Ive attended about 1200 classes at Yogasix west Vancouver and I continue to be impressed with the instructors and strong sense of community. They have cultivated an environment that keeps me coming back day after day. Classes are varied enough to keep me engaged, though I wish instructors were given more creative freedom and less restricted to the Yogasix formulas. it truly has become a second home- highly recommend!

This is my first yoga experience, and I am still learning. Every instructor has been wonderful and also super nice which has made my experience good. I leave feeling better and wanting to do more. Thank you!

From staff to instructors, everyone here is so friendly! They have a variety of classes for beginner to intense workouts…something for everyone, which is nice when deciding how much energy you feel like exerting that day in class.

Typically when I’m having a bummed out day, like if a BOY makes me feeling sad (🙄), I’ll book Alyssa’s Sculpt & Flow class to kick my butt into gear: to center myself and decenter men! It works like a charm every time…I forget that I’m feeling bummed because she is a drill sergeant (the nicest and most encouraging though!). Instead of thinking about a dumb boy, I can only focus on how much my glutes (and whole body really) will be sore the next day…but also how good they’ll look!

10/10 recommend to feeling and looking great! (And having fun while doing it!)

Great yoga studio! Super convenient times and location. The cool towels after a class feel incredible but have to say the ones on Wednesday night post restore, when Meghan is there, really hit different. Not sure what magic she is putting in those guys but perfect cool towel every time.

YogaSix West Vancouver changed my life! The entire staff have made my experience comfortable and positive in all styles and heat flow. I tell everyone about this place and what practicing has done for me. They are clean, time schedules well organized and I love their themes and cute community. I've been coming a little over a year now and I don't think I could see this place not in my life when I'm older.

The studio is clean and the staff is friendly. I like the teachers too, they have very clear instructions. For me, the temperature is just right, not too hot, but hot enough that you will be sweating comfortably during a regular flow class.

YogaSix West Vancouver is a beautiful studio with a wonderful community of yogis. I value the variety of class type options but specifically appreciate the heated power vinyasa. A few of the power flow instructors are incredible. Miranda’s classes are beautifully balanced, paced, and explore the freedom of movement in yoga while being challenging; her experience is evident and appreciated. Brierly has well structured classes that are often themed and she guides you through fundamental and advanced postures with thorough cues. Bethany’s classes are thoughtful and transcendent. Her flows are challenging but glide seamlessly and fit the intention she offers with each class. Lauren’s classes are creative and funky and allow you to explore and play in your practice while you build on it week after week. These instructors do a beautiful job of having a primary focus on practicing yoga at any level and it’s so refreshing in the bustle of fitness culture.

Clean, effective, great location. Hit and miss with specific teachers. Once you find the instructor who suits your needs, keep going back. It’s a great place.

I feel so lucky to be part of this yoga community as a member the last year. I love the Power Flow classes and how each instructor makes it their own. I have learned so much from Miranda, Brierly and Lauren’s classes specifically. Because of their teachings, I am a stronger and more mindful yogi and feel continuously inspired to show up for myself mentally and physically. I love how the space feels like a true yoga studio (not just about fitness) and isn’t competitive and focused on weight loss or calories. All abilities are welcome.

Finding more instructors with yoga knowledge and experience would be awesome and more possibilities for community events or outdoor flows. Expanding would be cool as well so there can be more time slots for flow classes!

Love the location and cleanliness of the studio too!

Great Yoga Studio on Main Street in Vancouver. I came in to try a class never having tried yoga before and was hooked! Great instruction and variety of classes.

Yoga Six is a great place to come reset physically and mentally. Super high-quality yoga instructors teach with just the right balance of challenge and ease in a welcoming and clean studio space. Nice playlists, varied flows and cool eucalyptus towels at the end of heated sessions all keep me coming back again and again. The benefits stay with me through the day and help me a better version of myself. Only downside is studio space is small and classes are often at capacity. Keep up the great work Y6!

The teachers at this place are pretty great, but the management is disorganized and doesn't respond to emails. They charged me fraudulently (I was able to get my money back through my bank), and after all of that they still think I owe them a mystery $25 for something I never purchased and that they can't even provide me with a receipt for. If you use this studio, don't give them your card or bank account info.

