I’ve tried many gyms before, but none of them worked for me long term—until I found this one. The 21-minute workout model completely changed how I think about fitness. It’s short, focused, and surprisingly effective. For someone like me with a busy schedule, this is the first time I’ve actually been able to stay consistent. The small-group training format means you get personal attention, and the coaches truly care about your progress. The environment is clean, motivating, and thoughtfully designed. I can't think of a better place for busy executives to workout. It is efficient, effective, and affordable. I have been at the Xgym for over a decade, and the results speak for themselves. I am a 50- something competitive Spartan Racer with 94 races completed towards my goal of 100 which I will complete later this year, 2025. Last year, I climbed Mt. There’s no gym on the planet like Xgym. PJ and his trainers are the best in the business. I’m a triathlete and spend a lot of time swimming, biking and running. I'm truly grateful for the 5 years I spent at XGym. When I started training there, I was recovering from total hip replacement surgery and weaker than I had ever been in my adult life. The training I received in those early days was both perfectly safe and incredibly effective in helping me rebuild my basic strength and functional capacity. After that, under the guidance of XGym's excellent trainers, I was able to push past previous limits (both physical and mental) to achieve a whole new level of fitness.

Regrettably, I recently had to suspend my membership because of some life changes, but I will continue to recommend XGym to anyone looking for a safe, efficient, and dynamic fitness regimen. For me, it was nothing short of life-changing.

Several years ago, my co-worker shared about X Gym with me. It wasn’t until last year that I finally decided to check it out. There’s a lot of research that goes into owner PJ Glassey’s methodology and I’m here for all of it. It’s not just working out; it’s also brain training. IYKYK. I appreciate the approach and the ability to get a great work out in a short amount of time. My trainer changes depending on the time slot I choose, and each one delivers the same work out with their own twists. I like them all but I have to say Brian Boldt squeezes the most out of my time at X Gym. He pushes me to complete muscle fatigue on every exercise.

I joined the gym in September last year for the group classes, both strength and cardio. I had a positive experience with both of them. Trainers, JP and Athena, were great to work with. PJ also filled in on some occasions and he is wonderful trainer.
Having few sessions of 21 minutes in a week was the perfect balance for me, given the busy schedule that many of us have between work and home. I was regular at the gym for almost a year, which is the longest stretch that I ever had.

I've been strength training consistently for about 10 years now - at least 3x a week, but often more unless I'm sick or injured. In that time I've tried many different modalities: Crossfit, calisthenics, bodybuilding-style splits, Stronglifts 5x5, Strongfirst kettlebell training, and many others. I've worked with many personal trainers (most of whom were great), as well as working out on my own in that time.

While those methods have kept me generally healthy, I didn't get nearly the strength, muscle, or general athletic gains that I was promised. In 10 years of consistent training with those modalities, I gained a very minimal amount of muscle, and have a much lower strength and aerobic capacity than anyone would expect with the amount of effort put in.

All of this has started to change since I started training at X Gym. While I've only been going for about 3 weeks now, my aerobic capacity has greatly increased, my strength is much higher than it ever has been, and I have a much greater capacity of pushing through fatigue than ever before.

I also train in Jiu Jitsu, and the unique style of training that X Gym offers has helped me greatly there, too. Even though I'm healthy, eat well, and work out regularly, I was always the first person in class to run out of breath. The people who didn't even exercise outside of class had infinitely higher stamina than I did, which always confused me. But now, that's no longer the case (again, in only 3 weeks of 2x a week sessions). I have much higher stamina, force generation, and ability to tolerate discomfort during rolls.

I can't wait to see where this training leads me in the future. I'm hooked!

I've been working out and competing in sporting events since I was a very young man. I raced most things with a throttle or gravity involved including motorcycles, cars, jet skis and downhill skis. I thought I knew everything I needed to as far as getting in competition shape and maintaining a healthy lifestyle. I spent a great deal of time in the gym and doing road work. To my great surprise XGym workouts gave me a whole new take on fitness. The use of constant tension on the muscles I was working made my workouts more intense but greatly reduced the amount of valuable time I had to spend to get the desired result. Not only do I spend less time per session but I only needed 2 to 3 sessions a week. It was hard for me to believe at first but anything more than 3 times a week won't produce the results as fast. Can't say enough about XGym, the strategies they employ and the trainers you get to work with. All of them are world class. Doesn't matter if you're an elite athlete or someone trying to get in shape after neglect or injuries. They design a program just for you!

I just turned 67 last month and feel the best I've felt in a long time! The reason for this is The XGym and their trainers! 20 years ago, at the age of 47, I had the pleasure of experiencing double HIP replacements. At that time I never thought I'd be able to get in shape again. That was my excuse until I started working out a year ago with the incredible trainers at XGym. Is it really possible to be in shape by only spending 21 minutes twice a week? Absolutely!!!! Try them and You'll be addicted like I am! Love you XGym!

