I have a love/hate relationship with this gym.
Pros: The indoor current pool, pool, and hot tub. Variety of classes, and the facilty is overall pretty nice.
Cons: Evening class times are often during dinner time, unless you do spin. When your drive is 25 minutes and a class starts at 6, that means your leaving the house at 5:30, taking an hour long class then getting home at 7:30, which makes it really hard to get dinner done at a resonable hour for your family. It would be nice to see a more varied class scedule that offered a nice cardio, weight or a water class at the 4pm time ( Not just spin) frame. So first shifters could enjoy right after work and get home to get dinner done. THIS IS MY BIGGEST GRIPE as I am a class taker.
The Smoothie bar is never open in the morning. I don't understand this. If I come on a Saturday at 8 am, work out for an hour, generally, I am hungry and would do a shake or something at that time, even coffee would be lovely.
The womens locker room can be a desaster at times.
Paper towels overflowing in the garbage, wet towels just laying around. Also, it is often very fridged in the locker room.
Lap pool can be hard to use as there are also swim lessons happening. It would be nice if a schedule was posted in the pool area of all classes going on in there, I came to use the current pool and had to get out as there was a parent and baby class in the current pool. Then all the lap lanes were full and had lessons. I came to swim, and could not.
Towels: They are very small and scratcy and what ever they are washed with did give me some sort of skin allergey. I bring my own now and just use theirs as a floor towel after I shower.
There tends to be alot of teens/some adults just sitting on phones on the equipment and not using it. Would be nice if that was monitored more.
Cost: I find it pricey for the drive for me, I have a family membership, but can't add other family members that live in the same house even though I get up to 3 people on there. Wanted to add my sister besides my son and I, that was a no.
I do not think I will renew after my year of memebership unless they get a touch more flexbile with the family plan, as adding that third person would have made this more affordable.

From kids trying to steal my wifes purse to a Stranger coming up to me asking me if I need him to pray for me and if I belive in god . I no longer feel like I want to go to this club anymore . But they still want me to pay for it for another year . Customer service is a 0 out of 5 if it would be possible .

I finally decided to try out the free assessment the gym offers, and I’m glad I did. Ask for Jake; he’s super cool, very knowledgeable about each muscle group, and made everything easy to follow. He pushed me in the best way and worked me hard. Honestly one of the best workouts I’ve ever had. Definitely worth taking advantage of!

Customer service at this place is horrible. I have filled out the contact us form on my account web page many times an have rarely if ever gotten a response back. Once you sign that contract the fun and smiles are over. Go to the pool and get yelled at for playing with your son in the pool. Apparently picking your son up out of the water is a rule violation. Go use the weight machines and watch all the high school kids sit at the equipment on their phones scrolling Tik Tok. When you ask if you could use the machine after waiting for 25 minutes they will give you attitude and be belligerent. Put your son in the child care area and come back to him crying all alone in the corner, not sure how long he was doing that but it was quite disturbing. All of they other staff seem really annoyed to "help" when you have a question. Go to the outdoor pool in the summer and good luck finding a spot to put your things. If you do find a spot and use the pool you will be in a pool at max capacity. I get that there are times when it will be crowded, but my experience has been every time that place is at capacity. To conclude, READ the contract, you will not be able to get out of the contract for any reason whatsoever as so many other people have stated in their reviews. Additionally, why do they rely on such an iron clad contract? Because what they sell you to join is not what they deliver after that iron clad contract is signed.

We usually have no complaints but when we spend alot of money for tennis lessons and the girl at the desk said she couldn't help us find the right lesson to pay for, she basically said it is not their job to help us find it and to go back on line to get the code. We did go back and find it and thankfully the young man who was working actually helped us. What exactly are they doing at the help desk if they are unwilling to help, the girl has a nose ring and of course no name tag. The women who work there are not fit to be in that position, the men have always been helpful.