I’ve only attended restore classes here but am somewhat of a connoisseur, since it’s the only yoga I’m into. I’m more of a Pilates girl. I’ve taken two instructors and the classes were similar which made me think it’s the yoga 6 style, rather than the specific instructor.

The restore classes have their pros and cons. It’s nice that’s it’s heated, makes the workout feel more effective. The other plus is the cold towel at the end.

The main con: the class is too fast paced. The most effective restorative classes I’ve taken (mostly in Seattle and Beaverton) are as mind and “edge” focused as physical. The positions are held for upwards of 15-30+ seconds. You kind of feel pain or discomfort but you let up a little or suffer through it for a deeper release or some sort of emotional/mental realization. You don’t really get there if you’re switching moves every 10 seconds. You can’t really make self discoveries or recovery if you’re too focused on the next move. It’s hard to explain but if you’ve experienced it, you know. IYKYK.

Other cons are both classes had very receptive movements. One instructor here really liked downward dogs, the other really liked sun salutations, we don’t need to do these 5-10 times.

Other adds I’ve liked other places, but not dealbreakers are: sound bowls, artificial candles, more like meditative music without words, instructors that help push you into a deeper stretch/massage you if you’re interested in that, and some inspiring quotes or things to focus on or think about in class.

Overall, west Vancouver is getting its bougie fitness together. It’s slow but this is the only option right now. Good enough when you need a class, but a drive might be worth it.

From some of the best yoga instruction I've ever seen to a harsh atmosphere with bright, discordant lights, closely spaced mats and weird light/electrical humming all the time. This chain studio has its pluses and minuses. After today's visit I was surprised with a $5 charge - apparently they are charging for mat and towel rental now. I was just feeling like $79/bucks month for only 4 visits was feeling a bit on the high end for cost and now the management wants even more of my money. Are you paying the instructors more now too? At any rate, they made me feel like it was my fault for not noticing a sign and not reading my emails (who reads commercial emails?)... bummed

Hidden Cancellation Charge! Went in to cancel my membership today because I cannot afford continue on with my unlimited membership that I’ve had for 3 months. Every time I’ve been to Y6 I have been met with super friendly helpful front desk associates, after coming in today and expressing that I wanted to cancel I was met with a very awkward silence from the 3 women working the front. They asked the necessary questions and proceeded with the cancellation. A fourth associate came in and I’m assuming because she didn’t know I was canceling she was very talkative and friendly! She ended up being the associate to tell me that cancelling without 30 days written notice results in you paying for the next month regardless if you come in and cancel before your next payment date. This is very obviously a hidden fee. There is no mention of needing a 30 day written notice to cancel anywhere except in the small print that we all know no one reads. I should have known better not reading when signing up for a chain yoga studio. This puts me in a bad financial situation this coming month even though I thought I was being proactive by canceling my membership in advance.

I’ve visited many yoga studios & this one has a particularly welcoming vibe. Alexia is so kind & really ensures you have a great experience both on the customer service side & preparing you for class.
All of the instructors I’ve met have been very genuine & adept at helping students of all levels. Highly recommend 💯

The desk staff is nice and instructors are very experienced and helpful. My only complaint is how crammed many classes are to the point of not being able to comfortably work out without accidentally bumping into your neighbor. I’m sure not all classes are like that but the ones I’ve taken, it seems there should either be more instructors available so there could be other time slots, or to have a 2nd studio room due to capacity issues. This is NOT the staffs fault at all, just a suggestion to the owner. My other suggestion is to offer Livestream classes like other YogaSix places have done. That would be perfect for clients to have the option to Work out From home should a class be full or waitlisted.

Daniel’s slow flow afternoon class was FANTASTIC! The tension from being on a plane for 5 hours just melted away during the flow he guided us through. It was my first time at Yogasix but not first time doing yoga. I really liked the vibe of the studio. It was clean and they go out of their way to make you feel welcome. (They write your name on their daily board to welcome you as a first timer when you check in.) They have thought of everything….they provide lockers, mats and towels. Daniel gave us Eucalyptus scented cold towels at the end of our class….heavenly. They follow through with you to check in on your experience and what you are looking for. They are friendly, professional and they care. I will definitely be back!

