Had a membership here for a while until I moved downtown. Definitely pricy compared to planet fitness but you get free weights which is nice. Definitely had older equipment, the treadmills broke down a lot and the machines were a bit dirty. The personal trainers would kick you off of the benches so that their trainees could use them, which was unfortunate because I pay to be there too. I always dreaded when the personal trainers were there, one in particular definitely walked around the gym like he was better than everyone and would give unsolicited advice and then spend the rest of the time flexing and looking at himself in the mirror. Like I'm just trying to squeeze in a set, please leave me alone. The manager was super kind at least. And this gym didn't seem to get too busy which was a perk. In total I feel like I was paying too much for my membership for what I was getting at this location. Ended up switching to planet fitness because they have new and clean equipment, and you get so much more for your money.

Bathrooms are disgusting and out of supplies half the time. I’ve been harassed by other members for machines and followed around by another every time I go in the morning. I now try to go at different times. Staff sees this happen and says nothing. Super uncomfortable as a woman here. I’m uncomfortable to use this facility. I’ve been at Anytime fitness member for years and I would love to find a different facility, but this one’s the closest to home

Signed up for my membership here, but they didn’t tell me there was a yearly upgrade rate of $64. After asking them to itemize the charges, they could not.

I am now disputing that charge after moving locations where their renewal rate is 15.99 a year.

Great small gym, not that busy but only problem is there area few mirrors that have been broken, one by the squat rack which hasn't been repair in 2-3 years and was cover by plywood which has now fallen off which makes it difficult to use the squat rack due to the plywood leaning into it

The Six Week Challenge promotion that led me into the Wauwatosa location was misleading and mysteriously no longer available even though I was invited to join the program the same day by text. However, Trevor did apologize for the promotion no longer being available and proceeded to offer me a 6 month, 12 month or 24 month membership, which is not what I came in to talk about. Bad air circulation, sweaty smelling. I do not recommend this location.

If I could give zero stars, I would. Like most folks I joined a gym at the beginning of the year (2020). Then the pandemic hit shortly after Instead of allowing people to cancel their memberships (since there was no gym access), they prevented anyone from canceling their memberships. Even though we weren’t allowed to access the gym for months. Claimed they would reimburse us on the backend of our contract expiration. That never happened. Then, in poor taste, they started a “I can’t breathe” workout after George Floyd. Smh. I’ll never join this gym again. Wouldn’t recommend either. Always overcrowded and not very clean when I went.

I am not someone that ever feels inclined to write negative reviews but it feels unfair that I don’t feel comfortable going to the gym I pay $50/month for due to the lack of cleanliness. I wish I could cancel my membership now without any additional fees. This gym is constantly running out of wipes and provides no other means of cleaning the equipment when they inevitably run out nearly every weekend. It’s unacceptable and incredibly unhygienic. I honestly couldn’t recommend this gym to friends/family/acquaintances.

Pretty clean gym with well maintained equipment. Three squat racks, plenty of treadmills and lots of free weights. The showers and bathrooms are also pretty clean. It also has a wheelchair ramp which is pretty rare for a gym, so good for them for making it accessible.

The lack of proper ventilation made the workout quite uncomfortable, especially on a hot morning. This gym has been very accommodating to me while staying with my daughter at Children's Hospital while we were lucky enough to have her with us. She taught me that health is the most important thing in the world and that we have to do all we can for our health since there is so much we can't control. This gym is always so clean! The wipes are consistently in-stock. I never have trouble getting a squat rack when I need one because there are three of them. The machines are spaced out well for social distancing, and there is tons of open space for aerobic exercises or for doing dumbbell exercises away from others. Unfortunately I sometimes see people not wearing masks here during non-staffed hours, but that's Wauwatosa. Otherwise, very well-kept gym!

Jen is horrible. She’s a scammer! She scammed my friend and is continuously scamming her. Recently, I had to move out of town for a new job, but I wanted to thank Jen and the management and training team in Wauwatosa for running such a great Club. The equipment, cleanliness, friendliness and fun presence on Social Media was always top notch. I have been to several other clubs over the years where the management and care was nowhere near what it was in Tosa. It's not always the brand that keeps people coming back, its most definitely the people running the club. So, keep up the great work! I will miss it for sure! Take care!

