In response to your above message (I couldn’t see a way to respond back on the previous chain):

Never have I been to a facility that closed the walking track or anything else during a tournament. We are a traveling team & have been to MANY venues. We parents ALWAYS want something to do in between games, such as walking and/or working out if that is available at the venue. If you’ve had participants request to close the walking track previously , my guess is that is NOT the norm. I have NEVER experienced that. And no other venue has ever placed ANY restrictions on what we could and could not do while attending a tournament that WE are paying for. For example, we were at the University of Alabama 2 weeks ago and they had a full gym and walking track and we were free to use both. That has been the case for EVERY venue that our team has ever played at.
Honestly, we paid to use this gym area, the walking track is part of that area & I do not appreciate being told that I have to pay “her $10” to use an area that our club as already paid for.
Also, I do not know who has decided to put rude signage through out the entire facility. You can’t walk 5 feet without seeing signage about “DO NOT DO THIS OR THAT”.
I can’t even understand why anyone pays to use your facility considering all of the negative signage THROUGHOUT the facility requiring that your PAID clients DO something or DON’T do something. In addition you have a rude old bitty at the front desk policing the walking track for people that didn’t pay “her” $10. No, I didn’t pay “her” $10, I just paid for my volleyball club dues (uppers of $3000) that covers renting this gym for the day & $15 per person today to get in AND money spent in the vending machines because we “can’t bring in any outside food or drinks in”?!?!?! These girls are playing hard for multiple hours, and we can’t bring in healthy snacks for them?!?!?!? There’s nothing but junk in your vending machines. And drinks to stay hydrated?!?!? This is an example of the MULTITUDE of demanding/rule setting signage thought the ENTIRE facility.
To ask me to pay $10 to walk on a track that no one is using. That is the definition of absurdity.
Last but not definitely not least, the A/C in the gym area, that we PAID to rent for the day, NEVER turned on ALL day. It was scorching, but only in the gym!! Miraculously, it was nice and cool in the area where old bitty was manning the desk. The girls that played today were sweating to death while playing on a court that WE paid for.
Based on your email, your plan is to add MORE negative signage and MORE restrictions!?!?!?

The facility is nice but the one of the staff members is not friendly at all. I am here attending a volleyball tournament at this facility, which our volleyball league has paid to use this location. In between games I was walking around the upstairs walking track to get in some exercise because I had a 3 hour drive to get here. Let me mention that NOONE was on the walking track except me. The unfriendly staff member came over to me while I was walking & said “you can’t use the walking track unless you pay me $10”. That’s the most ridiculous thing I’ve ever heard. We travel to many locations similar to this one and NO OTHER facility has ever had ANY issue with us using the walking track or gym, etc. Now I just waiting for that old biddy to come tell me I can’t use the restrooms while we’re here. 😱

This was my first time at this PARA facility, and it was a very pleasant atmosphere. The front desk personnel was friendly, very attentive, and informative. They facility was very clean and it has a full kitchen. They have several rooms you can rent out for parties. They also have a pavilion. My party was in the "Kid Zone" room and we had it for 6 hours . We had an enjoyable time with the kids, and we also had a chance to look around the facility . I must not forget the grounds, very, very clean, no complaints there. We will be considering this facility for future events.

Weight room has a serious overcrowding problem. Not enough equipment/free weights to easily come in and freely exercise and the facility doesn’t seem to have the urgency to want and correct the problem. The majority of people who do show up usually have no idea what they’re doing, which leads to a lot of the equipment being out of commission for sometimes months (attached photo) before it’s repaired. With the new year coming up, it’s only going to get worse and will be practically impossible to come here and use the weight room unless drastic changes are made and a significant amount of weights / equipment is added.

This place has always been awesome and clean....my visit on Thursday morning not so much.....women's showers had mold....black mold....didn't just pop up in a day.....I was about to renew my membership after a year from health issues.....I drive from Kennedy....not going to drive and pay for an unclean place to rinse off and change.....I have photos.....very disappointing.... I will be returning to try again Monday morning....if it's still not addressed I will find another place...

The good: The staff is incredible and full of nice and friendly people who couldn’t be any better.

The bad: the gym has become entirely too overcrowded for the amount of equipment available. Northport/Tuscaloosa is missing a gym that has an abundance of free weight equipment where you never have to worry about crowds or waiting on any sort of machine, rack, weight, ect. This facility either needs three times the weight equipment, or needs the amount of memberships to go down drastically. If you’re looking to do anything else here as far as hosting a party or any other sort of fitness (like swimming), this is a great spot. But for weights, in its current state I would have to suggest finding somewhere else to get your workout in. The only reason I continue my membership here is because of how close the facility is to my house. All it would take for me to cancel it is finding another gym in the area that has enough available equipment/free weights where you don’t have to worry about crowds or people swamping your personal space.

The price for a single membership also recently increased from $33 to $37.

If you live in Northport or even Tuscaloosa, this is the place to go! They quite literally have everything you could ask for.
Rock climbing wall; Olympic size swimming pool/ therapeutic pool; fully equipped gym; running track; basketball court; treadmills and ellipticals; and more like activities for seniors and young children.

To top it all off, their front desk staff are just wonderful. They will put a smile on your face the minute you walk in!

Reserved the lap pool and the party room for my daughter's birthday. The party started at 1:00pm on a Sunday. They wouldn't even let us in the doors until 12:55pm, so we stood outside over 20 minutes. They told us we weren't able to set up for our party in the room since we didn't reserve it until 2:00 pm. The staff was anything but helpful and didn't not make this a good experience. Overall, they were short spoken and difficult to deal with. Would not recommend a party here.
Sad thing is, we've been members of PARA for years and I've grown up in their gyms. I was not treated politely.

Faucet Brothers Center is very clean and well-maintained. The staff are helpful and friendly and prices are fair. The gym is very nice with updated equipment and a walking track. The large pool is nice for swimming, parties or swim practice. The heated pool is great for therapy, exercise or relaxation. We love it there!
