This year for teacher appreciation week, I’d like to give a big thank-you to Ms Tricia for her impact on our family. Our daughter, Hailey, has been going to Kidspirations Dance School since she was 16 months old… fast forward to 3.75 years, and what we have is a truly remarkable, ever blossoming experience. From her first jumps, to her first twirls, and everything in between. Watching your child thrive physically, socially, emotionally, musically, you name it.. it’s so special. The amount of care and attention given to each individual child is unmatched. Ms Tricia is the brains and the brawn behind KDS because she believes there is magic in every single little person that walks through her door. Poor communication:

I read great reviews about this place and that is what prompted me to email Ms. Tricia to inquire about availability for my 3 year old.

I emailed her on 2/1 to express my interest and received a reply back that same day to give her a call, as she would be in the office. She stated that there were two class openings. I was eager about the initial quick response that I received. I was unable to call her that same day during her office hours but after speaking with my husband and agreeing to put our daughter in dance, I called on 2/12 and left a message. I also followed up with an email on 2/12.

Because I did not receive any follow up from my call and email on 2/12, I sent another follow up email on 2/21. Ms. Tricia finally responded on 3/3 and stated that classes were no longer available, but the summer schedule would be coming out in the next week and that she’d be happy to send it to me. I responded on 3/4 and expressed my appreciation and stated that I would like the summer schedule emailed to me.

Once again, I never received any follow up. I emailed Ms. Tricia on 3/25 to inquire about the summer schedule and have not heard from her since. It is now May.

From another review that I read on here, it appears that she may have too much on her plate. I was really excited to enroll my daughter but the lack of communication and failure to follow through left a bad taste in my mouth.

I am currently in Kidspirations, and I would not recommend anyone signing up with them with how it currently is. It has so much potential but unfortunately poorly managed. The owner, Tricia is the ONLY coach and no one else is employed there so everything is on her shoulders. Throughout the winter , she would complain about suffering with migraines (completely understandable) but you could 100% tell she was in no mood to teach the children. She leaves the door locked so when you arrive you have to wait until she sees you to let you in(even when it’s freezing), and there’s been times when we’re right on time but because she hasn’t seen us right away so it made us a little late and would roll her eyes at us when opening the door and would not acknowledge you with a hello. When signing up, you receive absolutely NO communication or transparency with the season costs. The price shown on the website does not even specify it’s a monthly cost until I asked one of the moms there our first day because I thought it was weird it didn’t say anything. The only thing your daughter will be participating in is a recital and paying tuition every month for that one and only very recital will not guarantee you tickets and will have to pay an extra $15 a ticket to see your daughter at a local highschool. ( Prices for tickets weren’t even disclosed to us until about a week) So if you’re a family of 4 expect to pay $120 to attend both showtimes (there is 2 times in ONE day) or just “drop” your daughter off to perform unless you sign up to volunteer so you can be with her and see her dance from the wings. And since I could NOT afford that amount at the moment the tickets went on sale online now ALL tickets are now sold out and MANY families couldn’t secure a ticket (which I’m sure has to do because of the cost) and yes even if you have a almost 2 year old that you would like to have a seat, it is still full price. The girls did not fully learn the dances or was even choreographed until late March. None of the girls in both classes know the routine! So now Tricia’s idea is for the families to figure it out among themselves on Facebook in a post she made to try and convince the other families who were able to secure a number of seats to sell them to us, who have no tickets at all. And when I’ve mentioned to her about wanting help and it being normal to not always be at a 100% she dismissed me and said “not at all, not me”. With a mentality like that and wanting to be in control all the time, it seems like she’s taken on too much for just her. So in all, I have paid $800 in tuition alone for my daughter to be in two classes ,2x a week for 30 min(not including costume and pictures) , and that will still not guarantee you to see your daughter in a recital. Costs should cover at the VERY LEAST two tickets included for one showing for mom and dad. Then charging extended family and separate price for kids who are under 5. But she still expects you to take your daughter there and back twice to perform even if you can’t afford it. She’s also cancelled class a couple times for weather understandably and have said make up days will be figured out but we’re now at the near-end of the season and NOTHING has been mentioned of the 4+ classes cancelled. Nothing was sent out to us when she said she would because she had no time. So unless drastic changes are made, do not sign your daughter up here. It truly is a shame because my daughter does enjoy going and the potential is there to be such a great studio but one person alone cannot run a successful dance company. Tricia, I hope you see this and reach out so we can finally talk and find a solution out.

Ms. Tricia does such an amazing job of organizing and planning all the classes, including routines for the young ones so they not only learn dance but other skills as well. Our daughter is definitely impulsive, as most toddlers are, and I can tell the influence Ms. Tricia's method of education has been on helping her learn how to control her impulses and to take direction. Our daughter loves her class so much and Ms. Tricia has helped us succeed in class as well!

We started looking for a place that our 4year daughter could go to have flexibility while in treatment for leukemia. Kidspirations came so highly recommended and we can absolutely see why! The studio is kept so clean and we felt very comfortable with her in classes even during high cold and flu times. Ms. Tricia was wonderful and understanding during rougher times in treatment and our daughter absolutely has loved every second of classes. The recital was simply magical and our daughter asks almost daily to go back on the big stage because she just thought it was so much fun.

We cant thank Tricia enough for helping Rayne to have a more normal childhood experience during a pretty dark time. She has a talent that is more than just instructing dance, she helps build little minds in to confident and talented performers. Thank you

Would not recommend this dance studio. Tricia, the owner, filmed my granddaughter without the consent of her parents trying to suggest a medical issue and shared with her friend/friends, who really knows who got the video as is was sent to the parents accidentally through some recital picture share. Highly inappropriate and unprofessional. Anyone who supports the bullying of young children should be ashamed. This woman should not be in the business of teaching children when she makes judgments of a child that she's not qualified make. Then films a child and sends the video off to others! Totally inappropriate. I wonder... if she did this to my granddaughter... how many other families has she done this too and just has not been caught! Think twice before signing your young child up to be exposed to this absurd behavior by someone you are supposed to be able to trust!

