I saw there was a workout for a member who was diagnosed with MS and I couldn’t help but support another small business doing great things. Mitch was an awesome coach running the workouts and heats with professionalism and realism that made it feel like a comfortable environment. The space is awesome, a perfect size where there’s enough room but close enough to other people the get that awesome energy. I can’t wait to come back and drop in again!

Drove down from Allenton for a MS charity WOD and had a 10/10 experience. Everyone was friendly. Space is super clean. Equipment is in great shape. The warm-up was specific to the WOD. Love everything they’re doing here! Also… really enjoyed the aesthetic 🏁

I got into CrossFit just over 2 years ago when my friend encouraged me to try a class. I walked into CrossFit Woolly Mammoth on day one and haven’t looked back since. I learned a lot thanks to CFWM and it’s been amazing to see what my body is capable of doing.
What sets this gym apart is the programming and technical expertise. Every movement is taught with a focus on form, safety, and efficiency. You’re not just working hard, you’re learning how to move well and train smart. Whether it’s weightlifting, gymnastics or conditioning, I’ve learned more here than anywhere else.
CFWM is also full of people of all ages, backgrounds and fitness levels. Everyone is encouraged to scale to their ability and the atmosphere is welcoming and supportive. I’ve made great friends here and the workouts are fun even when they’re tough.
If you’re on the fence or just curious about CrossFit, I can’t recommend this place enough. Come in and see what it’s about. That’s all it took for me.

I joined CrossFit Wooly Mammoth because home workouts just weren’t cutting it—I needed more accountability and support.
Now, 1.5 years later, I’m working out more consistently than ever, and I have CFWM to thank for that. Mitchel, the owner and head coach, delivers top-notch programming that keeps things fresh and challenging every single day. No two workouts are the same, which keeps me engaged and motivated.
The coaching team is incredibly knowledgeable and always offers scaling options so everyone—regardless of experience level—gets a great workout. Classes are fun, supportive, and well-structured.
And the community… wow. I can’t thank this gym enough for the friendships and sense of belonging I’ve found here. I’ve tried other CrossFit gyms and always felt intimidated, but CFWM was different—I felt welcomed from day one. The members are friendly, encouraging, and always ready with a cheer or high-five to help you push through.

After a few years of back-to-back marathon training, I came back to CrossFit, choosing CFWM to return I couldn’t be happier. This gym has helped me find the perfect balance, I love running, but I also love lifting, and here I get to improve both.
Mitch, the owner and head coach, is everything you’d want in a coach; knowledgeable, supportive, and challenging in all the right ways. He makes training fun, keeps me progressing, and is thoughtful about helping me tailor workouts so I can balance lifting cycles with race goals when it matters. The rest of the coaching staff is equally amazing, creating an environment where everyone feels pushed, safe, and encouraged.
What really sets this place apart, though, is the community. I’ve met some of my closest friends here, and the energy in and out of the gym is something you just don’t find everywhere. It’s not just about getting stronger or faster (though I’ve done both); it’s about being part of something bigger

I’m not a regular member at CFWM because of my schedule but Mitch (and crew) make me feel like one when I’m able to. Mitch is a very knowledgeable coach and always puts safety as the first priority. His focus is on helping us learn and master the proper technique to prevent injuries. Once we have the proper technique he encourage us to do more. The environment is great it feels like you belong to a community

I was a new to CrossFit. Mitch seemed like he enjoyed training people new to this fitness world, but it quickly became evident that if you were not experienced in CrossFit, a bro, a cute girl in her 20s or had something you could offer him, like community status, he wasn’t interested in helping you succeed. I saw and spoke to women my age at his gym and found out he made more than one individual cry during workouts, either by humiliating them because they couldn’t do a handstand push-up or consistently pointing them out and making an example of them if their form wasn’t proper. He also liked to gossip about other members who weren’t
there for that days training.
If you’re looking for military training and humiliation during your workouts, go here. If you’re looking for a supportive environment with a coach who actually cares and is kind, find somewhere else!

Joined CrossFit Woolly Mammoth a little over a year ago when the whole concept was totally new to me. Mitch is such a great coach (and person!!) and made the journey enjoyable from the start. His programming is smart and it actually works; I’ve never felt this strong, and it’s made my everyday mom life with two kids so much easier. I love that there’s something for everyone. New or experienced, there are always scaling options that still push you. Mitch has an awesome team of coaches, and the community here makes it even better.

I just received a message that today was my 75th workout! I used to go to the gym, but I never thought I’d be excited to run out the door just to make it to three workouts a week — and starting next month, even 4–5 times a week. That has never happened before.
I never believed CrossFit was for me, but CrossFit Woolly Mammoth has truly become my place. Mitchel believes in me and knows my limits better than I do myself. The entire coaching team is highly qualified — they guide us, teach proper form, break down movements, correct mistakes, and always keep an eye on everyone.
I can already see positive changes in my body and muscles, and I don’t want to stop here. This gym has given me energy, confidence, and a real love for training.

