Great YMCA. There are multiple weight and cardio rooms. Indoor tennis and basketball courts. 2 swimming pools, and lots of stuff for kids too. I came as a guest of a member but will definitely be getting a membership.

I joined so my kids and I would have a way to feel a part of our community as we live in the neighborhood but have found over the course of the membership that it does not provide that for us. Instead I felt I was made to pay way too much for something that did not provide any sense of belonging or actual community for my family.

They support "transgender." The last time I went here, there was a FEMALE who had her shirt OFF because she identified as a MALE.
My kids were asking me why that lady was shirtless. We were mortified. We left & never will come back.

The YMCA has been our go to place for swim lessons, childcare and workouts. On all fronts, they do a great job. I do wish they had more openings/classes but that's dependent on staff and size. The workout facility has recently undergone a change which really opened the space up, helping it feel less cramped. If I was to add one more complaint, it would be the WIFI offered. It's painfully slow. While it isn't an issue for those that want to watch something on their phone with unlimited data, being able to stream on WiFi should be an option for those who want to workout to music, or streaming services.

I have been going to the YMCA all over the country for about 15 years and this is one of my favorite YMCA's. I go about 5 times a week and from the first week I've felt nothing but warm hospitality. Great Y location. Located right next to Lake Michigan with views through large windows in the cardio room and weight training rooms. They offer a large array of cardio equipment, an updated free weight room with lifting platforms, and a machine/circuit room. There are also two large gyms, a walking track, three racquetball courts, indoor tennis courts (extra cost), a spinning room, two pools, hot tub, and more. They offer a wide array of classes, and even an hourly babysitting service. The locker rooms are all newly renovated, each with it's own sauna, and they have free towel service.