The HVAC system is extremely dusty. Every time I would go there and look up all I would see is dust caked on the piping. Imagine what people are breathing in with all of that up there. Can not be good for your immune system.

I've been a member here on and off for about 8-10years and although its a bit smaller& more expensive than the newer gyms I can appreciate the effort of the new updates and equipment (stair master would be nice hint hint😁) always clean and definitely a relaxed atmosphere, the staff is available most of the time for questions and even greets you by name, so overall it a nice gym with convenient hours, locations, and plenty of equipment for any fitness level

Be very careful in trying to cancel your membership. In the past at other Anytime Fitness locations we had to re-sign a contract once the initial term was up, here the contract continues to a month to month, and you must give a complete 30 days notice. We called in early July to cancel and were surprised to see a bill in early August. Upon following up, we learned the call didnt count as cancellations are done via email. This whole experience soured an otherwise enjoyable one.

I’ve been a member at this gym for almost 2 years and love it here! There are plenty of cardio machines (treadmills, rowers, elliptical, spin bikes, stationary bikes, and a stair stepper) to handle peak hours though sometimes there’s a short wait for treadmills during nasty winter weather. The gym is clean and has a good variety of weights, equipment, and the space to complete your workout. The private bathrooms and showers are a nice extra too. For me the best thing about this gym is that the friendly and enthusiastic staff. They are genuinely happy to help the members live healthier lives.

I absolutely love Anytime Fitness Tosa! This is by far the best fit for me in a gym. Jen and the trainers are great and they actually make it a fun to go the gym. I’ve been a member for about 6-7 years, first at the Milwaukee eastside location, then the shorewood location, and now at the north ave Tosa location and I love this place. I’ve never had an issue w anything at anytime, and I absolutely love that I can workout anywhere and don’t have to go too far. Visiting from out of town I had used this facility before. This time as I was using an exercise machine when another member came up and stood right next to me indicating he wanted to use machine. I explained I was not finished and he just stood there and stared at me. Being a guest i did not want to create a scene and just let him (tall guy, white hair) use it. No thank and he didn't even wipe off machine. It was really disturbing and even though I was in town for the rest of the week I didn't feel comfortable using facility. The office was not staffed at the time.

I am very upset that the cancellation notice wasn't explained better when signing up. I was told that there would be a cancellation fee of around $50 per person, well come to find out that it is actually 80% of the remainder of the contract not what had been explained. The facility is nice, I never see anyone when I do go, and it is typically empty for that I gave them 2 stars but the rest is what I find important.

Kind of a weird gym. Jen (club manager) has a fan club here. Phil (trainer) his beard has a fan club. The gym is always clean. Everything is always in working order. There aren't any critters running around like the Brown Deer location where the windows are covered from top to bottom in spiders. My only real complaint that often sends me to the gym in Franklin is the lack of a punching bag. We've been asking for one for literally years but have never got one. But we did get some rowing machines that no one asked for and no one uses.

The staff are so incredibly nice here, which is a huge plus because it makes going to the gym a happy, positive experience. The facility is always extremely clean, and there is a great mix of equipment including lots of cardio equipment, free weights, weight racks, bosus, exercise balls, jump ropes, and so much more. Oh and an entire room you can reserve to do a class on the fitness on request or your own routine! I've used local MKE area gyms such as Blast and Planet Fitness, and I would never go back after being a member here!

This place is awesome! The staff is very friendly and it is one of the cleanest gyms I have ever been too! The trainers are the best that I have worked with. I have been working with a trainer there for over a year and have made huge progress in terms of where I started and where I want to be. Plus it's affordable. I'm a college student on a tight budget and I'm able to afford a membership just fine!

A clean and convenient location with happy and helpful staff, Wauwatosa Anytime Fitness rocks! We've discovered a wide variety of exercise machines, guided weights, free weights, multimedia studio, and a tanning salon. The staff will gladly guide you through a health assessment or personalized training sessions. I've even had a trainer drop what he was doing to show me some new equipment! So supportive!