I’ve been a member at CrossFit Woolly Mammoth for over a year and a half now, and I couldn’t be happier. As a recent college grad, I was hesitant about the cost that comes with any CrossFit gym—but joining was absolutely worth it. The community here is incredibly supportive, and it has quickly become the best part of my day. Mitchel Klopp, the owner and head coach, clearly knows his stuff. I always was interested in CrossFit but was always scared of the financial committment. After being a college athlete for 5 years, then spending 10 months failing to maintain the same passion for fitness...CFWM is what made me re-fall in love with moving my body and competing again. Being broke and fresh out of grad school, the financial committment was WAY worth it because it made me happy and feel good. After only about 3 months, I felt overall more athletic than I had ever been. The community is welcoming and fun, every person is coached thoroughly each day, and the workouts are addicting. CrossFit is for everyone, so if you are considering joining, I promise there will be no regrets at CFWM!

I’ve been coming to CrossFit Woolly Mammoth for about a year and a half now. I’ve never seen such a massive transformation in my strength and physique coming 4-5 days/week. Mitchel is very knowledgeable when it comes to Olympic Lifting and CrossFit. The community is amazing and I’ve made some great friends in the last 18 months here. Highly recommend if you’re tired of the same old workouts you’re currently doing and want to change it up and really challenge yourself to be the best version of you.

Fantastic gym and people. Great programming that's modified and scaled as needed for ability / injury / age / whatever. The facilities are always super clean and organized. The owner and all coaches care about the members and make sure they are doing well. I was new to the area and was welcomed by everyone and have made not only great progress physically, but many friends. I've been doing CrossFit for over ten years for staying in shape, but am not competitive or advanced, but still feel very welcome. I have been to many gyms around the country, and this one really has it all. I'm so thankful this gym exists and is as great as it is.

I have been here for almost two months now, and this is one of the best gym communities that I have been a part of. Mitchel has helped me overcome long-term previous injuries and regain confidence in myself again. All of the coaches are supportive and push me to try new things and constantly congratulate me on personal achievements. The members are all incredibly friendly and welcoming. I was intimidated walking into something that I had never done before but everyone at CrossFit Woolly Mammoth has made me feel welcome. Definitely a place I plan to be at for a long time.

It’s taken me several years of different gyms and programs to find a place with programming and coaching as effective and excellent as CrossFit Woolly Mammoth. The owner and head coach cares if you show up and give it your best. He programs himself and stands true to the CrossFit methodology - constantly varied. You’ll never see the same workout twice but will always be challenged to build skill and strength. You’ll always be welcomed by a smiling face from a friendly member or someone genuinely happy you came in to better yourself.

I've been a member at CFWM since day one and couldn't be happier. The community at the gym is super supportive. The equipment and space is always clean and organized for every class. Mitch is a great coach, knowing the perfect balance between pushing people to try to do new and difficult movements but also being safe and driving proper technique. I recently joined Crossfit Woolly Mammoth. The gym is spotless, very well organized and everything has its place. Mitchel is truly the best coach and really cares about each member! I have a physical challenge (only have 1 ½ arms) and he is very willing to work with me. He is very knowledgeable, professional, patient, easy to talk to, great to work with and able to adjust any movements as needed for me. I’ve not taken a CrossFit class in over 18 months and he was very encouraging when I thought I couldn’t do a movement (box jump) or I was getting tired. The members have also been very welcoming and supportive. I’m looking forward to working with Mitchel on my fitness journey and seeing what I will accomplish with his guidance. I’m so happy to be a part of the Woolly Mammoth herd!

Mitchell is an awesome coach. He communicates clearly, ensuring that you are clear on what is to be done. He pushes you without overdoing it. This is not your typical over the top über intense CrossFit gym. Mitch and the crüe (members) are focused on challenging and pushing themselves while enthusiastically encouraging each other. I am a weak (no regular exercise for a year plus) middle aged (47) mom, and quickly felt at home here.

Mitch is a fantastic coach and this gym's sense of community is one of its biggest strengths. As someone who has been active my whole life but is new to CrossFit, Mitch has provided a great sense of structure and variability to the programming to accommodate my current abilities. Best of all, I can already tell the positive difference these classes have been having on my physical health. Mitch is fantastic! I just finished foundations course last week and it was great! Mitch takes the time to breakdown each lift into detail, so you understand how to do it properly and safely. This new gym is rad!! The space is small but just adds to the family-feeling of working out here. Equipment is all brand new. The owner is vey knowledgeable and experienced; I always feel safe but pushed to be better when he’s coaching! He also specializes in coaching Olympic lifting which is a huge plus. The community here is bar none and I always look forward to coming in!

I completed my first ever CrossFit class tonight and while it was hard I’m so happy I did it and can’t wait to come back. The group of people in class were so welcoming and encouraging, I immediately felt apart of the community. Along with that, the owner did an amazing job teaching technique and really working with you to make sure you were getting the most out of your time. All around this was an amazing experience and one of the best workouts I’ve had in a long time. I will definitely be back!
