I went there with my granny, and we were immediately treated with disrespect. Pamala started to subtly fat shame her and I was not happy at all with that, so I reported to their manager and then they said that it was true. Who would say such a thing? One star, never coming here again.

Very helpful, very kind welcoming studio. 10/10 would recommend checking it out, if you’re interested in learning and in the Kenosha Area.

Pam is the best yoga instructor I have ever practiced with - I cannot recommend her enough!

If you want a worthwhile class, with education behind the moves, schedule some sessions with Mindful Yoga.

My journey at Mindful Yoga began in 2019 when, at the advice of a trusted friend, I attended a Restorative Yoga class on a cool November evening. That experience turned out to be life-changing, and to this day I can still recall the feeling of complete and utter relaxation, the likes of which I had never experienced before.
Fast forward to the spring of 2020, and the Covid pandemic had forced us all home. Pam Grubb started having virtual yoga classes, and I signed up, figuring that I had nothing to lose, and I trusted that she would be able to help with the stiffness I was feeling from being locked away in my house day after day.
Those classes started the lifestyle that I can now proudly say I have adopted and continue to practice daily. The thing about Mindful Yoga, and Pam, that many may not know is that she is an educator. You don’t just do yoga in her classes. You learn about your body and your mind, but most importantly, your breath. And in that process, you learn things about yourself that you never knew before.
Four years later, and I am here to stay as long as she continues to teach. I recommend this studio for any person who thinks they can’t do yoga, for any person who has tried yoga and failed, for any person who has aches, pains, body issues, aging issues… isn’t that most of us? Pam can help you.

I had a serious ankle injury in March. I was following the doctor recommendations and finished 6 weeks of physical therapy. The ankle was the same. I began to worry I would never come back and enjoy my life as I had before the injury. I began one on one sessions with Pam and now I feel a deeper connection to my body and overall wellness after learning from her teachings and practice. I would recommend Mindful, Yoga Studio for anyone with mobility issues or injury trauma to get them back on track to total body healing. I will now attend regular classes! Pam holds a wealth of knowledge and has a true passion for helping people.

Have you been to a yoga class where you can't keep up with the pace and you are breathing hard just to keep up with the fast changing poses? THIS IS NOT THAT CLASS! Pamela Grubb is exceedingly competent, experienced and certified in yoga THERAPY. Pam is well versed in using yoga therapy for Pain Management, Mental Health, Medical issues, and Joint health. You spend time in each pose while Pam gently aligns you, reminds you about breathing, and walks you through each pose in such detail that you can do the practice with your eyes shut while focusing on your breath and balance. This allows you to build on and relax into each pose and practice, feeling competent and mindful.

I've been living with chronic lower back pain for many years and after numerous rounds of unsuccessful cortisone shots and physical therapy, a family member suggested I try yoga therapy. I began one-on-one sessions with Pam about a year ago and started to feel relief almost immediately. Her approach, in my case anyways, was focused more on lengthening and releasing than traditional yoga poses. Through low impact exercises she was able to target the areas I needed to work on and provided significant relief. Today I feel much better and am able to do considerably more than I was able to do before starting yoga therapy. I'm very pleased with the progress and I recommend Pam's yoga therapy classes to anyone looking for a path to better health.

I am finally beginning to understand my body a bit more.

It has been a long journey and it will probably continue the rest of my life. At the moment, I'm taking private sessions as well as a weekly group class.

Both are helping my body heal and feel better.

It has been MANY years since I took yoga classes. I decided to return to Yoga because the repeated PT was not a long term solution to the shoulder pain I've been experiencing. After a month of yoga therapy class, I added personal Yoga Therapy Sessions.

The two sessions, (Yoga Therapy Class and individual Yoga Therapy sessions) are providing relief to my shoulder. Hopefully I will continue to learn and grow in my understanding of my body and what it is trying to tell me, as I progress with the Yoga Therapy.

Movement is KEY as we age!

But we also have to listen to our bodies to understand what type of movement or rest, the body is asking for. This is not an easy concept for me. But I'm starting to get it.....

