Planet Fitness is scam!!!!! No one is allowed to end the membership. You call the "home" gym and no one answers, because this is the only way to cancel (God-forbid you're not in the state anymore). So basically I can't cancel by phone or in-person; because no one answer's the phone.

Passing through WV and came to this branch to shower and massage while killing time to meet a friend from lunch.

Only my second time to shower in a PF gym. The showers here are huge because they have a dressing area built-in (which I like better than walking across in a towel). But the remarkable thing is the shower itself with rain shower head and body jets. They also have hairdryers.

The massage chairs use tokens that the front desk gives you when you check in. They’re the old school massage chairs like those in airports. They’re don’t have the ability to massage the arms. Not a big deal for me since my back and legs are priority.

Gym is also huge. Wish I had time to workout here. It’s gonna have to be at some other branch on route home.

They called later and found the cup. Not certain if an employee had it but I’m happy they contacted me.

My child signed up for the free summer and I paid for a membership to join them. They are 16.

They left a Stanley - light pink with a rubber bottom that they bought with Christmas money. It was expensive and helped them tremendously with their water intake.

They left the Stanley, and since we live about 20 miles away I said I would return to get it. They were supposed to put my name and phone number on the cup.

I called earlier this week, cup was still there, went to pick it up - and although all staff saw the cup, it was gone.

One of the employees had to have taken it as the cups left behind by guests are housed in the storage room or behind the desk. I was there looking with them.

When I mentioned this to one of the staff members she stated customers dig through the storage closet which doesn’t make sense because why are you letting customers in places staff should only be.

So, be careful with your belongings because it seems staff has sticky fingers. If you leave something g, immediately retrieve it because I bet there was never a not placed on it with our number.

Again, it was our fault for leaving it, but that doesn’t negate the fact that staff stole from a customer.

Things have changed since the last time I was here a few years ago. The employees were just as nice and efficient as always, the paper towel and cleaner racks were well spaced and stocked. But I have to say all the aesthetic improvements are very nice! The gym has an excellent layout and LOTS of machines. The lockers are very spacious and everything looks so nice.
Literally the only improvement I would add is some sort of overhead signage to indicate muscle groups on the weight machines, if possible. It can be hard to find particular machines if you are new or the gym is busy, but with enough time and wondering around that'll sort itself out anyway. Also some signage outside the 30 minute circuit. A friend told me about it and took me back there, otherwise I wouldn't know it exists.
Can't wait until my next visit!

Its a nice gym but they don't fix or evaluate machines. one of the elliptical machines i used right rotator is loose and moves sideways and not just in a circle hurting my right hip. Planet fitness in general has a reputation of defective machines that haven't been put out of order. Unfortunately this gym is one of them.

The perks are dope. Bringing a friend, tanning my pasty butt, a chair massage after my workout...... membership is so inexpensive, even if you just want to tan.....it's CHEAPER to have a PF membership than any tanning salon. You can sizzle in the tanning bed at PF every day if you wanted. It really is a judgefree zone, I've helped others learn equipment, and other people have taught me! Cross lanes PF is really choice.

The place is clean, fellow gym members wipe down the equipment after use 9/10 times. The only thing is sometimes the equipment seems overused- creaks when using. But nowhere is perfect and I really like this gym - they have tvs with subtitles to watch on the treadmill and a giant overhead fan. The staff seem friendly - if forced to say hello every time you come in.
The only thing I wish for is a 24 access pass so I could use before work.

the tanning beds are always nice and clean along with the workout equipment.
i couldn’t ask for a better environment to be in.

I used to travel for work and worked out at various Planet Fitness locations around the country. This one has the most space and equipment by a large measure. The staff here is pretty awesome. Hey PF, give them all a raise.

Edit: a recent "upgrade" was done here. The result was one fewer stretching cage, leg extension, leg curl, and leg press--at least those are the changes I've noticed. The upside is that the new machines will count reps which everyone was already doing. Still a really good club, but a giant step in the wrong direction.

New management and new younger staff are not so pleasant. Music is very limited now and it’s very distracting, not something I can workout to. Walked out today cause I felt like I was in a bar/club. I asked the manager about it and she said she has no control over why the music we use to be able to play is blocked. Younger new staff make it feel I’m in a high school gym, paper towels are usually out and I have to walk around to find them. Been going here for almost 4yrs and over the past 4 months it’s just gone down hill. I’ll be canceling soon if things don’t improve.

The showers were good with a small shelf to hold my stuff while I rinsed off and shaved. Plenty of hot water though the "waterfall" from above would not be my preference. Nonetheless, it was a good shower.

Everything was clean, and the staff was friendly and welcoming. The location is very spacious and has a large variety of machines. The bathrooms are spacious and the showers are very nice. The only reason I'm taking a star off is that they close at 10. I have to come after work and can't get to pf until 9, so it's difficult to get my warm up, work out, and cool down in. If they increase their hours to at least 11, my rating goes to 5 stars.
