My grandkids and I attended the ymca block party. It was amazing, the kids had so much fun. There was so much to do and amazing sponsors with plenty of prizes.
Asking the kids what their favorite part was they couldn’t choose, they said they loved it all. Thanks for helping to make beautiful, fun memories.

It's a clean facility with lots of cardio equipment but not necessarily enough weight equipment. Theres only about 4 benches in the dumbell area and one of them is broken and won't go all the way down. There doesn't seem to be enough 45lb plates to go around as there's times im having to go across the room hunting for them when there's a lot of people in the gym. Will probably try a different YMCA location for my gym needs.

Called and spoke to Debbie on the phone, she was so pleasant and easy to talk to! I felt like she really cared about my questions and she gathered as much information as possible! I called about two other locations before I received this type of care service, my father is an elderly wheelchair-boundperson who I’m trying to find a good community to join so he can start having a schedule and remain a part of his community, thank you, Debbie & thank you to the director who is nearby to answer. Any questions! We are so excited to join this community.

Really rude staff , I had moved and live farther away and was told different information how to cancel it. I explained that to the lady and she blamed me for signing a contract and then just hung up when I was simply told false information on how to cancel a membership.

there is a pool. there are locker rooms. there is also a pretty large weightlifting area but it is extremely overcrowded. the community at this gym is subpar. it is a trend to not put your equipment away. a lot of the machines are also a bit outdated and or torn on some parts. please add more plates (45’s and 25’s) because it is hard to find some if you are relatively strong and need more weight. there are some people who record here, without blurring people out in the back of their content which is posted on social media.
workers are somewhat kind. overall- they have all the equipment you would mostly need for a good lift, you just may need to wait or go search for some plates.

Absolutely disgusting! The amount of people that they allow in is ungodly (obviously no limit) you have to wait for almost every machine and even if you train CrossFit or calisthenics, you’ll be lucky to find enough floor space. They don’t seem to clean or maintain equipment. For a $15 day pass or a $35 monthly fee you can barely get a pump in. It would be nice if they cared for people instead of steel hard earned money. YMCA, you need to do better!!!!

I started going to this gym in April to try and change my life around. I went from 290-187. I could barely leave my house because of anxiety, paranoia, and having issues staying active at my size. I was so scared when I started going to the gym… and then I started going every day. I noticed other people who went every day. So friendly they would smile at me and notice me as well. The staff as well! It’s an environment that feels like a second home. It’s clean, up to date, and welcoming. It’s a place you can find comfort and some sort of routine🫶🏽 be kind to yourselves!

Really special place and very well maintained facilities. A big parking lot. A huge swimming pool, aquatic center, and there's a nice whirlpool hot tub. Lifeguards are always present and attentive during swim timings. Lockers, showers and restrooms are clean. The group exercise classes like zumba, line dancing, aqua fitness and many more are conducted very well. It's great to be there. Thank You.

Switched Friday Nights to be done at 9p.m. Week days should be 10p.m. I won't change review till they switch Fridays back to 10, which probably won't happen.
P.S. the staff could have been slightly nicer about my confusion. Apology would have been nice.

The gym is way too crowded and the people there aren't friendly. I feel like the staff don't care about what the place actually needs and only focuses on certain people.
If your looking to workout here, the equipment is pretty decent but there's not that much equipment compared to the amount of people that are in the area at one time.
There are many gyms that offer better options in the area, so I would suggest you check those out. I'm not saying you shouldn't go, but please reconsider for your own good.

Discrimination would be strong but feeling isolated or segregated would not be far-fetched. I’ve played noon ball at the West Side since 2006. Post pandemic, players have gotten away with hogging the court. I had a long discussion with Y director (Marsha) in hopes of improving member experience about a year ago. She only recently put up a sign threatening to banish anyone caught running the court. No enforcement. Complicit.
Many people I used to see here left. I’ve heard where they’ve gone. I’ve heard second hand they’re not happy. The irony is the YMCA has inclusion programs where I’m witnessing exclusion…and it feels organized, and have some theories why there’s an effort to discourage members like me.
I’m not litigious, but I imagine someone could be if they are/had been a member like me. My voice was not heard. In fact, it’s more insulting that up to 100 players would allow (be complicit) in winning five to exclude as many as 20 people waiting to play during noon hour. And, none will back me when I speak up. Think basis for a Lord Of The Flies scenario. They defy banishment. Why?
It’s complicit, the director appears a puppet. I get it. She doesn’t want to deal with it. Very bad message. I’m tuned in. A member (even) recently suggested a plan that would segregate members, and diminish the experience I’ve had, had signed up for. Who comes up with stuff like that? Others want me to play Pickle ball . Why??
The Y does not stand up for me, a 16 year member. 1 star.

What kind of person brings politics to a family organization?? Answer: Kay Webb, also known as “Karen”
Karen is a pejorative slang term for an obnoxious, angry, entitled, and often racist middle-aged white woman who uses her privilege to get her way or police other people’s behaviors.

Locker rooms on the first floor machines are on the second. No elevator. The fire stairway handrails felt like they were covered with crud when I questioned the staff they said it needed to be repainted, well, 'WHAT are you WAITING for?' Great pool and hot tub. I gotta say, things seem to be on a downward slide here. Most of the lockers will not stay shut. A lot of the cardio machines do not respond to a majority of buttons pushed and a number of them also wobble lots while being used. I’m sure they get beat on by lots of people, but with as much as memberships cost, I think facility and machine upkeep should be higher on the priority list. Other than that, I really do love the Y. Opening a little earlier would be great.

Rented a room for my sons birthday party Paid the $150 because when setting it up they said they could swim or play basketball in the gym. Told them i would only be playing basketball so wont need the pool. I was told that the gym doesn't have anything scheduled so the gym will be open for us. But after paying and getting the kids all together we found out that we didn't have the gym and in fact had to share with everyone else. This is not what she made it sound to me. I would have been half the price to get a day pass for the few kids i had. When i asked about it when there they refused to even do anything. I wouldn't refer anyone for a party here as it was poorly communicated the the $150 only lasted for 2 hours. were the day passes would have been all day which would have been a better deal.

ummm, i had a lot of fun there every other time i went but tonight, i went and had a bad experience. All the staff member are very nice and friendly to everybody, but this one worker named *Kathy* ruined the fun. It was 9:29, and me and my friend went to the front desk and were told we couldn’t leave until 9:30 or if a parent signs us out, keep in mind it is one minute to 9:30! Then at 9:30 i say “It’s 9:30” and try to walk past her and she stops us and says we need to put sweatshirts on. (We just got done playing basketball and currently in tank tops). I say, “ My mom doesn’t care, she is right outside”. She comes up to me and tells me “ If i can see your bra, that’s a problem.” in a snotty voice and walks away. Then i call my mom telling her that this lady won’t let us out of the building, so my mom has to come inside. Her and my mom were talking and she was acting so polite about everything in front of my mom, yet she was so rudely speaking to me, no thank you. She tells my mom everything that happen, obviously changing her words to make her sound like the better one here! She changed ‘bra’ to ‘undergarments’ which was stupid, and many more. She asks me my name and i look at her and say, “my name? Hailey *********, glad to tell you!” Then she tells me that i can’t go here for awhile. I walk away and say, “Glady”. Then push through the doors and into my moms cars *which was parked right outside*. She tells my mom her name and that’s how i know her name. So thanks ‘Kathy’ or ‘Cathy’ or however u spell it. Also more to the story, little details that would make this very long and more interesting. I am gladly going to a different YMCA or the Kroc Centers
