I would do zero stars if I could. Tom, the club manager was a nice guy, he tried to help me get my husband's membership.cancelled. These folks at ABC Fitness who must be the owners will only let you end your membership if you move more than 20 miles away or if you have some severe medical condition. They also wanted him to pay $250 to cancel. Ridiculous.

If you are reading this, this gym has policies that date back to 1987. No one locks you in for a lifetime gym commitment. There are so many other choices besides this place....go to Planet Fitness, or the YMCA any place else but this place. BEWARE!!

Avoid anytime fitness like the plague. I signed up for a 1 year contract and was told if I want to cancel early I had to pay $250 for a cancellation fee. I signed up roughly 2 years ago and decided to go to another gym because anytime barely has any equipment and they’re super expensive. I received an email from anytime fitness that I didn’t need to pay the full $250 due to being a member for so long but when I went to cancel I was charged $500. How this number came to be makes no sense to me. I submitted proof of my membership and the email from staff saying I didn’t need to pay the full amount and they just said “yeah we’re not seeing that on our end”. I’ll never pay such a ludicrous amount to simply not go to their gym anymore. I’m at crunch fitness now and insanely happy with them so far, but I’ll spend the rest of my life saving people from signing a contract with anytime fitness.

Great gym to do some cardio or accessory work, but if you’re anything past a beginner when it comes to barbell lifting - this gym leaves a lot to be desired.

This Anytime has by-far the WORST selection of plates of any gym in the Milwaukee area.

The racks barely have any 45’s, and if it’s during busy hours - forget about it.

They preached on social media about new equipment and then added a half-rack and squished a deadlift pad into an already small and crowded dumbbell area, with no additional plates

Beyond that, gym is very clean and up to date. The staff is very kind and helpful.

However, this misfall is on upper management/ownership. It’s embarrassing.

…and I don’t wanna hear a reply about “improving my experience or this gym better”. Simply EQUIP your gym properly and all is solved. Until then…

This gym is a complete joke. The only way to get in contact with these clowns is if you miss a payment or if they reach out to upgrade your membership. The membership system here is a complete scam, it’s honestly a joke because you get that same benefits between the lower tier and the higher one. The manager here is a clown as well, they don’t do much. When they called all the members of the gym for a survey they did absolutely nothing with that information. The gym is too small to be asking $59.99 and it seems that their rates continue to go up every 6 months or so. If you’re serious on getting fit or already are, trust me and look somewhere else. You won’t get much out of this gym and you’ll just be left being disappointed.

SCAM ALERT - the cancellation policy is not discussed in detail at the time of consultation for membership which I was told by the manager is not “legally required to discuss”. I was told to call a 3rd party call center to cancel and then was told from them to visit the location to discuss further. Ok. So I did. Rick, first off, claimed he didn’t know the cancellation policy and to call the #800 (which I already did), then come to reveal he knew quite a bit and not only provided conflicting details but was incredibly argumentative and dismissive, and accused me of trying to get out of the $250 fee to cancel because he “sees this all the time”. It was never discussed at any point so I it is my right as a consumer to advocate for myself and ask for clarity (without confrontation) vs a 5 page fine print contract of which he printed off and told me to leave. I absolutely got upset with this interaction and he threatened to have me removed and/or banned from coming back. I just have to laugh honestly. Believe all the negative reviews - 2.5 star rating should have been a red flag from the beginning. Do customers a solid and educate them on added costs, risks, etc. before they sign the contract. It’s the right thing to do. AF knows exactly what they’re doing with this scam and hires crooks to fill the managers seats. Byeeeee, Rick! Good luck 👎🏼

They run this 7 day trial period scheme on their website I enrolled in and they got me in for Franklin branch but when I go in there they say they don't have that trial period thing but they can do a 15 day guarantee period where in if it doesn't work for me they can cancel it. I’m traveling in my van, need a place to workout and shower and this gym exceeded my expectations. I visit many anytime fitnesses on the road and this one has to be one of my favorites. Wide variety of equipment (most I haven’t seen in any other gym), spacious, clean and equipped bathrooms, hot showers (a must), and a tanning room. It's a rip off, if you sign up for a class and change your mind you have to pay $200 to withdraw. When my wife faced paying to end an exercise class she quite where they said she would owe another $200. She had to get a note from her doctor to avoid the insane fees.

The cost per month is 6 times what I pay for Xperience Fitness. The only reason I still go there is because I work nights and they're open when I get off work.

I had to redo my review after a year. I originally signed up in spring 2021 because it was the only gym open during COVID. This gym is pretty small but At the time I was glad to have a gym . I’m the type of guy that needs space. Once 10 people are in it , even that is fairly crowded.
