When I cancelled I was also informed they had a 30 day notice policy and I had to pay through January 29th, despite cancelling December 1st. They misrepresent price, and have hidden rules.

Highly do not recommend. Paid for training sessions most I never received or constant rescheduling, or you would only get 1training sessions weekly for 30 minutes, rush you to get to their next training client, still charged $110. Overly packed during the week days especially on Wednesdays. Not enough space to do my hit workouts. They do not care about the customers, only money. I Just canceled my membership. Been going there for almost a year, will not be returning.

Poor experience. Active Duty Military here for several months in Montgomery. I was looking forward to checking out Amped as it was highly reviewed. I utilized 3-day trial offer on the front of their site to check out the gym. Received confirmation, traveled to the location and was immediately turned away by the front desk since I had an out of state license as a military, despite being a resident.

Poor situation and policy for military. Instead the option is to pay $10 per day for each of the 3 “free” days.

I travel a lot and hit gyms all over the country, and I consider Amped Fitness to be a postive experience. The vibe here is nice, tons of energy, great music, and people who actually push themselves. Not gonna lie, it’s a little intimidating at first because a majority of people here are serious lifters. A lot of beautiful people with impressive physiques. But once you settle in, it’s a very friendly and welcoming community.

The staff’s great, always willing to help, and there’s so much potential for this gym to keep growing. I saw the previous negative reviews on the staff and no one greeting you as you check in. But that has not been the case for the past few weeks I have consistently been here.

Amped (moreso the community) gave me the motivation I needed to jump back into bodybuilding after mostly doing CrossFit and functional fitness related workouts. Recommend checking this place out if you're in the area.

The overall aesthetic of the gym is bright and lively. As far as equipment, there is mostly everything you need regardless of the type of workouts that you’re looking for. The front desk is very friendly and never fails to greet me upon entry and exit. Certain times of the day can be pretty crowded especially in the summer time, however if you have a flexible schedule you can find a less busy time if that’s your preferred option. In addition, when equipment is down for maintenance it’s usually back up and running within a couple of weeks.

Very disappointed. My wallet was stolen out of my gym bag and when trying to see what could be done, I found out they don't have an incident reporting system. They can monitor and send you an immediately if you don't put weights back or someone tailgates but no way to report your wallet has been stolen nor did they act as if they were concerned.

The establishment itself is nice but what I do not like about this gym is that the trainer there takes up 3 machines at a time on his personal workouts. He rudely explained that it’s perfectly fine to occupy more than one machine according to the gym rules that technically don’t exist. When I asked the front desk staff where I could read up on said rules; well as I stated they’re non existent.

Forgot my headphones there. Called the front desk and they confirmed they had them and would hold them for me. Then they were suddenly gone. It is what it is but the way the manager handled it was so rude and dismissive.

Edit: I made this review mostly because of the way the associate manager was speaking to me because it was extremely unprofessional. Along with the voicemail I just received from the general manager for leaving this review. They told me they had belonged to someone else who picked them up. Is that true? Who knows, at the end of the day it’s my fault for leaving them there. I was more so upset at the employee for how he handled it rather than the headphones going missing. And after the VM I received today, clearly upper management is not very professional here either.

Do not join here. They will force you to send a certified mail to cancel. If you don't, and just ask them to cancel on the phone, like me, they will have a debt collection agency call you with a $200 debt. They never clean the bathrooms, and the locker rooms smell horrible. The exercise equipment is just gross all the time. Go somewhere that treats you like a human.

Do not sign a contract with this gym! They will stack them overcharging you and continue to charge you after the contract is complete! My experience with Amped Fitness has been a complete nightmare, marked by mismanagement, unfulfilled promises, and relentless harassment by their collections agency, Aldous and Associates.

I initially signed two contracts with Amped Fitness: one for personal training services and another for a monthly membership. Despite paying in full for the personal training contract, the services provided were far below expectations. My trainer frequently missed sessions, was unprepared, and offered little to no guidance. After completing the contract, I attempted to cancel my monthly membership.

Despite multiple attempts to cancel—including visiting the gym, calling corporate customer service, and submitting an online request—I never received written confirmation that my membership was canceled. To my shock, I discovered that Amped Fitness continued to charge my credit card on auto-pay. I cancelled the autopay immediately.

Things escalated when I began receiving threatening letters from Aldous and Associates, claiming I owed money for both the personal training and the monthly membership. I provided all necessary documentation to prove that I had paid in full and had not used the gym's services since requesting the cancellation. Despite this, the harassment continued, causing significant stress and anxiety.

Amped Fitness has shown a complete lack of accountability throughout this ordeal. Their failure to provide promised services, honor my cancellation request, and correct their errors has led to this unjust situation. The relentless harassment by their collections agency, despite clear evidence that I owe nothing, is unacceptable.

This experience has left me disillusioned and deeply frustrated. I caution anyone considering a membership with Amped Fitness to think twice. The risks associated with their mismanagement and unethical practices far outweigh any potential benefits. This gym's lack of customer care and accountability is truly alarming, and I hope my review serves as a warning to others.

The cleanliness of this gym has gone down hill. They want you to clean machines after each use yet all the rags look like they haven’t been changed in days if not longer. Not only that using a dirty rag to clean is like licking silverware and putting back as if it’s clean. The floors are gross and the mirrors in the class room are beyond filthy. It smells like a dirty locker in here all the time. Be better Amped! I don’t just pay for a membership I pay for this place to be clean when I workout.

