I went into Planet Fitness in Hartford this evening to look into a membership. Riley was OUTSTANDING!!! You just don't see young men nor women these days with the social personalities that he displayed.

He went through the membership options and was also handling other members with great poise and attention, while helping me with my membership sign up!

So attentive to all the tasks given to him at the same time!

I asked for a tour and he showed me around the facility. He explained everything so well and his work ethic is impressive for his age.

He even asked what I had planned for Thanksgiving and I asked him the same.

He definitely has sales qualities and that young man deserves a raise! He will be going places in the future!!!

I absolutely LOVE the Hartford Planet Fitness! The staff are very welcoming, you don't just feel like another "customer" walking in their doors- they remember you by name and make you feel like you are right at home. Additionally, I have been to a few other Planet Fitnesses around the country and this facility is easily the cleanest, well maintained, and organized Planet Fitness I have gone to. It is evident that the staff here go above and beyond to make sure the facility is clean, safe, and welcoming. I truly do love coming here because it really does feel like home! I am always greeted coming in and out. If I could give more than five stars I would, I would recommend this gym out of any surrounding ones because it has so much to offer at half the cost.

This planet fitness is great! The staff is all very friendly and helpful if you have any questions with how to use certain machines or get yourself in a good workout routine. Whether you are an expert or a beginner at fitness and working out, planet fitness is known for welcoming everybody no matter what shape you are in or how much you know. The gym is very clean and the staff is constantly cleaning and making sure the facility is well kept. Every time I go in for my workout I see staff constantly going into the bathrooms and everywhere else in the facility cleaning and stocking. They have very nice showers for members, nice big locker rooms and also free lockers for people that want to keep valuables locked up. They also have incredible massage chairs, hydro massage beds, a UV tanning booth which is phenomenal and great for your skin, normal tanning booths. Also one of my favorite rooms that they have is a meditation room that has a and has all different sorts meditation practices that is on an audio recording and has a TV screen you can watch with peaceful backgrounds it really is incredible for mental health and your overall well-being helping let go of stress. I highly recommend this planet fitness. The only bad thing I will say that I don't care for is when it is very busy there is groups of teenagers that come in together and take up a lot of the machines and half the time are not even working out they are just sitting there on their phones and talking. Over although this is a fantastic gym and I highly recommend checking it out

I signed up for Planet Fitness back in April of 2023. My family also has memberships here . My Mom loves the massage chairs in the black card spa area. I enjoy how clean the employees keep the space. I also enjoy how they have the equipment setup and how the room seems to have a nice flow to it. This is a great space with friendly staff and patrons. It is a very comfortable judgment free zone as specified in the commercials as seen on tv. If I had anything negative to say about this establishment it would be that they lack the equipment needed to make sure your body doesn’t develop unproportionally, such as any equipment to work out your neck.

Shout out to the dbag working nights tonight. I took a shower and when I went to leave the shower there was a guy cleaning the bathroom. So I just closed the shower curtain and decided to apply body lotion, deodorant and get dressed while he his cleaning the other stalls. While I am in there he says, "You need to wrap it up in there. I have to clean the shower." I tell him I will be done in a minute. I get dressed and go over by the sinks to dry and brush my hair. He returns while I'm brushing my teeth and continues cleaning the bathroom. I wrap things up and go to the front desk so I can tan. There is a sign saying the desk person is cleaning the restroom. I walk back to the womens restroom and he is gone. It's 2:00 a.m. and there are 3 other people in the gym. So I walk into the mens room to get the employee. He is coming out as I am coming in and I ask if I can tan. He says," You're not supposed to be in here but it's ok since no one is in here." I said, "My bad I thought the sign at the desk said to come and get you." He tells me that I was supposed to call and that I shouldn't have came in there because someone could have been in there. Well wait a second douchebag now I'm confused. I ask him," What's the difference between me being in the men's room when someone is in there and you in the women's room when I was taking a shower?" He replied that he is an employee and that made it okay. He then goes on to tell me I was in the shower for almost an hour. Well geez sorry I have long thick hair and I washed it and I shaved my legs. It takes a minute. I tell him I didn't realize there was a time limit on the shower. He proceeds to inform me that now I know there is a time limit on the shower and he is an employee and that makes both bathrooms his bathrooms and he can do what he wants. At this point he is running away and not answering my question on how much time I do have to take a shower. Whatever douchebag. You run the desk at Planet Fitness on nights in Hartford. Enjoy your power trip. I am curious though what's the tiime limit on that shower...

Absolutely horrible customer care. All am trying to do is change my home club, not like I’m leaving PF, I just don’t live in Hartford anymore. Anyway, I call, they tell me I have to do it online. I go online, website says call your home club. Call them back, guy says go online, I said no I can’t, he said then the manager has do it. I said ok, what is her name and I will talk to her. He goes “she doesn’t have time to deal with you I will leave her a message to call back”. I laughed and said are you really refusing to give me your managers name? “If you’re going to argue with me I’m hanging up, I can’t deal with this” was the response back. I said “fine, you need my name then or what?” Again he says “sir if you’re going to fight with me on the phone I’m just going to end the call” I told him I just asked if he needed my info. So I give him my name, and number, he botched the phone number so I corrected him and he got real mad, said “if you’re going to give me attitude we are done” and hung up! What the heck PF, now i just want to cancel!!

I love this planet fitness, it’s one of the biggest planet fitnesses I’ve been too. The nice wide open space is great because it never really feels too crowded except during the busiest of times between 5:00 pm - 7:00 p.m. The staff are very friendly and I have been coming here every week since this location opened in January. I joined to get that beach bod like in top gun, the beach scene. Kate the manager, Travis the assistant manager, Sarah and RJ were always super helpful and nice to me. I am a go go go workout guy, I really get into my workouts. This is supposed to be a judgement free zone. People complained about me all the time and how I was working out. Kate stuck up for me when people thought I was on drugs and shouldnt be acting like that. Travis was great and would play my music! There were some other nice clients there that said I inspired them. Being I have ADHD, and am retired military with a TBI who has been thru a lot this is my outlet. Again they claim to be a judgment free zone but people there don't like someone who is different. People shouldn't judge they never know what someone has been thru in their life. I was always super nice to everyone and would say hi to people and would give people a smile as being nice and smile can change someone's day.

I started going to the gym in July. I had never really been to the gym before and I was very anxious and nervous.

The past couple months have been great, I spend my lunch breaks here, and I plan to continue regularly working out here.

I was double charged for my membership for 2 months. When I called the club about this, the solution was to hold my membership for 2 months to make up the difference. I signed a contract for this. Yet for the last 2 months I was charged for the full black card membership. I have sent 8 emails asking to get this resolved... none have been answered. I called the club at 3pm to only hear that the manager was gone for the day. I was told I would get a call the next day. You guessed... it no call came, no emails answered. Haven’t had the best luck at Hartford. I have been going to West Bend for the past couple years and had no problems but the Hatford location seems to have more strict employees… I’m very aware of making sure i’m not dropping the weights and i guess the littlest thud noise is considered dropping them.