I signed up with their gym in February 2025. And was told when I signed up that there is a cancellation fee if I wanted to cancel of 150. After I lost my job and I tried to cancel the lady told me that she could pause my account for three months so I waited the three months and then I emailed back and I tried to cancel and she told me that I have to pay out the remainder of my contract that they only allow the cancellation fee of 150 if you become permanently disabled or moved 25 miles away from the gym. Never told me that pausing my account also extends my contract. Its not a win win here. Sign up for any other gym cause they dont help you out all they care about is money.

I’ve been staying at the nearby Holiday Inn Express and have visited the Princeton Club in New Berlin several times. The facility is clean, well-equipped, and has everything I need for a great workout. There was a little confusion initially around guest access, but the staff handled it with professionalism and a great attitude. Everyone has been friendly, helpful, and welcoming. I’ll definitely keep coming back when I’m in town.

Overall a very nice club. Is pretty pricey at easily over $100 / month for a family. One issue is they ant to nickel and dime you for replacement cards, etc. Pay $1600 for a years membership and you get zero free guest passes, etc.

Avoid This Gym – Unethical Membership Policies!
I was highly considering joining this gym for my own reasons, but after hearing about my sisters experience, I have decided against it.
I would give zero stars if I could. This gym refuses to honor her request. Despite providing proof of her relocation.
The lack of customer service and basic decency is appalling. They care more about locking people into contracts than actually helping their members. Which is in turn, turning another member away. It’s ridiculous that a business would rather force unwilling customers to pay than build goodwill.
If you’re thinking of joining, beware of their shady cancellation policies. They make it incredibly difficult to leave, even in legitimate situations like hers. Save yourself the headache and go to a gym that values its customers!
Edit to add 3 weeks after initial review: Management had reached out to her a female and a male, the female was of no assistance and was extremely rude and the male still was refusing to understand her relocation, I would strongly advise against this gym.

We are new to Princeton and are thoroughly satisfied with our experiences thus far.
The included childcare is an unassailable perk with our membership! My children enjoy the activities and the caregivers. I was hesitant as my children have never been away from me other than at school— but they did wonderful— which I believe shows the quality of care they receive!
The equipment is clean— as well as the locker rooms and walk/hallways. The staff is courteous and helpful. What more could you need?

I’ve been going to Princeton Club for years after switching from Anytime Fitness. Anytime Fitness was great, but it was too small and got crowded quickly, which meant waiting for equipment more often than I’d like. When they raised their rates, I felt like I was paying too much for what I was getting.
My family was also getting into fitness, so we decided to sign up for a family membership at Princeton Club. We ended up paying just a little more than what I was paying at Anytime Fitness, but with way more benefits—childcare, basketball, indoor and outdoor pools, sauna, steam room, hot tub, group classes, a much bigger workout space, and even tennis if that’s your thing. I believe they also offer massages as well.
This isn’t a knock on smaller gyms—if you’re just into lifting, they might be a better fit for you. But if you’re looking for a gym with more space, equipment, and amenities, Princeton Club is a solid choice.

I’m so disappointed. I called to cancel my family membership due to a move and because it’s 22miles from the gym we get to pay a $200 cancellation fee. I understand we signed an agreement but the circumstances of the move led us to cancelling. We were regular members since 2022. This commute would be 30+ minutes for us to get to the Princeton Club. It’s a great facility but not for a 30-40minutes commute. Strongly advise anyone looking to join a gym don’t pick them if you might move mid contract because no exceptions are allowed.

For the amount of money spent every month it is very dirty. Probably one of the dirtiest I have ever gone to. This is about my 10th time coming at night and every time it’s the same. Garbages overflowing, towels everywhere, gym equipment left out and never put away. I never see anyone cleaning in the evenings. Not sure if there just isn't a care to clean in the evenings or if there isn't enough staff. However with the amount of people who attend the gym between the hours of 8-10pm you would think there would be staff to support the large amount of guests in the evenings. Not thrilled and now locked into a 2 year contract.

