10/10 experience would recommend, a very welcoming gym no matter who you are, where your from, or what your goals are. Joey helped me with sign up and has so far been a good part of the motivation and advice to keep me here.

I was just in the weight room and some lifters were calling for the death of a group of people. I didn't hear which group but when I notified the front desk who was saying it, they said well they are talking about politics, as if that was ok. Very scary place to be in the climate we are in. The person at the front desk made it sound as if this was just normal talk. When I asked for clarification why that was normal, the front desk person told me to talk to them. I tried to explain my fears for when I walked by and tried to talk to them they stopped talking and gave me a dirty look for even hearing them. I asked the front desk for clarifications but it was on me to solve it. I just don't want to get shot or killed with the way people talk to each other. I was told I was safe in the gym but you can never be to careful in this day and age outside. I could go in greater details but Google limits the amount one is able to write here. I went hear in the past around 2012 and had similar situation which caused me to stop going and when an associate told me to try it again to see similar results knowing the same intolerance still existed here made me check out for good. Plus this gym like other comments is filthy. No one is cleaning equipment nor was there a push to keep it clean. Gross place and gross behaviors. I really could go on. The owners reply answer it all. I hope this gives him enough detail why I feared for my life. We all saw the shots fired and what is happening with freedom of speech so I am sorry for asking for clarification when the front desk explained he knew what the people were talking about. I hope this clarifies it. It would have been. Nice for real reassurance instead of getting my concerns thrown in my face. Believe me Mr. FRANCK I will never be making that mistake again. Like I said to the front desk you have freedom of speech not the freedom to call for people to be killed. No matter who you are or your beliefs.

A good gym with plenty of good equipment. Free weights, machines, cardio equipment, supplements, etc. What's not to like? Everything is clean. If you want something wiped down, they have spray bottles and towels for your use so everything is sanitary if you do your part. In other words, don't be lazy and then low-ball them on the review because you didn't want to take 2 seconds to make sure cleanliness was up to your standards.

I have worked out at this gym a few times with my little sister. I’m rating it 2 stars because it is very unclean. Not once in the few times I have been there did I see anyone wiping down equipment after use. The entire gym reminds me of a garage and a lot of the machines are out of order… so, if you care about cleanliness and being able to use the equipment you want to, I’d recommend the Woodson YMCA.

Absolutely love Francks Gym. Such a friendly environment where everyone feels like a big family. Everyone is always welcoming, supportive, and kind. Natures kitchen is a huge plus for all your supplement & protein needs. The 24 hour sauna, tanning, and gym access is top notch. They have free classes for the members, Lydia’s yoga classes is one of my favorites!! Joey, the gym district manager is always so helpful as well!

Franck's Gym is the best in town! My husband and I have been loyal members since 2020, and we've tried other gyms, but none compare to Franck's. It's huge, with all the equipment and facilities you could ever need, and the service is top-notch. What sets it apart is the welcoming atmosphere that makes you feel like part of the family. This was my first time there. Equipment was solid, atmosphere was good, felt like a gym should. Staff was super nice, and Jeremy one of the trainers offered suggestions and help while we were getting used to the gym . Very happy with the choice to sign up.

There's a nice variety of equipment and separation of spaces for a moderate size gym. The employees are awesome! And the members overall keep to themselves and mind their own business. There are class offerings according to their calendar but I have not tried those yet.

Visited this gym a few times while visiting family in Wausau. Loved the grungy powerlifting vibe. Franck’s gym has all the equipment one would need and then some, there’s also a cardio section and stretching area. The service was great, too and so was the price. Highly recommend Franck’s!

Visited for the day while I was driving through Wassau and I have to say this is one of the bettter gyms I have ever been to. I visit quite a few gyms to while traveling and this seems to be as good as any. Awesome equipment, very clean, has absolutely everything and the staff while I was there was there gave me great customer service. If I ever have to workout in town again this will be the gym I'll be going too, no brainer

New to Wausau. Decided to check out a few gyms in the area. Franck’s gym is by far my favorite. Massive selection of exercise equipment. From plate loaded machines to free weight stations to cardio, they have such a variety of stuff there. Then for some hardcore lifters they have tons of chains and resistance bands, they even have a REVERSE HYPER MACHINE. Which is the first I’ve ever seen in a public gym. Plenty of squat racks and benches. Plus if you are a member it’s open 24 hours day, discounted supplements at their in house store. They even have a supplement vending machine, just Incase you forgot your preworkout or protein at home. I’ve also never seen a $5 flat rate for tanning. They won’t kick you out if you slam a weight, like at certain chain gyms (which has happened to me). Staff is friendly, probably some of the warmest people I’ve met in Wausau so far. Franck’s gym is what you would get if a big chain gym had a baby with an old school gym.
They also have this cool section in the back for ladies trying to get some privacy while they are working out. Can’t even imagine going anywhere else in town.

This used to my home away from home. I've known and respected Bryan Franck forever. Until he told us that we are "no longer welcome there." For no reason. I was in the hospital, undiagnosed, and couldn't even move my toes, let alone my legs. That is the scariest feeling in the world. People thought I was dying, which was true. Bryan Franck kicked me out of his gym, he turned a 180 circle and is not the same guy he used to be. There were rumors, and the source of the rumors is where people need to look at.

Been a member for over 10 years. This gym has been molded by some of the greatest legends coming out of this area. One of the last remaining places where everyone is welcome and there's not a person here who wouldnt help someone out. Clean old school equipment along with modern traditional gym equipment. All in all, the best place I've ever worked out, worldwide.

Cheap. Lots of options for a work out. Rarely crowded. However there has been poop smeared in the mens locker room for over a month. People dont whipe down equipment after use. You'll watch others lay in someone else's dried up sweat all the time. Would be a great place if people would clean after themselves and not smear feces on the locker room walls

Stopped in here late on a Friday to get a workout in while on a weekend trip up from Chicago, as I got passes from La Quinta where I was staying. Called to ask about hours and spoke to the nicest guy ever, who I met in person once I got there. Well kept and clean gym, nice quality equipment, and extremely polite and accommodating staff willing to help you get your workout in at off-hours. One of the nicest experiences I’ve had in a while. Made spending Friday night on a treadmill way less miserable! 100% recommend this place. 5/5 stars for sure. This place deserves your business.
