Staff was nice, but the hotel is very much outdated. It seems general maintenance is not a top priority..the bed was hard as a rock- linens weren't that great with only 3 pillows for a king bed? There is alot of noise from the highway at night. Not the worst hotel I've seen but prices are def too high for the quality. The highlight of my stay was definitely the mineral pool- but even that needs alot of TLC as well.

I stay here while working down in Dothan.I have seen some negative reviews but I'm giving an honest review of what to expect.Owners are Christian and have zero tolerance for noise. They will put you out!Staff is very helpful and keep the mineral pool maintained. The gym is nothing much.In 4 weeks I seen maybe 4 roaches(typical in motels)but far from infested.I always bring spray to all motels. It is quiet and you'll sleep very well.If you need anything they will help.Behave yourself and you'll enjoy your stay.Im going again in a few days and expect a good stay as always. The rooms are average(like a motel 6)btw.But everything works in the rooms,if not then they'll handle it.The bad reviews may be trouble makers that got booted.Don't bother other guests, don't yell, and no fighting, and you'll be fine here.Great for contractors working at the nuke plant working 12 hr shifts and just want peace and quiet.Do NOT use Motel 6 up the road.Loud music, drugs, and bums.

Rooms are by no means luxury. Most of the staff is pleasant until you deal with any middle aged white woman.(karens) bar is nice, food is decent, driving range is pretty good! Course is decently maintained, I think they should school their patron on golf etiquette, but overall I am satisfied with my experience!

Great course to learn on, the cart paths are the only thing I would say need some focus.
Greens just got sand put down so the grass is taller and they aren't rolling as fast.
Fairways are in good shape the T boxes are GUR right now.
The driving range is great to go and learn your swings on. They will give feedback to you right there. Enjoyed my day

I grew up around this hotel, and it has provided me with some awesome memories until now. The management there is very rude, Mr. Frankie who manages the rooms is very rude and does not give customer service. I guess if you have plenty of money to spend and are high status, he accepts you. Two thumbs down.

Really gross room. The staff was extremely nice so this review is not a reflection of them, but for the price you pay, it'd be nice if the floors weren't greasy and dead roaches removed. It is what it is though. Used to be $115 a night would buy you something nice but much like renting and buying a home, prices are overinflated. My grievances aren't with the front staff, rather it is with the owner of the property that doesn't even live in Dothan.

Bartender takes reservations and handles check-ins and does a lousy job with it like he is bothered by it.
Online $89.99,Digital flashing sign in front of motel $69.99,he refused to go lower than $79.99,says he had never heard of $69.99,Wth?
Then in a nearly empty motel puts me in a room with no heat except a space heater.25 degrees that night. No door seals(wish I had duct tape with me),cold air also coming thru a/c,had to put a pillow in front of it.Reminded me of the cold scene in the movie 1408!
Water takes awhile to get hot,but does help heat the room once running.
Only reason for staying here was a trade show at the Peanut Fairgrounds that is very close by.
Quiet motel because no one hardly stays there.
Craptactular place to stay!!!

The course is nowhere near worth the rate you are charging. $42 and none of the greens are worth a flip. You're better off spending a few more bucks and playing RTJ!
Update 1/12/25: The course is even worse than before. Still not $42. Go to RTJ or Roundabout.

Came here from FL to dodge Milton. I don't travel often and haven't stayed in lodging for 30+ years. I'm quite satisfied for the price I paid. The staff- from the front desk to housekeeping and the groundskeepers- were all friendly and empathetic. Good ol' southern hospitality. Didn't golf, but the course looks challenging. A couple million spent on soundproofing the rooms would be an improvement. Definitely need double pane hurricane windows to quiet the highway noise. Still, I'm not hard to please and the staff here made me want to return. Soon, I hope, as the people of Dothan are old-fashioned friendly.