I had a terrible experience at a beautiful gym that has nice equipment. Unfortunately, the employees were unprofessional. During my first visit, the girl at the front desk, who was wearing a pink hat, was disrespectful and rude. She screamed at me without giving me a chance to explain my situation. I politely asked her to look up my name in the system, but she refused to help.
I was understandably upset, especially after driving 40 minutes to get to the gym, only to be treated poorly. As I walked out, I said some unnecessary things, for which I apologize. However, one of the staff members chased me down and pushed me. Just to clarify, I’m 17 years old, and the man who confronted me looked to be in his 30s or 40s. Because of this experience, I won’t be coming back. Thank you.

Princeton Club offers an exceptional experience at a very reasonable fee, especially considering the wide range of amenities available. The indoor pool is a big hit with my kids—they absolutely love it! As for me, my personal favorite is the steam room. Although 100 degrees can feel a bit intense, I still make it a point to use it three times a week. The facilities are always clean, and the staff is friendly and attentive. With so much to offer, from fitness equipment to group classes, it’s easy to see why Princeton Club is the perfect choice for anyone looking to stay active and relaxed. I just wished the guest pass wasn't $20/day per guest. That's already a month's membership fee for some gyms.
We also rented the event room for my son's birthday, although the room was big and nice, the food choice was not good. Very plain pizza. Worse than Jack's pizza. No other variety. Not even fries. Decoration was mediocre and the rental fee was higher than other options. So I don't recommend the facility for group events. This is the reason for the 4 star and not 5. If they change this, I would give them a 5.

Princeton Club in New Berlin was an absolute lifesaver for my family after we moved to Milwaukee from Toronto. With cold winters, we needed a place to go, and Princeton Club quickly became that perfect spot. The 24/7 access was a huge convenience, but what really made a difference for us was the childcare service. From when my son was 18 months old until he turned 3.5, the childcare staff took wonderful care of him, allowing me to focus on my workouts without any worries. The personal trainers and staff were always friendly, helpful, and welcoming. The equipment was top-notch, and we also took private swimming lessons, which were fantastic for both me and my son.
Another highlight was their family change room, which I could use with my son. It was private, spacious, and so convenient. Unfortunately, I haven’t been able to find anything quite like it here in Toronto, and it made me even more grateful for the experience at Princeton Club. Both the men’s and women’s change rooms were also excellent.
Lastly, their outdoor pool during the summer was a huge hit for us. My son and I had such a great time swimming, enjoying the nice weather, and playing with the water fountains. It truly was the perfect place for both fitness and family fun!

Came in with my buddy he forgot his card tried to sign him up for a guest pass cause there was no employee at the counter and I'm a member and at other gyms I've been members at they've made bringing a guest in easy. they walked over and asked if we needed help ,I stated what we were trying to do and they explained it's written in small print on the wall it can only happen within certain hours of the day. My friend and I explained that my friend was in fact already a member and just needed an account search. Then they got to me. Now I had already scanned in and also previously stated to them that I was a member but one thing goes in Bernadettes ear and out the other I fear and she asks me if I'm a member I stated I had already scanned in and she then checked her screen saw a photo of me then proceeded to ask me if that's me I asked her what she thinks as It could have been nobody else and the strange man in the photo looks identical to me. This was a challenge for her ears as she asked if I was giving her an attitude. I am just trying to work out she could've helped my friend at this point but instead accuses my photo of being not being me decides to make me run to my car and grab my ID wich is an older photo then the one on my Princeton account by far "that didn't look like me". Another problem is just 2 is months ago I scanned in trying to lift and they made me delay my lift for that photo to then delay me again cause it's invalid? I find this kind of behavior to be petty and childish for a business and will definitely be looking in to canceling.will not be paying 80 bucks a month to be disrespected and delayed.

