Gym Fitness center Physical fitness programAbout the Club
Eupraxia is different than the traditional health club, gym or fitness center. Every workout is an instructor led, group fitness experience. Your coach and teammates are always right there to help you stay motivated and to push you to reach your goals.
Eupraxia is designed to help people get stronger, lose weight, fit into clothes you havenβt worn in years, have more energy with your family, or simply to look and feel better. We do not teach a gimmick or diet fad and we do not try to sell you on some magic pills, powders, or potions. We teach you how to make healthy food and exercise choices to achieve your goals. Our program works for everyone, even if you havenβt exercised in years, as long as you are willing to put in the effort.

Very hard getting started. I'm in terrible shape. But, I'll try to keep going. I understand it will get better as I get stronger. Which, is my goal.

Here's a shoutout to Steve Czys, Eupraxia, Danna Johnson, and the trainers and devotees at West Salem Eupraxia! Thank you for such an amazing fitness and nutrition program, positively killer workouts, great trainers, and supportive Eupraxians (especially, Ginny and Deb π)!
My fitness and health journey started on February 11, 2022. After shedding 25.4 pounds, gaining strength, and increasing my stamina during the 6-week challenge, I was hooked and signed up for a year. I've been sidelined by a knee issue. Along with PT exercises and bike riding, I have continued eating nutritiously. As a result, I'm down 54.2 pounds as of this morning. I really miss the workouts at Eupraxia and cannot wait to get back to them.
Coincidentally, I had labs done on the same day I started the 6-week challenge and had them rechecked three months later. I went from elevated levels to normal levels for my A1C, average glucose, and kidney function. That's a huge bonus!
My goals starting out were focused on mobility, energy, and stamina. They've all increased tremendously! Steve's teaching videos really brought home eating for nutrition: to give my body the good construction materials it needs to function optimally.
I'd like to burn another 93 lbs of stored energy π€£ off my body. I keep saying, "Where will I be on February 11, 2023?"

I just completed the 6 week challenge and lost 24.6 lbs and lost 4% body fat!
6 weeks ago I
-was out of breath walking up the stairs
-didn't fit into my clothes
-sat in my chair a lot at work
-couldn't do a single pushup correctly
-had high anxiety all of the time
-viewed food as something that makes me happy
I now feel more confident about myself and have more energy!
I celebrated Saturday by having a pizza. It was great as I craved pizza this entire time. But afterwards I was just like meh, wasn't all it was cracked up to be. I rewarded myself with that pizza and now I want to jump back all in. I know I still have a long ways to go but I truly feel like this is a great start to a lifelong new me. Yes...I will still treat myself now and again, but not like before.
I'm excited to start new goals of losing more weight and getting better at the exercises that we do at the gym. For the next 6 weeks I personally would like to lose another 15 lbs. After that, I don't want to worry about the scale and concentrate more about how I feel.
I started this journey because of my backpacking trip I take with my 7th graders each year. 3 of us take 18 7th graders 30 + miles over 3 days time with everything on our backs! Last year I struggled most of the way and even had one point where I didn't think I was going to make it. (Erika saved me with a granola bar at that point) Never again will those 7th graders kick my rear end. I'm going to be doing laps around them!
I'd like to thank Erika for joining me as a workout partner, Danna and all of the trainers for providing encouragement and forcing me to work hard, and all of the other members for their high fives and conversation. I'd also like to tell the mothers who bring their kids to the gym that I absolutely love it! Those littles keep me smiling during these hard workouts.
I'm not going to post before and after pics here because I'm a teacher and don't want them to get out. If you are interested I'd show you. Big difference. Can't wait to see the next pic on my one year anniversary here.
Thanks to all. I'm here to stay.

I love Eupraxia! I just finished their 6 week challenge and I have learned so many things! The people that go there are fantastic and supportive. Being a bigger gal, I was very worried I would feel out of place. Every single person there has made me feel comfortable and encouraged me to keep on track. I look forward to these workouts and it is so much more than that. The nutrition aspect has been huge for me and they give you recipes, information, and teach you that nutrition isn't a diet, it is a life style. Thank you, Eupraxians for being so supportive!

There is nothing out there like Eupraxia. Eupraxia got me in the best shape of my life, even better than when I was playing football in college. There isn't anyone who shouldn't be going here.
