue was that the machines were extremely slippery, even with grip socks, which I’ve never encountered before in similar studios. Overall, it’s a decent workout, but the vibe and equipment need improvement.

Great workout! The parking is a pain but if you can find street parking it's the best option. Marianne is my favorite instructor!

Jamie is a total sweetheart and absolutely kicks our butts with her classes! I was shaking nonstop within seconds and core still on fire hours after. Can’t wait to come back for more.

Parking is a pain here. There’s no free parking and it’s like $10 in their garage. The instructor also made me Venmo her account directly for grip socks and would not let me take class without. I’ve been to class before/seen other people in class without socks so they really need to get their policy straight. It’s also uncomfortable/sus that I had to Venmo her directly. They are also really inconsistent about their late policies which make things confusing. It just makes this a bad experience.

Absolutely love this new Lagree studio in Bellevue. I always look forward to going to The Pursuit when I’m in Washington state, and the instructors and new site are just awesome. Highly recommend to anyone looking for a new exercise program in the Bellevue area.

If you have done reformer Pilates before, the megaformer and the Lagree exercises might be familiar. The difference is you’re encouraged to go extremely slow, which makes the muscles twitch & shake like mad.

The instructors at The Pursuit are all so nice and if you inform them of issues you may have (wrist for me), they make sure you have alternate exercises / positions.

I have been a delighted user of The Pursuit since it first opened. Great value of exercise and core strength for the time and money expended. Instructors are amazing and constantly original in class content. Never a repeat of a class sequence. Highly recommend