Pros:
Good variety of equipment.
Locker rooms are always clean.
Lockers are always available and pretty big.
Lots of cardio equipment.
Plenty of clean spacious showers.
Cons:
They do not charge you on the same day every month. They have some weird policy where they can charge your card anywhere from the 1st to the 15th. Lot’s of stupid policies that don’t make sense.
If you aren’t a fan of children this isn’t the place for you. The children who have adults chaperoning are fine but too many kids walking around due to the basketball courts. Those courts are a nuisance.
Their policies cater to kids and families. Families have their own locker room yet they have a policy saying you can’t use your phone in the main locker room for any reason (increasing the volume, switching songs, etc). The reasoning provided was to prevent people from taking pictures and because children walk through. Other people’s children become your burden.
There is one particular staff member, she is literally the only one, that is extremely rude. She speaks to people in a very condescending tone. She has short curly hair and performs the janitorial duties there. She is passively rude for absolutely no reason then attempts to play hurt as if you’ve done something to her. Aside from her I notice there are a decent amount of antagonizers here. These are people who do small things to get a response. I was showering and a guy pulled on the bathroom door twice after I yelled I was in there. Locked door means taken dude. When I walked out he was just sitting there, even though there were open bathrooms available like he had to use the one I was in. Weirdos is the best way I can describe them.
The free weight area is smaller than it should be to accommodate the basketball courts. It quickly gets busy and you feel like you’re constantly running into people.
People are very unsanitary. I have seen countless people every time I go use machines and not wipe them down. One person did this today. Got up from a leg machine and just walked away. When they walked past the body odor was…. gross. Absolutely gross. I’ve gotten sick twice since being a member. Wipe before and after use. Disinfect your phone too.

We recently joined due to proximity and amenities with regards to the aquatics. We have been in a few times and had good experiences. The kids enjoy the pool area. Have not used any equipment, childcare, etc as of yet so can’t speak to that.
A few reasons for deducting a star:
1. Their guest policy needs to be overhauled. Requiring a minimum 4 hr advance notice for a guest, plus $20 and the fact if you leave you can’t come back again same day is well, dare I say, ridiculous. For instance, if we bring a guest to swim with us and leave for nap (which is when the childcare is closed, that I do know) we can come back after nap as members but our guest can’t because their pass is no longer valid. For the high cost of the pass it should be valid the whole day without restrictions or requiring reservations.
2. They staff lifeguards in the pool area. The rule there is you must be within arms reach of your child who is younger than 5. Okay…that means I have to follow the child everywhere. Of course I watch my kids and appreciate it from a safety standpoint but if I am sitting down in the shallow water with my youngest and my middle child wants to go on the slide 4 feet away from me yet I can still see/hear said child that should be acceptable. I’m still right there! It’s not as if I’m dumping them off on the guards and going up for a cocktail.
Overall I am happy we are members but they are more strict than I care for and have some rules/policies that are quite restrictive considering the amount we pay to be a member.
We are excited to try the outdoor pool this summer.

I love going to the Princeton club. I’ve been going to this gym since 2019 and I don’t see myself changing memberships. Me and my brothers always come here for a good lift or even a fun basketball run with all the boys. The pool is super nice in the summer time and even if you don’t want to swim you can lay by the pool and get a nice tan. The staff is super friendly and easy to work with. If you ever need anything the staff is always willing to help out no matter what your needs are. At most gyms I feel like the staff is always so uptight and never easy to talk to but not at the Princeton club. Also the basketball courts are nice and always taken care of. Unlike other gyms the Princeton club actually takes the time to make sure the courts are not slippery and always a nice place to hoop at. They included also a newer area to lift weights which was a huge addition to the gym. They added newer dumbbells, benches, cables, and squat racks.

The Princeton Club is beautiful! The Princeton Club New Berlin opened in 2002 and was originally called Motion Fitness Racquet Club. Retired tired Green Bay Packer star Donald Driver visited here years ago for a special event. Please be sure to ask about possible discounts. It is an excellent deal and there is a wide variety of activities for everyone. The basketball and tennis courts are awesome. There is both an outdoor pool and an indoor pool along with water slides. There is a great track for running and walking. There is an excellent section of weight and exercise machines. In addition, there is a nice restaurant and gift shop too. The Princeton club has several locations in Madison and has won multiple awards. When I visit Wisconsin, I look forward to a guess pass here. The Princeton Club is my favorite work-out facility!