I wish I could rate at 5 stars, however due to some experience I can’t.
I will start off with the positive.
I signed up for personal training with Javon and he is amazing!!! He knows what he is doing. After discussing my personal goals and health issues; he has been making sure I get the most out of our training. Unlike the poor communication from the front desk, Javon alway makes sure to communicate changes to our schedule and confirming any upcoming sessions.
He emphasizes on the importance of my nutrition along with my physical fitness. I was at another gym and another trainer prior to joining and training with Javon; it’s a huge positive difference. Javon has a plan and makes sure I stick to it.

Now the not so great part: while the gym is spacious and has great equipments, over time the cleanliness has declined. As a member you are asked to whip the equipments after use, yet the cloth provided is dirty and wet, because they are not being washed/ changed frequently. It is very unhygienic and disgusting! I started bringing my own Lysol.
At first when I started, the front staff was friendly and eager to provide good customer service; that is not the case anymore!
They stand around and when asked a question, they don’t have an answer and tell you to call back later to speak to the manager. They are on their phones and barely look at you when spoken to. They need to go through customer service training expeditiously!
Lastly, there is constantly something wrong with the access app. Either it’s not working at all or it takes forever to work, you could stand there for a while smh.
If it wasn’t for the good rapport I have with Javon and Kim (another trainer) I would likely cancel my membership.

Honestly, this isn't a slam but I have a concern for the staff and service. I am a traveler and was super excited (amped) to visit this gym and get a great workout; however, I didn't get to. The 30 minutes that could have been used to warm up was used sitting and waiting to be properly checked in as a guest by staff. I was not acknowledged and ignored to the point I had to walk out. I got up at 5am just to get to the gym and find out (via a note posted on the door) that we once again can’t access the gym during unstaffed hours due to a technical issue. Due to this not being the first time this has happened, there should be some kind of plan in place. This is a HUGE inconvenience for so many people. They also don’t care enough to do anything to compensate for this. It’s pretty common sense…but you won’t find that here. If there was a better option, I would have left a long time ago, but there isn’t much in Montgomery so here we are. “Technology creates limitations” and that’s why as a business, you should be prepared for issues you know may come up in the future.

Recently I went to workout in the am bc this works with my lifestyle…..I workout 5 days a week sometimes 6, this particular morning I went to workout and the 24h access was denied due to a storm that rolled in. No explanation other than the gym hours are now 9-9 until further notice…now I understand the act of nature and things happen. So all the ppl that workout the am are now suddenly displaced….a business that cares would’ve had someone at the door to accommodate the early risers, with no compensation, it caused me to scramble to conduct my workout with other gyms….shout out to Crunch Fitness for helping fill the void….

All Customers, please make sure you read your contract. Not saying that the staff member didn’t explain this initially but I don’t remember all the fees. Monthly fee, an annual fee, plus a cancellation fee if you don’t give a 30 day notice which is crazy to me. The day that I came in to cancel the membership, as a courtesy and reminder, it should have been reiterated again that I would be charged a cancellation fee because I didn’t give a 30 day notice. My card was charged the very next day and I was really annoyed by that. Not to mention I called a few days prior and stated that I wanted to cancel. The staff member told me I had to come in and cancel and that was it. Still no mention about the 30 days. I called after the cancellation charge and then it was explained and also stated that I still had access for another 30 days. Well if I wanted to continue another 30 days I would not have cancelled in the first place. As a customer service trainer and business professional I do understand rules and policy. However, Customer Courtesy, satisfaction and customer experience goes a long way in our ever changing business world. This may be the gap between you and your competitors.

I wanna love it and I used to, initially…until some pretty serious issues arose and persisted…after reporting the experienced verbal harassment from another gym member to management repeatedly after experiencing it for months, it became clear: management was „too cool“ to handle this matter appropriately! In sum: nothing was done and both the gym member's behavior along with his membership continue, to date.

On another note: I also have never in my life seen so many people „superset(?)“ for lengthy periods of time with equipment across the gym - which blind eyes are being turned to by staff as well...

I've been going for a few months. It's not a super big gym but it's very nice and welcoming. The trainers are nice and the front desk employees always say hello and goodbye.
They clean a few times a day, and have all kinds of machines, free weights and racks.

Me and my friend came about 2 minutes after 9 to get into the gym. Of course the staffing hours are from 9-5. The young lady was standing on the other side of the counter texting on her phone while looking at us standing outside the door. I signed up for my membership weeks ago. This was my first time here. The welcome wasn’t so welcoming ! Oh and no guest after 9 p.m. Safe to say I will be canceling my membership!

Staffed hours are 9-9 M-F. Open Path App bluetooth access for members. You can only upgrade to VIP and get unlimitted access to every Amped nationwide through your original gym In being told so Amped deffinately needs to encorporate this feature into their app (hint, hint.) Amped Montgomery is beautiful, all new equipment and they have a turf section with tire flips and push sleds, my fav! Deffinately check this gym out.

Great place to work out when the door is working…for the surprise up front fees which I paid $91.97 within a 1 month time frame I can only access the sauna Mon-Fri 5am-9pm ..need I say more
