I came in a couple weeks ago and it seems like they updated some of the equipment including treadmills, which is nice considering that last time I came here they had some old equipment after reopening after a remodel. The layout is still not my favorite, but this PF doesn’t seem to get as crowded as other locations.

I love the gym because of its location and proximity to my house. With that said, I have noticed that the weights for the cable machines near the TVs seem light in comparison to almost any other Planet Fitness I’ve been to. So if I can do 40lbs tricep pull downs on one side of cable machines at another PF, I can do 70+ lbs on the same side of the cable machines downtown, if that makes sense. They are all the same machines at each location, so I don’t know how to explain the huge difference. Something to keep in mind for people who care about numbers.

This is a great facility! They've got plenty of machines but I will say the free weights are lacking. When it gets busy (weekday evenings) it's hard to get a hand on any of the dumbbells. Friday nights and weekend mornings are the time to go if you want less of a crowd! Loved going to this gym overall the location is great and super convenient that it's right by the riverwalk.

Giving 3 stars because there's no available parking area specifically for this facility. So you're paying for the membership, paying to park, and depending on the day/time you may find yourself walking more than a few blocks. Mostly my issue is with the AC lately or lack thereof. When I started coming here 3 years ago, there was never a temp issue but the last 3 weeks, it's been rough. I inquired about the ac and was told it is on and there's no issue but it is obvious it's barely working. You're blasted with heat the second you open the first set of doors and briefly find relief when you walk into the main lobby. But I've come at 9am and 0000 to see if the time of day or the number of people make a difference and honestly it's just as hot with 5 people at midnight as it is in the middle of the day with a packed gym. I keep coming because it's the most convenient location but starting to consider going to another location or gym entirely. I really hope they get a fix on the AC soon.

I’ve been going here for the past 4 years and have had nothing but great customer service from the staff. Oscar ( manager ) has been such a joy to see everyday as part of my routine. A long with other great staff members like Eliza, Isi, and Ari. They all do such a great job at keeping the gym clean and safe for all gym users. Wouldn’t recommend any other gym location to go to. An excellent location. Kept clean and well maintained. The staff are friendly and hard working. I cannot recommend this location enough. Machines are spaced well, the layout flows great. I love the black card spa amenities. They have lockers with built in locks available for use. There is also a locker room in each restroom, with plenty of lockers. Showers and toilet stalls are kept sparkling.
Further. They have equipment for every level of fitness. There are QR codes on almost all machines to help learn how to properly use them, as well as tutorials via the app. They also have many dumbbells and cable machines. They are limited on barbells but have a few smith machines, which I appreciate as I don’t bring a spotter.

Solid gym! I just wish they would lubricate their smith machines, doesn’t move smoothly like at other planet fitness locations I’ve been to. I prefer a free barbell bench and this makes it feel even farther from that. The cable machines have the same issue, especially the one by the front door.

I love this place however can you please add a place (preferably between the front door and the desk where that hand chair is) for members to place their bikes and scooters that they ride to the gym? We don't want to leave them outside obviously and this would be very very helpful.

*Update* I talked with a manager and they said that they will not allow scooters or bikes to be placed in that area and have no intention to install bike/scooter lockers there.

This location is one of my two favorite places to go to for a nice workout. Planet fitness on Wisconsin Avenue in Milwaukee is one of a kind. They have tanning and light therapy equipment, hydromassage beds out of this world. The staff is great. They do there jobs while keeping it safe and very attentive to detail. I have found my tribe! #planetfitness

If I could rate this place negative stars I would. This place FALSELY ADVERTISES that you may “CANCEL ANYTIME” but will not allow me to cancel my membership. I recently found out that I have been being charged for a black card membership since October of 2024. I was under the impression that this membership was canceled due to the fact that I was locked out of the workouts within the app. This caused me to believe that the membership had ended and mistakenly I took no further actions. Looking at my credit card history I realized there was a charge being blocked by my bank. Over $600 worth of planet fitness fees unbeknownst to me. So I call and ask to cancelled and was told I had to come in face to face which was a large inconvenience to my schedule and was also one of the reasons I could no longer attend the gym. I arrive to planet fitness on Wisconsin and now I’m being told that THEY WILL NOT CANCEL MY MEMBERSHIP UNLESS THE ENTIRE BALANCE IS PAID. When I asked for further information I was met with attitude and shoulder shrugs. It pains me to believe that these greedy people will continue to charge you after borderline begging them for a payment plan you can afford to no avail. The audacity to advertise a false slogan should be illegal and I will be looking into taking action.