One of the most impressive visits Iβve had in a hotel. Normally quiet hotel was packed full of hurricane helene refugees. Place was packed. Talked to manager when we checked in early in the day and he was allowing people with pets to get rooms even though they have a no pet policy, just to help people out.
Good food in the clubhouse and even though it was packed, service was great and the food was tasty. Manager was on u til late at night checking in people running from the storm and there early the next morning.
We had a small issue with a slow drain and Maintenance fixed quickly.
Super quirky and eclectic furnishings. Rooms were fine-nothing luxurious but they didnβt charge as if they were luxurious.
Canβt say enough about the staffβawesome!
Took a swim in the indoor hearting mineral pool and it was really fun.
Would love to come back and play 18!

This place is a dump. The room was moldy and disgusting and the windows were missing locks.
The door to the room looked like someone tried to break it off. The air conditioners mounted in the walls didn't work very well. The manager looked at the a/c units and said they would fix it right away and never came back.. there solution was a fan that was covered in greasy oil film and smelled like burnt grease. We decided to leave the hotel early and the manager kept arguing with me saying they don't refund money for any unused nights. Had to argue with the to get our money back. The bathroom was disgusting and refrigerated was filthy.

Great course, great people except one. I had a great time until I stepped into the clubhouse after our nine holes. A man by the name drew benton had some rude words to say about our attire. He went on to argue and degrade us, continuing to make rude remarks. We then decided to call it a day because of his behavior. As I said, I had a great time but I think this man should be out a job moving forward.

Did not stay at the hotel but I played a round of golf at the course. Very open, very forgiving. A lot of different terrain that you don't have at most courses in the south. The greens could use a little bit of work, but it is early in the season still. I would go back and play another round, even with the 90 minute drive each way. For the price it's worth it as Panama City courses are expensive now.

Don't know what rooms other reviewers were in but ours looked like it hadn't been updated since the 70's. I don't usually mind this but the bathroom area was close to be disgusting. Although the towels were very white and fluffy (looked new). The bed was very comfortable although it sounded like they had a plastic mattress pad on it the way it crinkled and crunched. The building the lobby and breakfast area were in definitely needs a new roof. Water stains on the ceilings everywhere and smelled of mildew.

Cute little hotel went with the hubby for a golfing weekend get away.
Room was clean an nice. Ac was cold all night ! An I have to sleep cold so thatβs a good thing !
They have a bar an u can take the drinks back to your room. They serve food in the bar as well. The driving range was fun! We played a game of 18 holes an it wasnβt to packed ! Didnβt have a line of people behind us thank god because it was my first time so we was kinda slow.
Only thing I didnβt like is I saw a sign saying you had to pay extra per person to use the indoor pool. I think that should be included in the hotel price alreadyβ¦ but over all a nice clean place to stay!!! 10 out of 10 π

Loads of characterβ¦.. Love this kind of spot! A quaint non-chain hotel, awesome friendly staff willing to make your stay worthwhile. This was a random check-in for us during our travel as our two nights nearby fell through. Eclectic decor of golf and family memorabilia from over the years, good food on the simple menu in the little pub. Most expensive thing on the menu $9 for the burger. Great for light meal. We had our clubs with us so played some golf on a beautifully laid out course. In need of some TLC on greens and fairways but you can see the team is working to bring the course to life. The practice range is fabulous. The rooms basic with comfortable beds, nice and clean. Best value for money paid !!!!

Me and my wife were passing through just looking for a place to sleep. Room was dingy and outdated, few electrical outlets. Could hear every vehicle that drove by on 231 plus the heater was short cycling running for 2 1/2 min then off for 1 1/2 minutes before repeating the cycle all night long. Plus in the morning, turned the TV on and no picture. Could not use my C-PAP due to the lack of outlets.

