Trailhead Athletics has met all my expectations! I just moved to the area half a year ago and wanted to find a gym that I could create a good routine at and where I could work on my overall fitness. Brian onboarded me and was super helpful in explaining the “why” behind the movements Trailhead builds classes from. Brian also helped me pinpoint specific things I should focus on to maintain good form which was helpful for a novice like myself. Since I’ve started classes, I’ve gotten to work with the other trainers more and they’ve been just as friendly and helpful. Likewise, the folks who fill the classes are all very friendly which makes pushing through the final reps that much easier. I’ve been going for a couple months now and look forward to seeing where I’ll be at/how I’ll feel a couple months down the line.

Great coaches. Training that is challenging but I don't feel like I'm going to injury or over train. The workouts are varied so I don't get bored. Jackie, Sarah and Brian are very fun to workout with. Having coaches I trust with long term effects on my aging body is invaluable.

I recently visited my sister and BIL who are members of Trailhead Athletics. While I was in Bellingham, I went to 3 classes at Trailhead with 3 different instructors. The workouts are thoughtfully programmed with a warm-up, a variety of exercises, and a cool-down. Dylan in particular really stood out to me as he was really accommodating to my sister who is 8 weeks postpartum. The workouts included many movement patterns that would be great to supplement outdoor sports as well. As a whole, Trailhead is extremely welcoming for both beginner and experienced exercisers alike.

I had a great workout! Brian provided alternatives when my hip pain limited my motion. He kept me moving and lifting and I walked away realizing there’s a lot more I can do to stay strong while I wait for a replacement.

I love this gym! I have been working out with Sarah Perry and she is a super knowledgable and enthusiastic trainer. She has designed programming that caters to my strengths, and weaknesses and she is careful about my injuries. My posture and core strength are better and I can see myself getting stronger over time. I have also met several other trainers who are also super kind and welcoming. Love the vibes here and grateful for this gem. Hope others discover this awesome local business and support it too!

I really enjoy the workouts at Trailhead. The coaches are great at designing workouts that challenge you while building strength, improving mobility, and insulating against injuries on the trails. Plus they are really fun and go by fast. I started with personal training to rebuild myself after losing mobility and core strength from surgery and have since graduated to feeling fully confident in the group classes. I appreciate consistent feedback on form and modifications even in the group setting. The coaches are skilled at meeting you where you are at. Whatever your fitness goals are Trailhead is sure to bolster them and give you an edge for longevity in your sport.

I love this place! Trailhead has kept me fit and able to lead my life with vigor and prevent injuries for the past 10 years. I have been active most of my life and accumulated injured body parts over the years skiing, running, surfing. Brian, Foster, Sarah and the rest of the Trailhead team are kind, sincere, warm, and compassionate folks who truly want the best for their clients. As a newly middle aged weekend warrior with a history of injury it was important to me that I partnered with trainers who would be very focused on form. I like to be pushed to continue meeting new goals, but I have no interest in bro-y, no pain no gain environments that lead to injury. Trailhead was everything I had been looking for and more. I got stronger than I’d ever been before and I was constantly encouraged to get out there and use the gains I’d earned in living a more adventurous and fulfilling life. The folks at Trailhead weren’t only my trainers, they were my friends and they genuinely cared about my well-being and happiness.
I’ve since left Bellingham and I miss my workout buddies. But I’m glad to know they’re still there keeping the stoke alive and keeping people sweaty.

Great coaches, thoughtful training! I joined Trailhead two years after my 2nd baby was born in order to feel strong again and it has been an awesome experience the last 4 years. I have gotten stronger, PR'd in a 10k, run my first half marathon, and every day I go to the gym I leave with a clearer mind and a good type of sore!

As someone who has never thought of herself as much of an athlete, but who tries to stay active for many reasons, I’ve loved working out in the TH classes. The early morning times are perfect for me to get to before work, and I’ve been able to keep up my training in the off season for outrigger canoe paddling. The trainers are all great for those of us over a certain age, but we are as accepted as some of the elite athletes in the classes. There are excellent accommodations recommended for bodies that have been injured or just that have just aged in perhaps not graceful ways. I’ll be back again in the fall when we are off the water again!

Very welcoming and supportive group of people. I have been working 1 on 1 with Foster for a year. The results have been consistent and beyond my expectations. Foster has curated a set of challenging and fun exercises and challenges for my fitness level, type of activities and my age. Hi assistance has everything to do with meeting several bikepacking challenges of the past year and going into the winter season stronger than ever. Strength and conditioning small-group classes. Every day is different and it is more of a personal training session than a traditional fitness class. I have a weak wrist and the trainers know this so they give me alternatives when I need them. Nicola, Whitney, and Derek know us all by name so there is comeraderie with the trainers, and every workout begins with a round of names so we can all cheer each other on. I joined two years ago and it's the best thing I have done for my skiing and hiking. My friends dread the point of the night at the party when I say, "Let's go dancing!" because I have way more energy and endurance than they do. Don't worry about your finishing times during Fast classes, I always come in last. But I am faster than everyone else who decided to sleep in! Join, you will be so sore yet so happy. Plus if enough people join they may have to add a 5 am class.
