I started my journey at Elite, at the age of 3. Ms. Joanne, along with many other teachers, taught me everything I know about the sport of dance. I have been to another studio in the area, and it does not compare to the curriculum provided at Elite. I pride myself on being a small part of this studio. I am now a teacher at Elite, teaching these students the same enthusiasm and integrity that Ms. Joanne has taught me. I enjoy watching all of the students improve daily!

As a traveling guest teacher, Joann (owner) has been nothing but awesome to work with. Her students are polite & eager to learn which indicates a strong foundation at the studio culture level. As a renter of space, Joann is also extremely professional and provides a wonderful space to work in. Further, with her attached dancewear store, Joann provides the best customer service. Overall, I would STRONGLY recommend ANY one come here to dance or purchase dancewear.

Both of our kids just finished their first year as Dazzling Dolls (competition team) and multiple classes and they are hooked. This place is exactly what I hoped it would be. It’s a awesome place to learn how to dance. You can come for the socials and dance the night away and build community. They have classes for the absolute beginners to the advanced. Amazing dance studio. All the instructors are extremely talented and helpful to people of all ages and skills. They have lots of group classes every week in many dance styles. I love this studio for the Progress, learning and developing my little girls dance skills. The Owner Mrs Joanne and her staff of teachers/instructors/choreographers are excellent. They really work to develop the potential of the students. They teach and instill love, discipline, and the art of dance all the while helping the girls and even boys to reach and exceed their potential. What sets this Dance Academy is the Inclusive Dance Culture. No matter what size, age, color , skill level of your child they will help develop them and don’t take the overall fun or love of Dance. If you want the Best for your child in Dance I strongly recommend Elite. I’ve had studios see my child on social media and try to recruit, offer me 1/2 off tuition, free 6 months etc. I have turned them down because Elite got her to this level and she is only 8. Elite offers family. If you have a Dance Mom TV show attitude I don’t recommend because Elite is about the kids, all the kids matter.

If you’re looking for a dance studio you want go wrong with Elite Dance Academy. My granddaughter has danced with Elite for 5 years now. She has been on the Dazzling Dolls for 3 years and she absolutely loves it. Ms Joann and her director’s are the best hands down. My 3 daughters all took dance at Elite Dance Academy for years. 2 were on the Dazzling Dolls dance team. Joanne Davidson and her professionalism, and talent, and those of her instructors gave them confidence and skills 2nd to none! One daughter went on to get a BFA in musical theatre and her dance instruction helped her perform at Dollywood, Carrowinds and other theaters around the country and she is currently living in NYC to pursue her dreams. 2 daughters returned to participate in the 20th anniversary recital a couple years ago. I would definitely recommend Elite Dance Academy!

I have gone here a long time and I love it! The choreography is stunning and win national titles! They even have a built in dance shop with dance wear ballet belts hair clips tights shoes and more. We are a family and love eachother and I have mad A BUNCH of freinds here. I have been doing comp since 2018 and it has been so fun!! I definitely recommend 👍

My daughter went here for years. When covid hit we were still getting charged full price even though they were closed. I get doing this for a month or so but Im not paying $400 for nothing. We pulled my daughter out of competition dance due to my wife's mother having cancer and the instructor bumped her down a level in retaliation. After that we decided to leave permanently. Since then the owner and daughter will not even speak to my daughter or even acknowledge her if she speaks to them. Pretty childish in my opinion. My daughter had nothing to do with this. Then the owner had the nerve to ask my father to take pictures at her recital even though she treats his granddaughter like this. If he only knew what kind of two faced person the owner really is. To treat a child that learned from you for almost eight years and now just ignore them in public. Its sad that she's teaching her own daughter to be the same way. I hope she sees this review too. Stay away from this place. There are plenty of other dance studios with a lot less drama.

We have been a part of the Elite Dance Academy family for 10 years. Before we started dancing, I did my research on studios in the Columbus and Phenix City area and decided on enrolling my daughter at Elite. I am so very glad that I did because I truly believe that Elite Dance Academy is the best studio in the area. The teachers are well trained and really care about their students. Students learn proper terminology and technique even in the youngest classes. Elite offers a wide range of dance class levels and styles including a boys only hip-hop/breakdance and various styles like ballet, pointe, jazz, tap, hip-hop, lyrical, leaps/turns, and tumbling. Elite Dance Academy has been a great fit for our daughter and we are proud to call Elite our home :)
