Got a day pass here and loved it! Staff and people are really nice and just doing their own thing. Felt like a nice underground chill environment. It is a bit on the pricier side for what is offered though. They do have a really cool lighting room though.

I've been trying to connect with someone to cancel my membership. They refuse to respond and you can only cancel in person.

Edit: After this review True Edge owner finally responded and cancelled my membership after 3 months of no response. It's a good gym for the price, the other gym participants are welcoming and supportive.

Will have to go thru my lawyer to see if I can be refunded $730 that was pulled from my account this past weekend. I’m military and found out I would be stationed in NC. My last session there, I asked to have my membership cancelled, the guy at the front desk told me he’d get the message to the owner and it would be cancelled. This was a year ago. I went on deployment for 8 months and have been back in NC for 1.5 months. No calls, no texts, no emails regarding payment. And out of the blue I’m charged for money that I “owe” and they can’t do anything to refund. Crazy, crooked way to run a business. I asked the owner if there are outstanding balances, do they not reach out? He told me he has other stuff to worry about. You would think the money to support your business would be a priority but I guess not.

I usually don't leave reviews, but my experience with this gym has been absolutely atrocious and I'm writing this as a warning to others.

I signed up for a full year prepaid membership on 12/28/24. I received a receipt following the purchase, but no instructions for how to access the gym - I assumed that I could just show and and scan in like how I do at any other gym. When I showed up at 6AM, I couldn't get inside because you needed to open the door with some sort of key tag. There was no one there to help, so I ended up leaving. Following this I emailed, called, and showed up on MULTIPLE occasions at different times to get help but no one ever emailed back, picked up the phone, or could help me in-person. They did email me back once on 1/2/25 asking if I could show up at a certain time (which I couldn't), but they have since then stopped responding to my emails. I've sent them 3 follow-up emails since and no response. I requested that they cancel my membership and give me a full refund back (considering I haven't even been able to use the gym once). I have given them the appropriate amount of time (24-72 hours) to respond, and they have still not responded to any of my emails or issued a refund.

TLDR; I paid for a membership and have still not been able to access the gym for over a week now and no one will respond to my emails. Requested a refund and am still being ghosted.

Don't support a business that treats their customers like this.

UPDATE:
Following this review 2-3 days later, Louis, who I can only assume is the owner reached out to me via text explaining the situation that they were understaffed during the holiday season and were slammed. I also finally received gym access 13 days later, but I again asked for a full refund because to pay for a gym membership and have to wait that long to get access is unacceptable.

Louis told me that the last day to request a refund was 3 days after I had bought the membership and that his hands were basically tied and it was "written in the membership agreement". I again insisted that I get a refund because a membership agreement goes both ways - I pay for a service and should receive services, but did not have gym access for nearly 2 weeks. Also no one was even responding to my emails or calls during that 3-day window so how was I supposed to cancel?

He didn't even respond. I got ghosted AGAIN. He didn't even offer any type of solution to make things right like a partial refund for the time I did not have gym access or a complimentary week/month free. I tried disputing the charge through my bank but the gym refused to give me my money back.

Take your money elsewhere, folks. This gym does not know how to run a fair business.

Personally, I think $20 for a day pass is too much for the size of the gym and quality of the equipment. This gym is extremely small and the machines are old. The posing room area is nice, but I was just underwhelmed and got bored really fast. The aesthetics are nice but I just think this gym is so tiny. Also, in order to even exit the gym you have to push a button which took me multiple times and needed help just to get out, which is a serious safety concern and a fire hazard. You shouldn’t have to press a button and quickly push the door open just to get out…that raises a big concern for safety purposes.

Other than that, it’s definitely a gym for dedicated lifters. I wish they had stair masters. I just expected more.

I'm here for the process of this whole gym. The vibes, the community, and the owners that run this place, it's too good not to come here. They literally have everything you need. It's enough if you really know how to make the most out of your workouts. And even if you don't know how to use a machine or need some type of exercise that helps with a specific muscle, they have an amazing trainer to help you with that! I'm all for True Edge Fitness! True Edge is an awesome private weight lifting gym to start training at. I enjoy the vibe of the staff and gym members. Its not your average commercial gym. I really like how the gym is limited to the amount of members they sign up. To maximize the experience of the facilities.
