I love The Moving Galaxy. Climb the stairs to the 2nd floor and you'll find a thoughtful, beautiful space to focus on your mind and body. The 2 studios are lovely- soft lighting, natural light thru the windows, colorful walls, clean, and stocked with blocks, bolsters, blankets, and other misc props. There's tea and couches in the main lounge area, and tables with books to browse. The teachers I've had so far have been wonderful- well educated, informative, helpful, kind. The atmosphere is welcoming, and non-judgmental. A wide variety of classes offered. Accomodations for poses and asanas are not only made, but encouraged for people who need them. Bathrooms and changing areas are clean and there are lockers with locks for your valuable items if needed.

You don't often seen a 5.0 average on google for a business, but that is exactly what Anna, her studio ,and team deserve. I've been with Moving Galaxy since the beginning and cannot recommend it highly enough.

Moving Galaxy has become my favorite yoga studio in SE Wisconsin. The vibes and decor are immaculate and it feels like a real community here. I love that the studio is locally owned by a Milwaukeean and seasoned yogi (Anna). Anna is intentional about hiring and providing ongoing mentoring to her teachers, and that seeps through in all the classes and workshops. The regular class schedule and workshop offerings are diverse and plentiful. One of my favorite things about this studio is they incorporate a monthly β€œtheme” that teachers often speak about and weave into their classes - it is a great way to share and bring life to yoga philosophy and concepts. For example last month was β€œprana” (life force).

🌟🌟🌟🌟🌟 Absolutely Stellar Yoga Experience

Moving Galaxy Yoga Studio is truly a sanctuary for the mind, body, and spirit. From the moment you step in, the calming ambiance and welcoming energy envelop you. The space is clean, beautifully decorated, and thoughtfully designed for comfort and focus.

The instructors are incredibly knowledgeable and supportive, offering modifications for all levels while encouraging you to challenge yourself. What sets this studio apart is the genuine sense of community they cultivateβ€”there’s a warmth and inclusivity that makes everyone feel at home.

The class variety is impressive, with everything from gentle flows to more dynamic practices like Animal Flow, which incorporates primal movement patterns that build strength and flexibility. Whether you’re a beginner or a seasoned yogi, you’ll find a class that speaks to your energy and goals.

And there’s always tea! Nothing beats wrapping up a session with a warm, soothing cup, enhancing the studio’s nurturing atmosphere.

I also love their mindfulness elements, including sound baths and meditation sessions, which leave you feeling grounded and rejuvenated.

If you’re looking for a yoga studio that goes beyond just physical practice and embraces holistic well-being, Moving Galaxy Yoga Studio is a cosmic gem. Highly recommend!

The Moving Galaxy is a very special space. Anna’s galaxy flow is beyond words out of this world (so many space puns πŸ€“) I recommend this studio to every single person. You will feel supported here, cared for, and safe. They also offer community classes if yoga feels outside of your budget right now.

I love it here. Definitely one of my favorite hidden gems in Milwaukee.

The instructor we had last night is in tune with what yoga is about - kindness to one's own body and others'. She led us in truly restorative poses that opened and healed. My husband is older, with some mobility challenges, and she helped him modify and move. The other attendees were welcoming as well. I had been feeling run down from overworking and travel, and I felt 100% better after this class.

This is one of my favorite studios. You want strength training? You want to practice headstands? You like great music? CHECK. There is also a free movement class where the owner, Anna sings chants and plays the harmonium. The rest time evolves into the class singing contemporary songs together. The final chants are done "in a round," making it possible to feel the vibrations from the surrounding chants. Visit The Moving Galaxy and CHOOSE YOUR ADVENTURE!

I love this studio. I have known many of the teachers for a few years through other studios. I love 4:30 classes, it fits my schedule well and these ones are mostly $10. I am trying to push myself outside of comfort zone and trying some of the different classes that are offered here such as animal flow and OMG. My favorite will probably always be Galaxy Flow. So many great reasons to check this out. There is tea and cookies if looking for another reason!

Finding a yoga community when moving to a new city is a priority in my life. I found myself sincerely frustrated here as I'm "fine" with a mac n' cheese kind of comfy vinyasa practice-- but wanted more. I wanted to find a teacher I felt safe pushing myself with and a place where I could hang out and meet people and feel like I was a part of something.

When a friend shared with us that their yoga instructor was opening up a space, I was a skeptic. I mean... there was a lot of pink happening and I was suspicious ;) That was in November of 2022 and after getting a class pass and trying on nearly all the teachers and classes, I was smitten.

Moving Galaxy has created a home for me in a city that felt like a stranger. I am now involved in the work exchange, I host my Reiki training retreats in the space and see clients there. I participate in all the classes available there and am grateful for the sangha -- fierce companions-- I have found in the space. The owner is so genuine, her enthusiasm and sincerity about teaching the wisdom of yoga, including the meditation, the poetry of the sutras, her beautiful voice on the harmonium, and evolving asana practice keeps me there, smiling, laughing, and, on occasion, crying because I am safe to unfold there. This month's theme for the studio is "Gratitude" and I am so deeply grateful that I was connected with Moving Galaxy.

Great studio! The teachers focus on much more than just the physical aspects of yoga, which is hard to find in Milwaukee. The classes are taught at all levels, so people looking for more challenge are satisfied while beginners or folks who want to take it easy still have lots of options. Definitely my favorite yoga studio in town!

It's an absolute delight anytime I get the opportunity to be in this space. Whether it's just for a visit or your home yoga studio this space, the teachers and the labor of the intention is felt in every interaction that happens within this space. Highly recommend for neurodivergant folks too because of the focus on consent (they have consent card you van put near your mat) and for the teachers in this space that believe in expression and guidance over perfection. Plusss they have cookies and tea ready before class which is the coziest thing ever.

Really enjoying the $10 "happy hour" yoga classes! My friends invited me to join after hearing about my back pain, plus I just needed a better way to relax. I've never been to a formal yoga class, so I was nervous about joining for a group, but everyone has been so welcoming and encouraging. The $10 4:30 classes are also a great way to explore your options while getting started. Be sure to check them out!

This place is seriously the best yoga studio in Milwaukee. Each teacher has their own style, but they all follow a formula with a specific goal: Make yoga and mindful movement accessible to every body. There's no competition or pretention like you sometimes find in other studios, gyms or workout spaces. It's just a comfortable, friendly, cozy space unlike any other studio I've been to. Definitely worth a visit.

The Moving Galaxy is a dreamy new movement studio wrapped up with powerful yoga, warm tea, and the kindest humans. After class I left feeling grounded and full of love to share and pass on. The Moving Galaxy is the yoga studio addition that Milwaukee needed. Dream team of teachers that create sequences that are challenging for advanced students but are still very accessible for those who may have limitations or are newer to yoga. Anna (owner/teacher) has inspired the teaching of many amazing yoga instructors, many of which teach at the studio. One thing I will say is that Anna’s instruction sets a strong foundation yet provides teachers and students the space to evolve their practice into something totally personal and unique. The studio keeps its roots in yoga philosophy yet embraces change and healthy, sustainable movement.
