I have been a member of Pure Barre Appleton since it opened. It is the one exercise class that I have stuck with. I love the community and the fun challenges that keep me going when I might not want to. The teachers are amazing and supportive. Absolutely love Pure Barre Appleton! The staff and instructors are so welcoming and helpful! Love that the classes are adjustable to your fitness level. Friendly, fun, encouraging. I love the personal touches, the welcoming atmosphere and the quality of the classes. I've been trying to find my space in the workout community and this fits my schedule, as a busy mom of 2 active kiddos. The different formats allow for variety and challenge. The ability to modify movements as needed for injuries and abilities is great. The teachers are approachable and personable. Classes are fun, challenging and motivating. I love PBA.

I’ve been a member at Pure Barre Appleton for just over two years. I love the versatility each day brings at the studio. Each class type offers something different for strength and mobility. There are always options to level up or modify and instructors encourage both equally. In the last year especially as I’ve pursued additional fitness goals, the flexibility and versatility of pure barre has been an integral component to my cross-training. The focus on low impact, high outcome movements is the perfect balance while working toward more high impact endurance goals. Everyday, I can show up with what I have to offer without judgement and that has given me the confidence to pursue other goals in tandem with pure barre. As a bonus, the community and culture at Pure Barre Appleton feed my spirit and emotional health. Every single day I’m in class, the focus is on meeting yourself where you are today and focusing on how barre serves you in mind, body, and spirit. Pure Barre truly has changed my perspective and focus on movement and exercise.

I have been going here for a little over a year. I started PB as a cross training opportunity to supplement my running. Shortly after joining, I became pregnant but was happy to learn that this low impact style was easily modifiable for pregnancy.
This is one of the biggest pluses of PB- it can accommodate many types of fitness levels. You could be pregnant, overweight, recovering from injury or even in the best shape of your life and you could still benefit from this workout. Everyone is in a different place in their fitness/wellness journey and it’s nice to have access to such an adaptable routine. Additionally, they offer multiple class formats so you can get exactly what you need while keeping your workout routine fresh.
Regarding the studio in Appleton, I have to echo the other comments in that it’s a really welcoming community. The instructors are very friendly and knowledgeable but also have their own unique teaching styles. They do a great job of providing individual feedback and corrections without drawing attention that could be potentially embarrassing for some (for example, they will turn off their mic so only you hear the feedback). I think this is really great, especially for those new to a gym environment. As someone who has gone to many types of gyms, I know that some can be intimidating which hinders progress and can make some people not want to go. PBA is not like that at all— everyone is welcome, encouraged and celebrated.
The front desk staff is friendly and great at answering questions (I like that I can text the desk in case I think of something I forgot to ask). The boutique is super cute and fairly priced. The inventory changes frequently so there are always options for new gear.
Lastly, and most importantly, the community here is awesome. I can tell the owner has put a significant amount of time and energy in creating a positive culture. It is so easy for gym environments to get toxic so it’s a testament to the owner and the teams’ dedication that they’ve been able to create and maintain such a positive atmosphere. If you want to make an investment in your health (both physical and mental) I’d highly recommend checking PBA out!

This is the review you need to read if you are thinking about Pure Barre:
I started with 8 classes a month, but quickly switched to unlimited with a promotion they had in January.
I am now just over 3 months in, going 3-4 times a week and am the strongest I've ever been in my life. I took kickboxing in college, have been a runner for over 10 years, but these classes are what I've always wanted to be STRONG and HEALTHY. I can't believe the strong things I am now able to do in classes after just 3 months.
Yes. It is expensive, especially the unlimited. You need to be serious about wanting to be in shape if you sign up. The classes are hard, but DO NOT give up. They get easier, and you can always go easier on yourself til you build up the muscles and stamina.
I thought for weeks about calling out my favorite instructors, but it's just TOO HARD. I refuse to name names and leave anyone out. You are ALL so wonderful, energetic, supportive, and positive about doing all you can in each class. You work to learn everyone's name, and gently help us when we need it. You all celebrate each milestone we have genuinely, and it is what makes this membership worth every penny to me.
The Align class and intro classes are the perfect way to get started...but don't be discouraged! Keep going! There is no easy button for getting stronger and keeping your body healthy so we are able to do all the fun things for years to come. The Define class is geared toward strength, and you are able to choose your lighter/heavier weights. Empower is perfect for strength with more cardio, and you can start without the weights as a beginner. The Classic Barre is the perfect beginning and ending to a good variety of classes with strength building (even for my bad knees!) This place is so good for our injuries!
They have early 5 and 6am classes for those who need to shower and go to the office, 8 or 9am classes (for those who sleep in or like me work remote and just take my lunch extra early/flex), afternoon classes, and weekend classes. I love how easy it is to just pop in and out for a class in our busy life (classes are typically 50 mins).
They have an app so I can sign up for classes ahead of time (which also pushes me to GO). You DO get charged if you cancel late or miss a class. They are very transparent on cancellation overall, so make sure you understand. It's a commitment because the first few months are hard, and you've gotta stick with it! You can do it!!! You can buy studio socks right next door if you don't want to buy them at PB, so if you're out of excuses, want to truly get in shape, and commit to health and strength of your body..this place is WONDERFUL!! ❤️❤️