Slept like a rock here. made a $79 offseason 2nd floor, southern motel rate - but upgraded + $10 to ground on arrival and backed car up to room! its a safe motel - since its not in a downtown area, but 2 miles south of the dothan beltway in the country. bring your clubs ! on 10pm arrival I thought I missed the evening driving range - wrong! open to 1-2am depending. spent the next 2 hours on the range ! they have a state of the art automated Callaway assisted outdoor range pointed away from the lot and hotel with each lane having a dual monitor system for virtual golf AND/OR stats on every swing and hit. AND seating for friends. AND a full, cheap bar with southern-hospitality staff. AND $10/20/30 for balls to share with group with nothing extra for the automation. Im from C.FL im used to burnt courses and this one had a couple of hazzards, but it was just something to play around every 3 holes it seemed - but overall it was fine, and a cheap way to play on a Nickolas designed, prior PGA tour stop. I was happy to pay half the TJ costs and relax with great staff. on the automation each shot has time, club used, flat carry, total yds, ball speed, launch, height, landing degrees, curve, offline with a visual of the range showing groupings by club, sorting each category. I learned more about my swing and clubs in 2 small baskets than ive known my whole life. was perfect timing because I was late leaving waiting on my new taylor made irons to take there. We were in town supporting the Scottish Highland Games, now in Daleville, and with the great experience here we will add DN to our preferred hotel/motel spot and socialize in a lane with other MacDhuibh family clan members and friends to congregate as they arrive. Golfed both mornings and had a great time! pics of range below. BTW - they were doubling the number of lanes the weekend we were there. its a great setup. a huge feature not discussed on other reviews - newer feature. room wasnt JW Marriott but it had essentials, it was quiet, and thankfully it doesnt allow smelly dogs and/or smoking in the rooms. This old PGA stop is the true south by God's Grace. The staff is great !

Went here for our honeymoon. We had been here before for the hot mineral spring. The pool wasn't as hot as it was. The room was OK, but it had some flaws. Only 1 lamp and the ice machine wad just a large freezer chest (it was empty most of the time). The service was great tho. Asked for ice or towels and got them right away. The breakfast was OK. Just cereal, waffles and muffins. We loved our stay here tho.

I read all the reviews on line before the company I work for made the trip for the weekend. We had 11 people stay at Dothan National Golf Club and Hotel. When we arrived we were greeted with friendly staff. We had 6 rooms and everyone on our trip said the rooms were clean, and everything worked. The AC in the room was amazing it kept the room cool all day and night. We played 9 holes on Friday (8-4-23) until it started raining. We went back to the clubhouse and had dinner Friday night. The food was good! We all had something different off the menu. From grilled chicken sandwich to a chili dog. Not one complaint from our picky crew. Full bar set up inside the clubhouse. After dinner on Friday we went to the driving range, it was packed. We had the best time hitting golf balls on their simulator (sort of like top golf). .Saturday we played 18 holes. It's a good course! They have done some work to it. We enjoyed the food Friday night and decided to eat lunch there on Saturday. Sunday we played front 9. Dothan National Golf Club and Hotel is a good time. If you are a company that has a bunch of golfers like we do then I highly suggest you give them a try. Side note outside pool is huge and clean!

I have played many golf courses in the south east. This course, by far, is the worst I have played. The cart paths are terrible, the fairways are terrible, and the greens are Terrible. I am posting some pictures but they will not do it justice. Same your money, drive somewhere else and play.

We booked on-line through Priceline. A great rate of $53/night, this would be a one night stay as a rest stop on the way down to Port Saint Joe, Florida for our 11th anniversary trip. When we arrived I told the desk clerk our name and that we had reservations, he promptly ask for ID, said "yep, got you for one night?". "Yes sir" I said....he put in all the information, and presented us with an $89/night price......I told him that wasn't correct, presented our confirmation email with the $53/night price, and we were told "sorry, we can't do that price, $78/night is the best we can do". I again said we had reservations, he apologized for the problem, but, again, said they couldn't honor that on-line price. I told them they'd have one less room to clean, 5 instead of 6. This place was near empty, we didn't stay there.|I wonder how many folks just go ahead and pay the increased rate.