Absolutely would not recommend this dance studio. Tricia, the owner and dance instructor filmed my child twirling and spinning at one of her summer dance camps without my permission, captioning it on Snapchat saying, "I'm not diagnosing but", in what we perceive to be a mocking manner suggesting she was on the Autism Spectrum. She claims she sent it to an employee, one who no one seems to know of or has ever worked with my child, nor was it their place to make such a judgment of a 3 year old. She never specifically brought up any concerns to us, never asked for permission to do such a thing as record her in this fashion, but was sending videos of our daughter behind our back to who knows who or how many people. Not acceptable. It was a violation of trust and privacy. If she truly was concerned/had good intentions she would have came to myself or my husband and discussed. But we discovered this video in our daughter's Google Photos drive which Tricia immediately deleted once we confronted her about it.
She also still continues to charge us for services she is no longer providing.
Unprofessional and cliquey behavior at this studio. Avoid and be very cautious who you trust with your precious kiddos. They deserve better!

Update: We are now in our 3rd performance season with KDS, and we continue to have a fantastic experience! I cannot emphasize enough what a blessing Ms. Tricia and KDS has been for our daughter! She has leaned so many valuable skills in class such as perseverance, bravery, responsibility, flexibility, and she has built lasting friendships. She continues to work hard with her friends in class, and it has been amazing seeing these girls grow into themselves, work hard, and then produce a wonderful recital performance at the end of each season. The look of pride on their faces at the end is priceless! In truth, I do not know how long our daughter will want to continue to explore ballet; it may be another season or five….but the life lessons and skills she learns in studio and on stage will last her long after she puts her tutu away for the last time.

Our experience with Kidspirations Dance School has been nothing short of spectacular! We started our journey with Kidspirations back in July of 2020. Prior to COVID, our family was very busy with extracurriculars, and our 3 year old daughter was really missing being involved in fun classes with other kiddos her age. I saw an advertisement for “Summer Sampler” classes at Kidspirations, and I thought the “Princess Ballerina” class sounded right up my daughter’s alley. After reading about the class, and talking with Miss Tricia about the safety protocols put in place due to COVID, I felt confident I could send my daughter safely. I am immunocompromised, so the most important thing to us was that our daughter could attend class safely.
I didn’t really know what to expect out of the class, and we had never done dance before, but my daughter really took to it, and that’s 100% because of Miss Tricia. She truly makes her classes engaging, fun, and MAGICAL! She has the patience of a saint and I swear she must speak “preschooler” because she somehow manages to get several little girls to actually dance AND have fun. They giggle! They dance! They listen and have fun!
After our sampler session was over, we knew we NEEDED to enroll our daughter in the performance classes. It’s critical for her to have a place where she can be with other kids her age while expressing herself creatively. I think sometimes, during this pandemic, we overlook our littlest minds, but the isolation and lack of socialization was really effecting our daughter. Since enrolling at Kidspirations, we’ve noticed such a huge change in her attitude. She, once again, has something to look forward to, something that is HERS, something she is developing a deep love for, and all in a place where I know she is safe, loved, and cared for. I can’t recommend Kidspirations Dance School enough! Thank you, Miss Tricia!

The teacher was unfriendly, unwelcoming, rude and she blocked the entrance (of the studio) in a bizarre manner so the parents couldn't enter the studio... She didn't explain why entry for the parents wasn't an option. She only presented the kids with roughly half of the activities she had previously advertised (on Facebook) and she didn't explain to the parents why the kids didn't receive everything that was paid for. I don't recommend this studio (or teacher) to anyone.

I attempted to contact the teacher several times before the Nutcracker event and she didn't answer or respond to any of my messages. We arrived at the venue early so I could speak with the teacher and finally have my questions answered. The teacher ran to the door and blocked our entry while saying, "You're too early, you can't come in now" and she refused to talk with us.

Both of our girls love Miss Tricia. Miss Tricia is patient, caring, thoughtful, fun, and professional. This was our girls' first time in ballet, and they want to stay with Kidspirations forever. One daughter said she wants to be just like Miss Tricia when she grows up. Miss Tricia has fun activities and events outside of dance classes. We just started seeing Mrs. Tricia over at Kidspirations dance studio and we love it! She is so good with all the little dancers, and even through this pandemic she has the set up down, and really makes us feel safe when we are there! This is our second season of dance with Kidspirations Dance School and my little one simply loves it! Ms. Tricia is so good with the kids and her passion for dance and teaching really shines at each and every dance class. With covid I was really on the fence whether to send my daughter this season, but with the new policies and procedures that Tricia has implemented I feel confident sending my daughter. Couldn’t recommend Kidspirations Dance School enough. Miss Tricia works so well with kids of all ages. She gets down to their level and makes classes fun and educational. She teaches the traditional French words for ballet and my 5 year old comes home remembering the words. With COVID she has taken all the extra precautions and is certified as a Safer Studio and was even able to have a beautiful and safe recital this past summer. I will always recommend this studio to anyone that is looking for their kids.

We just signed our daughter up for her second session. We have loved that our daughter developed some basic skills (such as left and right, body basics, and listening ears) in addition to dance skills. The class is a blend of developing dance knowledge, skills, and love of dancing with a grand finale of a recital. The whole class is not recital driven, but an extra that is added. Great job and keeping kids safe during Covid as well.