It's challenging, different, and really, 20ish mins is all you need to see results. As any workout routine goes, it's not instant. What is instant from the first session is the feeling that you actually did work every muscle group in a short period of time. After my first month I'm already noticing a lot of positive changes, and I'm not even taking advantage of all they have to offer with your membership (my fault). Yeah I'd recommend this place in a heartbeat

If you are looking for a place that will guide you through the process to get you healthy and keep you healthy, this is the place. PJ and his staff are very dedicated in helping people change their lives and keep you motivated to do what it takes. This is not a "body" shop. This is a lifestyle. Xgym is amazing! I can't say enough good things about it! I've been a member for 3.5 years now and it's helped to transform my body after two pregnancies. Both times, I was able to lose 35 pounds put on from the pregnancy and get down to my normal size. The protocol is so effective at putting on muscle and shedding the pounds. It's the most difficult work out you'll ever do and it's amazing! You work harder but in less time - you feel like you've done an hour long work out in just half the time. It's the perfect weekly regiment for a busy mom like me. I've gone through MANY trainers at other gyms and the trainers at this gym are FAR superior. They really know their stuff. I have rotator cuff and knee injuries and they are all SO well trained in working around injuries so that you still get a great work out. The trainers at this gym are some of the nicest, most knowledgable people you'll ever meet. I would highly recommend Xgym!

I've been going to XGym for 2 months now and only have wonderful things to say about it. Here are some of the highlights:
* workouts are only 20min, twice per week. THAT'S IT!
* the trainers are all great. There is no chit-chat, just a pure and intense workout, where they are paying attention to you the entire time.
* there is never more than one other personal training session happening at the same time as your workout. That means, machines are always available and there are no other distractions.
* I lost 10lbs in 2 months. My fat dropped 3.5% and my BMI dropped 2pts. All this in just 40min per week!
* These workouts HURT. I was relieved to read other reviewers saying they felt close to tears during the workouts. Well, I have been in tears. The sheer intensity of the workout and the feeling you get when your muscles fail completely, is something I've never felt in any other gym. This is why it's so effective. But here's the weird thing: I've become a bit addicted to that intensity. It's a feeling we don't get that often and most of us shy away from, but there's no better way to actually feel and be in your body than this type of high intensity training.

They offer a free 1st visit and I can't recommend them enough.

I came to XGym after my ankle surgery. I've played basketball competitively my whole life, and quickly that ended when my ankle gave out. I wanted to get back into the gym, but I was very limited. So after looking around I decided to try out XGym. They really personalize each session and exercise prescription to each client. They make sure your exercises are performed accurately, and efficiently. The workouts leave you drained in a good way, and really feeling like you did something worth while! I know in 20 minutes is that even possible? It is, and if you don't believe me, go in a try it out yourself. First session is absolutely free, and they wont hassle you if it isn't what you want.

I honestly can't get enough of the workout style! I've always been physically fit, and athletic but when I graduated from college and started working finding time to workout seemed impossible. I have been going to the Kirkland X Gym since end-2010. I have tried other gyms with trainers, weight machines, aerobics, but NOTHING I have done even comes close to the excellent results I have achieved through the X Gym.

The trainers are top notch, and by following their nutrition guidelines, and really pushing myself through the rigorous and intensive exercise routines, I lost fat, increased muscle mass and overall strength at an astonishing pace.

The 1:1 training approach is no doubt more expensive than others, but the benefits far outweigh the burden of the additional cost.

Every trainer at the kirkland x-gym are awesome! The 21 minute workout is ridiculously intense- in fact, they used to have a disclosure written by a client who said please drive carefully after the "x-gym" workout.

It's not cheap but it is worth it for the personalized attention.

I've been working out at the X Gym in Kirkland for over two years, and it offers exactly what I'm looking for in a health and fitness partner. The X Gym method makes for a super-compact and effective workout (<60 minutes a week in the gym!), and the trainers are all knowledgeable, helpful, pleasant, and alert to all craven client attempts to avoid giving your last ounce of muscle strength. :-) The X Gym is all about quality, not sheer quantity (what Mark Sisson of the Primal Blueprint calls "chronic cardio"), and they take a long-term interest in your fitness goals. I really like this gym - been going for nearly three years. It really comes in handy when you are short on time like I am, and travel frequently. I feel much stronger than prior to joining, and the staff keeps you motivated. That is one of the best parts of this gym - all the trainers are really good so you don't need to worry about which trainer you'll get. I'm always happy regardless, because they are all good. The workouts are definitely tough, and you need to be ready for that, but I always feel great after the conclusion and keep coming back. Definitely give a high recommendation to this gym.

Trainers are extremely helpful and knowledgeable. They are personable and they work with you attentively to find the right regime for your needs, including meals and other important day to day stuff.