Absolute worse golf course in town (or tied for worse with the one on east side). Maybe worse course within 50 moles. Not too long ago it was a decent course for the money. After today, I won't be back. Normally play on the west side of town but decided to play here again today. Rumor is place is for sale so I guess they don't care at all. Do they even have an irrigation system? Sad...

Das Hotel ist schon sehr in die Jahre gekommen. Die Lobby ist hell und freundlich und ein biΓchen versteckt. Der Preis wird nach dem freundlichen Empfang erstmal fast verdoppelt (von 53 $ auf 88 $). If you book online once you arrive they don't honor the price and tell you it's higher. I booked for 79 online Was charged 89 plus a 10 dollar room key fee. OK no big deal. Pay it get the key go to the room and there's blood stain sheets on one bed, we remove sheets and use or own covers. Beds are old, pillows are even older. Guess you get what you pay for. π€· Well not really I paid for a place to sleep, Didn't get any with uncomfortable beds. Better off sleeping in your vehicle and showering at a truck Stop. Facts

The golf course needs to be shut down. I've played several times hoping that with the rain and spring greening that it would improve but I played recently and it seems to have gotten worse. The whole place sucks. No grass in the fairways. No grass on the greens. Dirt, clay and broken limbs laying all over the place. It's obvious the ownership doesn't care about the course. It's absolutely horrible. I won't give them any more of my money. Don't waste your time and money.

We check in around 7pm. Charged exactly $10 over what we had booked online. It was late needed food. Drove into town to eat.
Returned to hotel with power outage and a drunken party of about 10 people in the parking lot.
So, it's dark, booming country music downstairs, and no air conditioning.
Breakfast was coffee and assorted carbs.
The checkout was smoother with a $10 refunded when ask about the overcharge.
On a positive note the Power did come back on after a couple of hours so air conditioner drowned our some party noise.

The hotel is definitely dated but we enjoyed our stay. The staff was great and our room was clean and food was great. They have a large pool that goes to 12ft, and two small pools for babies and toddler. They also have a large mineral pool inside which was amazing. The golf prices are very reasonable but you can't rent a golf cart unless you are a member. The down side was I booked a room with two queen sized beds and got full sized beds which were very uncomfortable but thats my biggest complaint. It not a fancy golf resort so if thats what your looking for then this is not the place. However if your just wanting to relax, play some golf, and have some great food then this is the place for you.

Stayed at the hotel and played golf and ate dinner at the bar. The rooms are fine. Ours was clean, beautiful sunset golf course view. It's not a $300 a night place so don't expect a $300 room. It is basic. Air conditioner worked great, fridge worked, carpet was newer. For the price, it exceeded our expectations.
The course needs grass. Layout is exceptional. Greens were ok, fairways bare. It had been seeded and fertilized and I was told with the proper amount of rain, it will fill in. Driving range is awesome, and the workers were super nice.

If you're just looking for a clean place to get a shower and a bed and really don't care, you just need them two things, then this is a place for you. There is nothing fancy about this place. To be a "Golf Club" it is not what you would expect. The rooms are clean. They are a little outdated, and they look like they need a lot of TLC. We have stayed here a couple of times, but I prefer to sleep in our big truck sleeper. The beds are not comfortable. In a king-size bedroom, you get 2 vert flat pillows. When I say flat, I might as well sleep without one. π΄ It is very noisy, The walls are very thin, so you hear every car door shut, when they pull up and when they crank their car. You hear anyone who walks by or stands outside conversation. The so-called black out curtains are not so blacked out. π The room is like having 3 or 4 nightlights turned on at one time. So if you plan on staying here bring your night mask and ear plugs. Because you will need them. You also have to ask for extra towels.

