About the Club

Welcome to our Movement Community! We have two distinct studios within the same building, and one vibrant and interconnected community! BLAZE Fitness & BREATHE Yoga Studios are inviting, organic movement studios with expert coaching, programming, and science-based training.

We specialize in TRX classes, mobility and stability for joint health, strength & endurance training, & Active Seniors classes. Owner, Kari Woodall, is a former US National Team athlete and collegiate coach, as well as an international fitness & business presenter.

We have two studios: BLAZE Studio is where our group TRX and Athletic Circuit classes take place. BREATHE Studio is our bright and airy upper level studio where our yoga & mindful movement classes are held.

Blaze Fitness and Breathe Yoga are AMAZING!! ✨✨I have been going to Blaze for years and had to take two years off because of a complicated knee replacement. Started back up two months ago. I cannot believe how strong I was compared to just starting up again! Kari and the other instructors are very knowledgeable and help you thru your workout and if you need to modify some movement. Seriously, she and the other instructors make Blaze truly amazing whether you’re sweating during our ever rotating TRX and circuit sessions or finding your center in the yoga classes! After doing martial arts for 4 years, I was looking for a place to work out where I could maintain my strength and flexibility. It's also important to me to have guidance from a pro, and to have a good sense of community. Blaze and Breathe have been perfect for this. I’ve been attending fitness classes at Blaze and yoga classes at Breathe for about six months, and I highly recommend both! As someone who was relatively new to yoga and had never taken group fitness classes before, I felt welcomed into a friendly, down-to-earth community from the start. The vibe is inviting, and everyone supports each other, regardless of fitness level.

The instructors are exceptional. Kari, Kristen, Miye, and Heather are not only knowledgeable but also incredibly thoughtful, ensuring everyone feels comfortable and supported. I especially appreciate their dedication to correct form and the personalized modifications they offer, which have been extremely helpful for my lack of flexibility and past injuries.

I’m OBSESSED with BREATHE yoga and all of the goodness that fills me the moment I step in the peace filled studio. It’s so much more than yoga. It’s a welcoming community of beautifully diverse humans & instructors where everyone is welcome & feels at home. I discovered BLAZE Fitness and BREATHE Yoga in downtown Middleton several months ago and on top of fun (and challenging -- in a good way!) fitness classes and expertly guided yoga classes, I found the most welcoming and supportive community of people. Kari teaches many of the classes and focuses on each person's individual fitness journey, provides helpful guidance on form (to avoid injury and achieve fitness goals) and in addition to being a ton of fun, is the one who fosters a community unlike any other I have experienced. I had been looking for a yoga class, and found so much more.

After my favorite yoga studio closed during the pandemic, I started taking yoga at BREATHE. The stone walls, calming atmosphere and experienced teachers reminded me of my old studio and is everything I wanted for a yoga class. Eventually, I started attending Kari's TRX classes and fell in love with them. I'd never taken TRX before and was a little intimidated, but I was immediately welcomed by everyone in the class. Kari's workouts are thoughtful, instructive, challenging and I can't believe I'm going to say this, but they're also so fun. I'm so grateful to be part of the community Kari has created at BLAZE.

I take TRX classes for seniors, principally to help rehab my leg strength after a whole knee replacement. What a difference! I've developed muscle symmetry that had been lacking for nearly 40 years of chronic osteoarthritis. I kind of feel like I did in my 30s! Kari Woodall is absolutely spectacular as an instructor.

I have gone to BLAZE Fitness for over 5 years. Kari is an incredible instructor and knows more about the body than anyone I know. I attend the Smolder classes and the BREATHE Yoga, which are focused on over 55(?) but let me tell you...it's a hard workout and yet doable. Kari works with what you can do and before you know it, you can do quite a bit! I can't say enough good things about these classes. I drive from the east side of Madison to get to them in Middleton. That should tell you something! :-)

I learned about Kari and her Blaze studio while I was looking online for a TRX class for mature adults who like high precision workouts. I am so grateful! Kari is an exceptional instructor who is able to deliver an amazing hybrid TRX workout with some participants in her studio and some, like me on camera. I truly enjoyed my yoga experience with Carrie! My boyfriend and I were traveling and decided to take a yoga class on Sunday morning. We just dropped in without reservations and Carrie was kind enough to let us stay. The class was a slow flow and it was just what we needed. We were working on our neck, shoulders, hips and spine. So happy I found Blaze while visiting Middleton! I took their BEAT class and it was very well rounded integrating stretching, compound movement, explosive movements, cardio components and more. Really great boutique gym with exceptional instructors and beautiful building. I love this as a place to learn proper form and build strength and mobility. There are many intense, fast CrossFit type gyms where you can easily get injured esp as a new person. This is the perfect alternative in my opinion. I've been a lifetime athlete and I'm in my 50s and still very active and strong. I really love Blaze as it's exactly what I was looking for. And the people are so friendly. It's like a little community.

I’ve trained with Kari for 7? Years, and this is my “tribe”. Kari and her instructors know movement, know the body, know how to prepare you for hard work, do it, then wind down. It’s efficient strength training. My posture and my outlook on life are better when I am there 2-3 days a week. Whether you do the full program daily, or use it supplement training in another sport, it’s awesome. And to top it off, the community is supportive, fun and welcoming.

I started working out with Kari almost a year ago on a recommendation from a friend. I was doing a lot of running at the time and having issues with my back due to my scoliosis. Since I started working out with Kari I feel so good! She is always taking extra time

Blaze Fitness and Breathe Yoga studio have been my go-to for stress-relieving workouts and wind-downs. Kari and her team offer excellent coaching, always being mindful of accessible workouts for everyone regardless of fitness level or experience. There's constant attention to each person, ensuring that all are getting an effective workout without the risk of injury, and modifications for those that have old or new injuries. The Breathe Yoga studio upstairs is so full of light that I always leave feeling more centered, whether its Kari's or Miya's Flow classes, or the evening Restore classes with Heather. The community is also what makes Blaze so special. Everyone is friendly and funny. I can't tell if my abs hurt from the workout or the many laughs. Either way I'll take it!

I started training with BLAZE 6 years ago when I was recovering from a re-herniated disc. I wanted to work on my core strength to help prevent another re-herniation. I remember being nervous to start, but the hardest part was showing up the first day. Kari is wonderful instructor with a lot of knowledge; it almost feels like training with a physical therapist. I love the variety of classes throughout the week—it's a great balance of both cardio and strength training, along with plenty of mobility. These are classes you will be able to keep coming back to, no matter your stage of life. BREATHE is the yoga studio above BLAZE and is just as great. The yoga instructors are all top-notch and the space is beautiful.