It’s definitely got more the feel of a gymnasium than a yoga studio. Very full and very busy, and my sense is that most people who go there are able-bodied, young, and experienced—not me! They are very kind but they also definitely want to get you to buy a membership, and it’s clear they are limited by the fact that this is a large multi location operation—Like there is only so much customization they can do with limited software, etc.

I really like classes with Jane! She has an amazing way of making you feel welcomed and total yourself in a large crowded room. And her Midwest accent and the way she emphasizes the second syllable of “exhale” is very relaxing 😅

I’m not saying don’t go, but if there were a smaller, quieter, less crowded and local studio near to me, with more ability to support a beginner with some physical and neurological challenges, I would choose that.

Some impressions after 4-5 classes here: classes are hard in a good way, classes during peak post-work hours are very full (you'll touch your neighbor), definitely caters to a younger crowd, more expensive than many other places, their software system (esp billing) has a bunch of quirks and staff will tell you this too. Overall fine if you're looking for a super hard workout.

Have so far been to 4 classes from a few promos and decided to try out a membership. The instructors are so friendly and welcoming, and all of the classes are therapeutic, effective, relaxing, and really push me to be at my best strength level. Yoga Sculpt is my favorite, but all of the classes are awesome that I’ve taken.

This studio is my favorite thing about living in downtown Vancouver! The teachers are absolutely fantastic, and there's a variety of classes to suit everyone's fitness level and schedule. They provide all the props, so all you do is show up. They even have a really nice water dispenser to keep you hydrated throughout the workout. Music is great, and the cold eucalyptus towels they give you right before savasana are something to look forward to. These classes make me feel centered, rejuvenated, fit, and flexible.

Wanted to give some first impressions since I began a few weeks ago!! Everyone here has been super kind and welcoming. I don’t feel put out since I don’t work out or have had the chances to cause of COVID so my fitness level is very poor, but I feel good being around others of varying levels!!! Seeing those at my level to keep pace with and those at higher ones to help motivate me. Definitely no judgement and only encouragement. The instructors so far have been amazing. Worth trying them all to find that teaching style that suits your needs. So far I love Jane for Slow Flow because she is more relaxed and paces it in a way where I don’t feel rushed. I live Savannah for Restore!! Her upbeat bubbly attitude is very encouraging and I have been leaving her classes with a smile every time. She’s very helpful for my mental health!!! I will be doing these two classes for a while to work up to the others and possibly give HOT yoga a try. I don’t do well in extreme heat and the warm heat they keep for the other classes feels comfortable and nice enough!! Either way really happy I joined!! Hoping they stick around for awhile!! I want to get back into shape and focus on my health in all aspects going forward!!

So happy yoga six opened in Vancouver! I just started doing yoga again after having a baby and every class has been absolutely wonderful - thoughtful, skilled, and kind instructors that teach to a range of levels and abilities. The heat is nice, the ladies at the front are very friendly, the facilities are modern and clean, and the manger is fantastic. The perfect place to start or continue your yoga journey💗

I've been doing yoga on and off over 25 years and never have been so content in practice as I am since we started attending Yogasix.

The staff is always so welcoming and you get a good vibe from the moment you walk in.

Give it a try- 3 X's in a week and you'll never be the same. Only once- not going to get the benefits.

They are awesome. I am an older male, waaaay inflexible, and somewhat scared and intimated about starting a yoga practice. But they are very friendly, have beginner classes and the instructors are really good and encouraging, making me feel comfortable and continue coming back.

The difference in my flexibity and range of motion are obvious after only a few sessions.

Strongly recommend, two thumbs up 👍👍

Firstly, I'd like yo say thank you to most of the staff and to Lindsey who were very educational and gracious. Secondly, I'd like to give a thumbs down to the owner(s) who misinterpreted advice I was giving the staff and have since disallowed me from returning there off of an assumption at best. Shame on you for your poor behavior and lies. I won't be returning. 4/1 Well when God closes a door he opens 3 more. Thanks for leading me to a higher purpose mr owner! Blessings to you!