The facility looks quite nice, what I saw of it. I visited with the intent to explore their personal training and also learn what programs might be offered for our employees. I wasn't made to feel welcome, and the tour amounted to standing at the balcony for a few minutes looking at the free weight area. I asked for some documentation regarding membership and pricing. This was jotted on the back of a business card.

Worst gym I can think of in the area. I signed up, and now I regret doing so. It is overly packed anytime you go. It reeks of marijuana every where you go. There is nothing nice to say and GUESS WHAT! I’m locked into a 2 year membership contract that can’t be broken unless I move out of state! GARBAGE ESTABLISHMENT

As much as I'd love to give a solid 5 stars for general cleanliness and staff friendliness, there is a certain lack of accountability for the members that makes coming here a chore.
- I love using the track, especially when it's really cold and icy outside or super humid and hot - it's not enjoyable when there are groups of 3-5 people clogging it up and getting fussy when I (by myself) have the audacity to go for more than a leisurely stroll. I shouldn't have to shoulder-check meemaw and the other golden girls to get a decent a run in that isn't a on a treadmill.
- Some members just leave their mess around for others to deal with. Some leave puddles of sweat on the machines and don't wipe them off.
- During the summer, unattended kids (younger than 13), are just... wandering around? Nothing is more off-putting than some random kid to be staring at me while I try to exercise.

I called in and asked if the membership people were in so I can sign up. The girl on the phone was like “yeah come on down!”Came in 10 minutes later to make a membership. Lady at the desk says it’s going to be over an hour to get me in. I ask if I can workout while i wait since they have my contact info? “No you can’t”. Can I work out as a guest with my buddy (who was right next to me). “No you still need to see member services to get a guest pass (they charge you too). There were two girls ahead of me who wanted guest passes and it took like 2 minutes to get done. Why couldn’t they get me in for two minutes to get a guest pass instead of making me wait for the two other families ahead of me to talk and do the tour and stuff. Kudos for wasting peoples time Princeton.

I visited the Princeton Club with friends this past weekend (September 23, 2023). I was swimming in the kids pool with my two kids (7 and 9, good swimmers). I like to wear goggles underwater and I saw two brown clumps floating along the pool floor. I got closer until I confirmed it was definitely poop, and little bits of it were breaking off and floating away. I immediately told the closest lifeguard who didn’t know what to do about it. I left that pool with my kids and we swam in the lap pool for a while. I assumed they removed the poop. The kids wanted to go down the slide again, and although I wasn’t thrilled about them being in the water where the poop had been, I didn’t want to upset them either. Also I figured chlorine was pretty strong, based on how my eyes were burning. So we went down the slide and while I was underwater I saw the poop again. Jesus, take the wheel. I got my kids out immediately and we headed out to shower. On my way out, I stopped by the supervisors office where one guy was just kicking back listening to his headphones, and told them that the poop was still in the pool. One dude tried to say that I must be confused, it’s just rust. I told him that I’m a biologist and I know poop from rust (it’s true; I literally studied poop for my masters). He then acted like I was just a huge Karen for making him do his job. I had been considering joining the club before this interaction; we live nearby and my family loves swimming. Not after how cavalier the staff is about a biological threat to the health of their guests. Disgusting.

This gym fails at inspiring and supporting teens in the beginning stage of a healthy active lifestyle. After years of encouraging, my kids are finally showing interest in exercising and they feel discouraged when coming to this gym. The rules are always changing depending on which staff you speak to and with the exception of a couple at the front desk, I don’t see staff making any attempt in engagement and making them feel welcomed. A simple smile or acknowledge to young adults or anyone for that matter goes a long way. It’s not common sense that these teens in the gym are your future members and my teens have already expressed no desire in continuing their membership.
When or if they can utilize the kids area gym changes, when or if they can utilize the outdoor tennis area changes. They were watched by staff when using the basketball court. If the basketball court is to only be utilized for basketball only, then make that clear and that rule should apply to all including those that use it for classes.