We felt like we were the victims of a "bait and switch". We booked our room through Hotels.com, but the hotel would not honor the rate when we arrived. Because they have the "golf" in their name, they charge more. This hotel is along the lines of a Motel 6 or Super 8.||Hotels is VERY old and in desperate need of cleaning and updating. The handle in the sink in our room would come off in your hand when you tried to turn the water on or off. The rooms was so bare. There was no clock, no iron, no hair dryer. ||You actually have a key for the door and they charge a deposit, which is supposed to be refunded. I am still waiting for that.||Would not recommend this property if you are looking for clean and comfortable.

Hotel staff " Frankie " who I was told he was the " manager " was very rude and quite frankly had ZERO customer service excellence. Booked online at a substantially lower price for a basic room. Upon arrival they " upgraded " my room to one of the best rooms and said your total is $279 Dollars. I said what?! that's not what I booked for, I showed my confirmation email and " Frankie " just blew it off and said, " There's no way I can get you a room for that amount and we are fully booked ". I had no choice but to succumb to their demands....
I then finally realized that I had this SAME EXACT ISSUE a few days after hurricane Michael that wrecked my home town area.
The younger girl that worked behind the counter was nice, she actually showed excellence and explained the whole ordeal. I think she should train " Frankie " on customer service skills.
The only positive about this 2 day stay was the room was very clean and smelt fresh. Shoutout to the cleaning people for doing a great job.

While the basic ambiance of this hotel was a little dated we found the clubhouse and ordered lunch. The 'Cruisin' the Green car show we were attending did have vendors but the option to sit in an air-conditioned club house was more appealing to us. I ordered a BLT and my husband the club sandwich and I'll have to say both sandwiches were absolutely amazing. Though we ordered chips we got french fries but we got through that little mistake. Sadly, the clubhouse was understaffed and those who were serving customers were friendly and worked hard to keep everybody happy. Kudos to all!

It started off bad. I booked a room online for $69. Got there and they charged me $107. And I never got my $10 key deposit back. The rooms are outdated and worn. Bed wasn't comfortable. No wi-fi. Keep saying I had the wrong password. When we got there, there were quite a few people hanging out on the balconies partying. Nobody was rude or anything. It's just not how I pictured a "golf hotel". I thought it would be A LOT nicer and cleaner. I did snap a few pool pictures before we left. If you didn't have a room you had to pay $10 to get an armband to use the pool. The kiddie pool was dry and I almost stepped into it. And if you got into either of the other two pools you would be a whole lot braver than I. The place has potential, but as it sits right now, I'll not go back.

This place is cheap by price! My room is full of cockroaches! They sprayed! Still roaches! It stinks! We had to clean the room! House keeping gave us the sheets to change our own beds! The staff is hateful and rude! Itβs dated and not clean! The mattress is wore out and black on the bottom with a piece of plywood under it! We had to go buy our own pillows. No one answered the phone for our calls! No phone in the room. Lots of noise! Parties outside the rooms! NO HEAT in the room!

We were trying to make it to Florida before stopping overnight, but ran out of steam so we decided to stay here. The guy who checked us in smelled of alcohol, but he was nice and didn't seem murdery so whatever. We were counting on the refrigerator to keep our cold items cold (we were on a multi-day trip) but the fridge was unplugged when we got there. Boo. The beds were very old - when we sat on the edge to take our shoes off, the springs bounced and squeaked. The room was just generally kind of dirty and gross, but served our purpose in getting us some sleep before moving on. "Breakfast" was old coffee and individually wrapped Eggos you could put in the toaster. There was apparently some excitement overnight with police cars in the parking lot, but we slept through it, thankfully. It's not the worst place I've ever stayed, but it was way overpriced (about $100 for a room that should have cost $50 - and no senior discount). We don't plan to ever go back.

The only reason this gets more than one star is because I think I met Keith Richardβs at the bar where you have to get your golf cart key. We went through three golf carts until we found one that ran.

