The WAFC serves so many people well -- students, swimming teams, families, working people, and seniors. The pools are a real gem for Whitewater and provides opportunity for people of all ages, sizes, and abilities to move their body. Many people use the current channel for a low impact cardio fitness. It's a great way to do something rehab or prehab if you weight bearing is a problem.

The weight room has a number of machines as well as free weights. Increasingly, people are going into the studio when it's not in use to use its bars, kettlebells, dumbbells, foam rollers, and balls for various calisthetics and functional fitness exercise.

The people are the strength here. The instructors for classes are helpful and fun. Water Warriors, a deep-water aerobics class, is enjoyable and welcoming to people at all fitness levels. I've gained a lot from it! And my personal training has helped me improve my fitness level.

If you don't want to commit to a membership (although there are multiple, flexible options), try a class or get a day pass.

We would have had a good experience but unfortunately one of the members of our group overheard two employees talking crap about all of us. Super unprofessional. Told someone at the desk and it was not escalated. I don't think they even so much as apologized. It sucks to pay to go somewhere to then be made to feel unwelcome.

Love this aquatic center! Our personal favorite is the little lazy river! It’s so relaxing! They supply tubes to ride in and even have ones with a bottom piece for infants to sit in. Their children’s area is so fun for the kids, lots to do. Clean restrooms/changing rooms. I love that they have a family changing room with several single bathrooms!

Today was the first time I took my children to the aquatic center. I had been there as a child and wanted my children to experience it and have a good time, but unfortunately we ended up having a bad experience due to an employees rude and inappropriate behavior. Brenda Schumacher was extremely rude and even laughed at me when I told her that I will not let her speak to me in the way that she was speaking to me. This women is obviously incapable of having an adult conversation without having an attitude. What started as a question turned into an employee bullying a customer. This was the first and LAST time that I will be taking my children here. Shame on them for treating people the way they do and acting as though it is ok. The way she was acting was as if the employees are allowed to treat customers in a poor manner, which is the very reason we won’t be back. I refuse to spend my money at a place that doesn’t know how to treat people with respect.

Speaking only for the Pool area. This is a great location to beat cabin fever. My 6 and 4 year old can't get enough and beg me to go every weekend.
The leisure pool is well staffed with lifeguards, who help maintain a fun, but more importantly, safe environment. I recommend the Family Locker Room for families with small children. Lockers are BYO lock.
Life vests are provided on the leisure pool deck in addition to pool noodles and kick boards. There is also a reasonably priced snack bar for when you or kiddos get peck-ish.
Lockers and deck chairs fill up quickly, so planning to arrive shortly after the pool opens will work in your favor.
Cost is $10/person for non- residents or $8/person for Whitewater residents. There are no discounts for young children or seniors.

Kids love it, nice place. however the hours is another thing… they don’t open until 330 on some days for open swim, and we have a family pass. always call ahead of time due to the hours. Tonight isn’t open until 630pm. At that time we are getting settled in for the night so not able to come, and have to find somewhere else to swim.

Nice small water area for kids. We went for the first time to check it out to reserve for a upcoming birthday party. The pool was a bit cold still but nice place will enjoy again. But there meeting room was much smaller then expected maybe 25 to 30 adults max and then kids it varies on age they said 40 would fit. Very tight and people standing!!

Kindof small but nice facility. They have ahot tub that is supposed to be for older kids and adults but people had their young children in there and no one said anything to them. Kids enjoyed the splash pad and the slide very much. Free locker room and private shower rooms are a definite bonus. Family locker rooms and showers make it possible for Mom and Dad to help the kids without a hassle. Make sure you bring a lock for your locker.

Nice place, but in trying to save money the aquatic center board forgot to pay attention in economics 101 class. The law of supply and demand, if you lower your price, you’ll sell more. Since you’re paying for employees and utilities anyway, why not get more paying customers, lower your prices to $3 a visit, $100 yearly single memberships, $150 couple, and $200 a family of four, similar to Janesville), make the locals happy by accepting silver sneakers. Become a community go to place for the average person.

One of the few places to take kids in the winter but ... life guards could be a little more kid friendly they always seem to have it out for the kids and blow the whistle for ridiculous reasons. I got yelled at because I was walking with a tube my 2yr old nephew was in through the lazy river (something everyone does) and another mom was going the same thing with her child much younger than my nephew when the life guard kept talking to her and told me I couldn't do it??? I of course said then why does she get to? This life guard name I did not catch I just took my nephew to a different area. This was April 14 we have not been back since. Which is sad because our entire family enjoys swimming.

Get fit. Get wet. Pedal hard! Get steps. And sweat! Pump iron. Feed heart race! You bet!

Get stronger muscles & bones, faster nerves, toned, better balance, better moves. Get abs. Get into speedo & bikini shape, or both! Try being a tri-athlete! Or just into better shape than now. Set a doable goal--I shoot for a little less embarrassing than last month. Massage options too. Few communities have such a well equipped facility and service and all so affordable.

Step inside & you will see you won't have many excuses for not doing something here--so many options, individual and group, many fun, and there are people who can assist, and new friends to make. Many learning programs too.

Go alone, with friends, or frenemies who "benefit" from your competitive urging, siblings, cousins, neighbors, or with your invisible friends...limit to 3 of those please. Use it as an excuse to buy snazzy new sports shoes & gear...just don"t overdo the spandex or hair gel.

Of course Ok to bring your service unicorn along--who FYI loves zumba, jazzercize, leg lifts, yoga, playing cards while snacking, and the whirlpool--where they may "nag" you relentlessly, unless you sing broadway songs to them, which I do--to keep them quieter. But you will have to share with those who forgot their unicorns. It may seem obvious, but keep your gnomes, trolls and gremlins, and other magical beasts at home. Even your very docile dragon whose wings might fan you if hot.

Did I mention it stimulates your imagination and fantasies? You will sleep better, dream better and flirt better. Yeah, go for it. You won't regret it. Much. Just be safe & reasonable, with doctor or wizard's permission as needed. Lots of hours open, so you can probably avoid me if I sound too weird, or join me singing a few show tune duets to unicorns--an excellent way to cool down & relax after making it through the gym machine circuit or swimming that 1/2 mile, uphill, against the current and winds of course. Conquer you mind, body and a few imaginary dragons! And then you can look as good as me! Or better, more likely.

My daughter had her son a pool party there. The pool area is fun and the pizza was good. However some of the front desk staff was not so friendly. I purchased some items and placed the money in the young male's hand and he sat my change on the counter and the other young guy threw my food on the counter. I said thank you and the both walked away. My daughter paid for a party for her son. My daughter and my son both are graduates of The University of Whitewater and they are perusing their Master's now, and have lived there for the past seven years with their families. And for us to be treated rudely by some of the staff was hurtful. However their was on life guard who was very friendly and nice and talked with my husband. It is good to know that one person can make difference. The place is beautiful and it was very fun for my family over all.
