Was great at first when Jarrett and Chandler were there, they always greeted me by name and made sure everything was going OK. Recently it was re-staffed, and just wasn't the same. Then shut down for a month and I still got charged even though I emailed them to let them know that none of the alternate locations worked for me. They never responded to the email. Joe never cleans the equipment after use and just wipes it down with his sweaty gym towel instead. Grossed me out, so I just stopped going.

Good place to work out and all the experiences I've had with staff were great. But there's a pretty sizable population of spiders living right in the main entryway, to the point I had to clear the door off since some big ones were hanging out right next to the door handle. There's still a whole bunch of them living up in the area above the doorway and I haven't noticed any kind of effort to deal with them in the last couple weeks.

I have been going to the Waunakee AF for 9 years, but I also travel a lot, so I've been to AF's all over the country. That has been a great perk for me, to be able to workout 24/7 at "my gym" while traveling. The Waunakee location has all the equipment you could possibly need, and the staff is the absolute best. Allison does such a great job leading the fitness classes, and both Jarrett and Chandler keep the club clean and organized and are so friendly and helpful! They are always checking in with members and immediately deal with any issues. The equipment and machines are always working well, and the other members here are super friendly and considerate. This is overall the best AF I've been to, both in the Madison area and in other states as well. Keep up the great work!

I've been going to AF in Waunakee for over three years now. The people are knowledgeable, and friendly. I started with the team training and changed to 1 on 1 training about two years ago. Ruthless and deceptive business tactics. They will steal your money with absolutely no remorse and then avoid you completely when you try to get them to stop. I paid to cancel my membership early over a year ago, and was even given a signed letter from the manager stating that I was released from my contract. Now over a year later I've been hit with a notice that I've been sent to collections by Anytime Fitness for money I don't owe them! I have called and left messages asking for prompt attention from a manager and have been ignored. Several other members of the Waunakee community are experiencing the sams issue. I will be reporting to all applicable venues. DO NOT GO HERE!!! THEY WILL RUIN YOUR CREDIT AND LIFE!!!

I like this location a lot. I signed up with a different anytime fitness early 2021 and struggled to find motivation to use the gym. I recently moved to the area a couple months ago and decided to give this facility a try. The staff is friendly, the equipment is well maintained and the facility is generally clean with a good vibe of regulars. I like how it’s laid out too - very well designed. Even if there’s alot of people it doesn’t feel crowded. I’ve been able to make going to workout a (nearly) daily habit, which is such a good feeling!

This is a place for those committed to their own wellness. The staff is friendly, knowledgable and hard-working, but the real work lies with the individual. The staff creates a friendly setting to make your personal goals you set possible. The InBody is a great tool to take advantage of. I wish there was more in the way of supplements, food intake, mental health and coaching.

I signed up to do an orientation for their six week challenge. I figured it would be fun. A person named Hannah sent me five texts prior to our meeting about how spots were filling up and whatnot. One of the texts was literally about a pet fish.

Hannah specifically said to text “here” when I got there. I did that. I stood and waited in the lobby for fifteen minutes, and no one ever showed up. I don’t really understand how you can pitch accountability if you can’t even make your own appointments.

I've been a member there for 7 plus years. I've even took friends and family which had memberships. I have wife and kid at home. With Covid 19 pandemic going I go in anytime no mask wore by people or staff. Not going to risk it. The weights and bathrooms are horrible sanitation wise. Very aggressive tactics to make you sign up for the gym. After saying no multiple times I was sent many texts trying to get me to come back. I paid for the 3 month plan, ended up getting signed up for a 2 year contract without my knowledge. Tried to cancel my membership but was not allowed. I was told I was would have to pay a $250 fee to break my contract. I had to cancel my card and get a new one to stop the payments. 45 plus people in the “Waunakee can we talk” Facebook page has had a bad experience with this gym as well. I’m not the only one. BEWARE.

The personal trainers are great! Logan in particular is excellant and my personal favorite because he watches how you do each exercise and provides great feedback to get the most from the workout. He also encourages you to push yourself safely, while considering any existing limitations you may have. The Waunakee AF manager on the other hand would get one star. She's the worst manager of any fitness facility I have ever dealt with. In the six months I've been there I don't think I saw her smile other than the day I first signed up. I'm sure it was the incentive pay for a new member that was making her smile. I'd recommend going to a different location to join so you aren't part of her bait and switch sales tactics. Feigning lack of recall was her best excuse.
