Great gym. Just not sure if and when you all clean the showers?? Everytime I need to use one, there's hair n stuff in the drain, on the floor and walls. I could tell they hadn't been cleaned because I come to the gym every other day pretty much and I had to use the same shower. The same stains that were on the curtain were still there and there was hair in all of the drains. I had to grab some tissue and wipe a stall out myself. Either have them cleaned manually like everyday or use an automatic timed cleaner. If some of these gas stations can keep their showers clean, surely PF can. Gotta do better in that area. Also the music in the women's locker room seems to be louder than any other area the music plays. Sometimes the music is just trashy, loud heavy metal crap. Thank God for earbuds! Other than those things, great equipment, staff and atmosphere.

I have been going here for the past 4 years. They recently updated all their equipment and I find that some of the machines cannot be adjusted small enough for people 5'4 and under... Previously would have given it 5 stars

I've ben to planet fitness in Kenosha Milwaukee Madison Janesville and the one in Racine by far the best it's the biggest one and have machines no other planet fitness has and the only one I've seen with a relax pod six star rating probably the best planet fitness in wisconsin.

I like the club hours, atmosphere, and the equipment for the most part. My club just updated all their resistance machines, and included some previously unavailable equipment. I was hoping that in the last expansion that AT LEAST 4 more Smith machines would be added, but it didn't happen. Now, in August of 2025, they added 3 Smith machines for a total of 7, which was desperately needed. The day lockers have built-in locks, which I really appreciate. Most gyms you have to lug a padlock with you.

Remodel? Everyone keeps saying Racine Planet Fitness got a fresh remodel. They clearly didn’t remodel the Men’s Locker Room. Today 8-02-2025 the locker room looks the same as it did 5 years ago. No Hot water at all. Cold water coming out of the sinks. No water pressure in the sinks. Broken mirror light at the first sink. Old outdated crusty Ceiling mounted shower heads. Limescale buildup all over the faucets and shower heads. Everybody hates the Ceiling shower heads. Too high up in the air that it’s hard to shower and rinse your body. They need to switch to the Wall mounted shower heads like all the other Planet Fitness’s have instead. Not sure why the Men’s locker room still has the old outdated Brown dark color wall tiles. But yet the Women’s locker room has the new modern lighter color gray wall tiles instead. So clearly they decided to give more favoritism to the Women’s Locker Room instead of the Men’s.

It's usually pretty good, but in the Summer they allow high school kids to come in for free... civically that's nice, but it's not a great atmosphere with a bunch of teenagers standing around being "teenagers"...I hope they don't do this again next summer!! I've shifted my schedule to mornings more because of the influx of kids coming in the late afternoon and early evening.

last July while exercising at planet fitness, a self claimed ex convict, in his 50s punched a much older man over a dispute regarding use of gym equipment, I witnessed the older man attempt to explain his heart issues and fatigue to the culprit as to why he was sitting down on the bench he didn't know belonged to the ex convict, after the younger man shoved him, the elder man tried to push his hands down, and the culprit began swinging punches, the older man didn't fight back but tried to defend himself, as I witnessed the rising action down to the climax, I knew words weren't going to work, I tackled the younger man and restrained him of any further movement without excessive force, yelled at the employees to call the cops, who sadly took longer than needed to react, while this man was being held down through my “barbwire” technique, he continuously threatened to shoot me and listed his gang affiliations to get me to think twice about what I was doing, however I kept his arms restrained until the two police officers came and I gave my full statement. It saddened me as to how people watched an old man get beat up, and videotaped me. I was utterly disappointed by the employees' awfully slow reaction time, as to how it could have complicated things for the safety of the victim, the restrainer, and all the other members at planet fitness.

I made this my new location,tried for the first time, facility is clean- especially the bathroom and showers. I can appreciate that they don't have a scale in the ladies' locker room, as well as the no selfie zone! Quiet. Convenient. You get the worst customer service here. It seems that to be hired here, you must be a prerequisite for treating customers poorly, giving them dirty looks, and always having a bad attitude. I've been using this facility for a year and paying to be a black card holder, and when you ask to use the massage services, the staff gets upset and gives you a bad attitude. They have little to no empathy for the customer. They should be trained on how to treat customers.

Went to the gym today to find out the small lockers were out of order. I was told that the master key to open the lockers was not not working. It would have been nice if management had posted it on line so that we could have brought a lock for the locker in the bathroom. No one at the front desk even mentioned it when you checked in.

I erased my original comment due to its inaccuracy nearly in its entirety.
A few days ago, Monday the 3rd of Feb 2025, a young man that wore a head garment or wrap working at desk, was completely rude, spoke over me repeatedly, and when I responded with " sir I would appreciate if you would stop talking over me and listen to what I'm saying...the issue at hand would be completely be resolved." When he continued to talk over me, I advised him that I was calling corporate office and his response was" go ahead and call corporate, I don't care."
The issue at hand was simply a change in my insurance, old information needed to be deleted, restart as a " new" member. He proceeds to tell me that I need to call my insurance company, get a special code, and all this other stuff....but because he wasn't listening to me, he didn't know the information was right on my insurance app which I tried to present to him. There was an elderly gentleman right next to me for the same issue and something that could've been easily resolved for both of us, ended with the gentleman walking out and I had to go to management....today, Feb 5th, I went to corporate. Extremely disappointed and upset with the handling of this situation.

2 stars because the place is always clean ...other than that, I'm ready to change gyms.

Since the recent remodel, this Planet Fitness has become my go-to gym. The staff is consistently friendly and welcoming, and there are plenty of machines and equipment options to choose from. I’ve been a member since 2022, and I continue to enjoy working out here regularly.

I’m giving it a 9/10 because, on occasion, there are minor issues with the roof leaking, but that’s a rare occurrence and doesn’t detract much from the overall experience. The facility is clean, well-maintained, and efficiently managed by the staff. I’ve never had any issues with scanning in, and the process is always smooth.

If you're someone who prefers a less crowded environment, I recommend avoiding the peak hours between 5-7 PM. The gym tends to be much quieter earlier in the day or later in the evening.

As for the atmosphere, I’ve always found it friendly. People are generally polite and quick to help if you need to know whether a machine is in use or not.

Overall, it's a great gym with a welcoming vibe and excellent equipment.

I always enjoyed planet fitness and was a long time member. Several years..Sorry to say due to the actions of Lenny at the Racine location I was extremely off put. I was showing my soon to be wife the chair I said was kinda cool. There is enough anxiety with going to a gym, I finally had her there trying to talk her into becoming a member. Rather than asking if we need assistance the employee chose to start an argument in public with me. I'm sorry to say after all these years because of one employee you are loosing my membership and a referral. Customer service is everything and I hope you address it with your employees.

I've been coming to planet fitness in Wisconsin for over 10 years. I will never come to the racine location ever again! Boy has this place gone downhill. It's clean it's nice inside, but the staff not the smartest The area blows, and the parking lot is a dump.
One day I went tanning and the bed was never turned on? So I had to go back out and have her turn it on and then go in and take my clothes off again. So I called the manager and she said next time you just have to call us. Why should I have to go into a tanning bed and call you to turn it on? Thats all lol 🤷‍♀️
I cancelled my membership after going to the only other location. They didn't have the hybrid red light tanning. I use it for a skin condition. I don't need to go now. 🤷‍♀️

The Racine planet fitness is my preferred gym in the Kenosha Racine area. The newly remodeled gym offers a welcoming clean environment with plenty of workout equipment.