Pure Barre has welcomed me with a positive, respectful, and encouraging environment. The atmosphere is supportive-not overly intense.
The instructors are highly knowledgeable. They create a space where you feel motivated and challenged, but never overwhelmed.
Beyond the workout itself, the boutique area is a standout!
The staff is always friendly, and there's a great selection of cute, high-quality apparel and accessories to choose from.
It's a nice bonus to be able to shop before or after class.

STAY AWAY! As you will see in previous reviews they will bombard and trap you. I took 3 classes then requested cancellation. I filled out the cancellation form pdf and then they billed me two more times so far. STAY AWAY. Worse first impression of pure barre and will be contacting BBB.

Here's the thing about this place...you go to a free class to try it out and they bombard you with emails about joining and your goals, etc., etc., After you sign up...oh we forgot to tell you that you must wear these $18 grippy socks in class. Also, if you r late, which happens, you're not let into class and charged anyway. Also. U cannot sign up for 1 month. Theres a 3 month minimum. If your interested in barre classes, watch videos on utube. Dont get sucked into this place. Their prices are exorbitant, the music they play is that loud annoying club dance music and the headset the instructor wears--- you can't understand a word shes saying. Save your money, stay away from specialty gyms.

Pure Barre Appleton is a fantastic total-body workout, but more importantly, an absolutely wonderful community. Andréa, the PBA teachers, and barre-tenders have created a community that is inclusive and community-minded. I would highly recommend Pure Barre - Appleton to anyone looking for a strong community and fulfilling workout! I am someone who thoroughly enjoys group settings and I often struggle with motivating myself to go to a gym when I'm the only one holding myself accountable. I love the atmosphere of the studio and the energy and friendliness of the staff! It feels very special to walk into a place and be greeted by your name and to be surrounded by a supportive community. When I am at the studio, I know that I have 50 minutes to switch my focus to myself and whatever I need that day. I always leave feeling accomplished and motivated to take on the rest of my day.

I joined PBA 2 months ago and I have absolutely loved my experience so far! It is such a great community and everyone is so friendly and welcoming. I really wanted to love this studio, as I love Pure Barre and was so excited to have a location in the Fox Valley. However, it is a very cliquey and exclusive atmosphere. I felt unwelcome at their very first grand opening event but thought I would give it another try now that the covid situation has improved. Signed up for an early morning class, received a phone call shortly after signing up from the owner questioning me about my past experience as a fitness instructor to make sure to protect their barre content. While I understand the need to do that, I don’t think the owner understands that people have access to a million different fitness options, including barre. Pure Barre is no longer the only one in the game. I’m not going to pay $25 for a 50 min class when I don’t absolutely love the environment of the studio. I will stick to my other online streaming options.

I couldn’t wait for it to come to Appleton. I visited the location in Green Bay last summer. I noticed how happy people were that were entering now I know why! I love how I feel after this class it’s so doable and leans out your body. I can already feel my core feel stronger and toned after 1 week In. Instructors are so amazing and helpful. In the past I did more bootcamp style, I don’t really want all that jarring on my body anymore and I’m loving this type of workout! .Go Google some before and afters you will see. I want Long and Lean and this is the perfect workout for that.
