Best Gym in Eau Claire! The gym is rarely ever crowded. The gym equipment is maintained very well and the community is extremely kind and gives off a very local feel to it. You can tell the owner really cares about his gym and makes the place feel like home. Highly recommend!

Unfortunately I have to downgrade my review of this gym. It used to be a great place, however, the atmosphere has altered significantly over time. Currently the membership size has grown to an uncomfortable level, leaving many members without a spot to exercise. With growth change must occur & the owner refuses to grow his space. Much of the current space & equipment isn't utilized to the best of its ability.
One member in particular has no regard for gym etiquette or respect for other gym members. I've been lifting for nearly 30 years & I've NEVER encountered anyone as lacking in gym knowledge as this woman. Shes absurdely loud, utilizes multiple stations & weights for over an hour at times. Peak times! The owners been approached about her by several members & he refuses to do anything about her. I'm not sure if it's cost him members yet but I know I'm seeking membership elsewhere & several of the members I've spoken with are as well. The owner seems to have personal relationships with certain members which garners them special treatment.
It should also be noted there's no personnel available after 6pm. It's a free for all & MANY teenagers show up at this time to disrespect the facility. I've cleaned up afterthem several times yet it continues. I'm really not sure why the owner is so passive & refuses to enforce gym etiquette unless he's threatened by the staff at the VA clinic next door. They've made it so no one in the gym can lift a little heavy.

Worked out here for several months during the summer of 2023. Paul, his wife, and other gym goers could not have created a nicer environment to work out in. I would highly encourage anyone of any ability to give this gym a try.

I’ve been coming to Empower since I was 16 years old. I’m turning 21 this year and have still never been disappointed! Paul is the most kindhearted and supportive owner and promotes such an amazing gym environment. I’ve never been let down these past 5 years! Couldn’t say enough good things about this place!!

I spent the month of November in Chippewa Falls WI and needed a place to exercise. This place was fantastic! Great equipment that is well maintained with many friendly locals.

The owner is very friendly and is usually there during the day to answer any questions or just discuss the news if the day if you like.

Definitely the best gym in Chippewa! The Owner and his wife are very good people. The price of $35 a month is hard to beat, also the atmosphere of this gym is great.

I been apart of this gym almost 5 years the members are nice and the owner is amazing he is not Racist I am African American male and me and Paul have conversations about life in general and those conversations are positive and caring I will not let someone call him racist because he is not, maybe the person claiming that he is racist should get to know him like I do, and not say thing like that about Paul, Paul and his wife is awesome very friendly atmosphere he is not Racist and I am a black middle age male that works out there on the regular 💯💯💯❤️❤️❤️

I used to live in the Eau Claire area and tried out this gym recently while on vacation. This is an incredible gym with an incredible owner! I wish this gym had been around while I lived here. If you are looking for a fitness home, I cannot recommend this one enough!

Hands down the best (in my opinion) gym in the ec/Chippewa falls area. Great variety of equipment, clean and organized, reasonably priced, overall just a great comfortable environment.