I have worked with Pamela for over 5 years and what I have learned about myself and my body in that time has been astounding! Pamela met me where I was when I began taking lessons with her. I was about a year out from having my hip replaced although I didn’t know it at that time. She was very patient with me accepting that there were just many, many things that I could not do. She taught me that there are adaptations that can be made in any pose to accomodate any issues a person might struggle with; whether with a chair, the wall, or the floor. She viewed me from a wholistic point of view: body, mind, and spirit. She somehow intuitively knows what my body needs from my descriptions of the “messages” my body gives me. She teaches me according to those messages: both physically as well as mentally because it is impossible to separate them. She’s also not afraid to give me a little “nudge” once in awhile when it’s appropriate which serves to keep me honest with myself! I would (and have!!) recommend her to anyone interested in living more comfortably in their body and their life. My chronic pain issues are much better and my understanding of my body and it’s needs has grown exponentially along with my ability to recognize and meet those needs. If it were possible to give Pamela 6 stars I would.

Pam is extremely knowledgeable and is able to look at the individual and offer poses and accommodations that work to relieve pain and stiffness. Being a yoga therapist makes her so much more attune to what you need to relieve discomfort. I highly recommend her especially for those who want to improve their overall health.

I highly recommend Mindful Yoga Studio to everyone of any age. I have been attending Pam's classes on & off for several years & it is the best thing I can do for myself. I have been suffering with a frozen shoulder which can take up to 2 years to fully heal but with Pam's help I have more movement in just a couple months than I ever expected. Her classes are not just about learning yoga poses...its so much more!

I have been regularly attending the yoga therapy sessions at Mindful Yoga since March. I'm a 71 year old woman who is somewhat out of shape, and beginning to realize I'm not as spry or energetic as I once was. I can honestly say that Pamela has changed my life for the better. She has a calm, soothing, professional manner. The breathing and stretching techniques have made me more relaxed, less anxious, more aware of my body's needs. I look forward to each session with Pamela, and am always refreshed and renewed after Yoga class. I cannot give Pamela a higher recommendation.

I LOVE Mindful Yoga! It has really helped me learn to decrease my stress and anxiety in a healthy way! Pam is very knowledgeable and helps students to actually learn the postures and utilize them at home. You can be experienced or have never taken a yoga class at all and you can benefit from it. I look forward to every class I have!

I was looking to relieve my sciatica, that I had had for almost 2 months, I'm not one to take a lot of drugs, so I looked at ways to relieve this,it says stretching, so I thought yoga does a lot of stretching and thought what could it hurt, I have never done yoga before, pam showed me stretches that she thought would be helpful, after the first class it felt better, this has helped me tremendously, I couldn't sleep it hurt so bad and in one session I felt some relief, so I went again and this is really helping me, much better than drugs or physical therapy the doc wanted to send me to. This woman knows her stuff😊

I had Pamela Grubb at UW-Parkside for Yoga 1; I loved it so much I took Yoga 2. I'm a pretty muscular guy (Army Grunt, bodybuilder) and I seriously lacked flexibility and calmness. After taking her first course I noticed a calmer and focused me, which made me happier and energized. She can be a little stern in the beginning but she is an absolute sweetheart.

I have never experienced yoga the way Pamela teaches! Not only does she TEACH you about your body, but she truly cares about your well being. She is there for YOU every week! She doesn't stand up in front and do the poses. She demonstrates and then walks you through them and helps everyone in the class during the pose. I love this way of yoga. I actually leave feeling I can do this on my own. I had a back problem two years ago that caused pain quite often and now only when it is really worked, do I remember I have an issue there. BUT she has taught me ways to release my tension and how to relax! I know how to address the issue when I have pain in my back.

As a teacher, I often don't stop thinking during the day and I love the opportunity to sit on my mat and work on me. If you are looking for a tremendous yoga studio, this is the ONE! It is money well spent! I plan to do this for the rest of life and I am only 25!!! Thanks Pamela for everything you have taught me and the joyful experience I get every week from your classes!!