I booked here because of all the fairly positive reviews but the experience was bad. First, I had booked a king size room (because it was supposed to have a coffee pot) and was given a double room instead. There was so much humidity coming from the door (which wasn't sealed all the way. You might want to replace that on room 114) that the carpet was wet and the bedding felt damp. The tub desperately needs to be cleaned as you can see all of the dirt and grime from previous uses. The room smelled moldy. We ended up staying with family for the rest of our trip to Dothan because of how bad the room was. We even checked out early. Just a warning to anyone who stays here, they do not offer refunds on nights you don't stay. I really wish I had taken pictures because what's on their website is not what we had.

Lemme give you some advice about this place...DO NOT stay here infested with bed bugs!!! Someone should call health department..woke up at 2 am to these eating me alive ...desk not open in at night so couldn't inform and desk clerk denies it but have photos to prove it...wish I could rate negative stars I would have rated negative 10!

We were there for a business trip. While the hotel was a little older. You could tell it was loved, clean and updated. Every staff member there were just genuinely happy and nice. Special kudos to the cook who made me a breakfast I wasn't allergic to π . The pool was such a blast and huge! Made it feel like we were on a small vacation and not business. Thank you π

Checked in and as soon as I get settled, some guy I guess was housekeeping walks right in and I'm like are we serious right now. We just walk in anyone's room without knocking. Then I go to the bathroom and there is no stopper for the drain in the tub. So I had to use a hand towel in order to take a bath. SMH. And to top things off, we were charged over $500 and the room is worth$50 if that. Will never stay here AGAIN!!!!

I love this golf course range and room. The course is a nice large layout to have some much room to play. A great place to have a group to play and enjoy the secludedness. The range was upgraded and it has Toptracer on the bays that is a big plus. The balls are old and not consistent to really unstained what you getting out of the ball. the room was clean and quite.

Customer check in was great. It was a very quiet but busy place to stay for the weekend. We enjoyed the mineral pool. They have several bars, they don't close anything till you are done enjoying yourselves. Most places try to kick out at closing but they don't. I definitely recommend this for a weekend trip. Yes they have lots of golf activities.

The golf course and management are absolutely junk! If you have no where else to play sure go there! Facilities are trash and so is the course! Hosted a High school match and let a group of 50 go between the teams due to lack of scheduling/organizational skills. For 15$ more you can play RTJ! What a dump!

This place is DISGUSTING. The old lady who is over ruining the business, needs a reality check.
Pool is nasty, jacuzzi is a breeding ground for whatever disease that the junkies bring in.
Over priced run down. No hospitality. No manners. Stuck up.
Roaches and hair in the bathrooms.
A lower 2 star hotel is better than what these people offer

If I could give this room less than one star, I most assuredly would. It is 5am. I haven't slept in 48 hours because I worked the night before we left out. We got here. The pool was awesome. The microwave worked. That is where the compliments end. I laid down at 6pm, planning on sleeping for a few hours, then finding something to do. I may have napped for an hour.
The bed is extremely uncomfortable. The heater did not work, and we still aren't sure if the fridge actually kept our food cold or if it was just cold because the room was about 40 degrees (Not exagerrating.)
Because the outlets weren't working, my wife couldn't use her sleep machine that i was promised wouldn't be a problem. She has sleep seizures without the machine, so now she (THE DRIVER) has been up for 24 hours.
I am now waiting outside the hotel in my heated car. Because since 3:30AM I have called 5 times, left three voicemails, and walked the property twice. Phone goes straight to voicemail, and there is NO ONE on premises after being told the lobby would be available all night (sometimes a must when both adults have medical issues.)
I haven't even HAD their breakfast, but, needless to say, if I'm not impressed, I won't be surprised.
I just want my $$ back.

The room that we had on the 2nd floor had residue on the back of the suite's door as you face out of it. Its minifridge is gross, the tub was still dirty & had residue from it, and there was a dirty floor. Do NOT stay here, even if you get drunk in Dothan and need some place to stay.