Why is this gym only open until 7 on Saturdays but midnight on Sundays? Please make it make sense. I miss when planet fitness used to actually have reasonable hours. My son moved to Milwaukee for college and switched his membership. They told him it was free parking, we have paid $800 in parking tickets before we got a clue. They lie to these young people and then screw them over with parking tickets before they get a clue. Screw Planet Fitness

Honestly highly disappointed, the gym itself is fine although lacking in free weights; my problem is with planet fitness itself. Why can you not cancel your membership on the app? I'm a student and I don't necessarily have a very busy schedule but I also have a job. Originally I did have time to go the gym but with my classes starting again I was unable to make time to go to planet fitness. Almost a month passes and a week before my due date I was able to make it and cancel my membership but I was told I still had to pay the annual fee and the classic membership fee. The annual fee itself is already 49 plus the extra 15 dollar fee... I'm a broke student who works at a non profit and gets paid in banana peels and toe nails.

PLANET FITNESS is only looking to take your money. Them not letting you cancel your Membership on the app is already enough proof regardless of anything else.

I had a wonderful experience. I wanted to sign up for a membership through my insurance but unfortunately the worker at the desk didn't know how to input the information. He offered that I could maybe wait for his manager or come back tomorrow. I decided to stay and wait and while waiting he offered me a day pass so I don't just sit and wait. Then when his manager was in they both were a great help setting up my membership. Overall 11/10 on customer service since they were so nice and patient.

As for the facility itself it is super nice and clean. I look forward to working out here.

I used to rate this 5/5 stars but I’m updating my review to 3/5. It’s very easy to keep the gym up to standard and I’m sad to see the downtown location drop. By no means is this location a bad gym. My 3/5 stars reflects a “just getting by” review. It’s decently clean, could be better. Free weights seem to be consistently out of place, which is frustrating from a customer perspective (with no signage to enforce). Lastly, since the remodel the men’s bathroom almost always has 1 stall out of order or the lock on one of the doors has fallen off (again). I know Planet Fitness can do better.

1. Convenience: Your gym needs to be as convenient for you to access as possible, especially at the beginning at your journey.
2. Access: Your gym needs to be open WHEN EVA' you NEED to go at the beginning of your journey; if you don't go when the "urge" is there, you won't work out. You have parking validation for the garage and metered parking but its worth it people.
3. Equipment: Your gym needs to have a large variety of equipment to workout on. People look down on those that use machines, but at the beginning of your journey, you can't workout without it. They are the "coaches" you need. Too bad the critics won't be around to see your transformation...
4. Physical resources: thanks for the drinks AND the frooties. I took two today because yesterday I was so tapped out, I could hardly walk to my car (oops). Only one was good enough for me today! LOL...5
5. Accessories! I love the gym bags, towels, etc., and especially the locks bec I have a tendency to forget mine..
6. The other amenities to discover. That is upcoming in my journey.AND LAST BUT DEFINATELY NOT LEAST: SCORE: AAA++++
7. Staff: very personable, will always say "hello" to you and "goodbye" to you when you leave. Acknowledging you when you come and go is VERY important, especially when you've had a so-so workout day. I appreciate their patience working with this 64yoa! We need to at least give them a smile when WE come and go too. They deserve it....One suggestion: MORE SPACE! More retirees like myself are getting on that good foot, LOL! But it's NO excuse not to exercise....come on down and enjoy the grimaces and grunts!
