Popped in on a day pass. Easy process, great selection of machines, plate loaded, cables, and free weights. Awesome environment, not a commercial gym set up. Real gym feel. Ellipticals, treadmills, stair stepper. Loved this place and would definitely be back if I was in the area!

This place looks like it’s trying to go out of business and can’t. The oldest gym equipment I’ve ever seen. Much of it is literally held together with black duct tape. It’s cooler outside in July than inside this building. And it’s FILTHY. It hasn’t been cleaned in decades it appears. I’ll give them credit, they stay fairly packed. But if there was any other choice in town, I’d go there. Unfortunately the next closest gyms are in OBA at the rec center (which is phenomenal!!!) or in Foley at Planet Fitness which doesn’t have all the equipment we like.

Also, shirts are very optional at this gym. You’ll see quite a few shirtless individuals who really like to grunt loudly. Oh and, Wipe the equipment down after you sweat all over it? Not in this gym. I think I was the only person who has ever thought to clean that equipment. If hot, nasty, and old are your thing, this is your place!!!

Was in gulf shores for a long weekend vacation. Went to this gym three days in a row and it grew on me fast! Had all the equipment I needed for my workouts. The locals on there were very nice and friendly. Staff members and trainers talked with my friend and I multiple times, super supportive group. Vibes were high in here!!! I went between 7:30-10 am and it wasn’t crowded. If I lived here I would 100% get a membership at this gym. Couldn’t say enough good things.

Went 2 times during a week long vacation in Gulf Shores, and both times were great! Staff was extremely friendly and approachable, the gym itself wasn’t too busy and I left both times feeling refreshed after my workouts.

Lots of machines to use, and they have tons of free weights. There’s a studio on the second floor that you can use if you want more privacy doing your workout.

They have one-day and week-long options if you’re not from the area, which make it so easy to drop in and get a quick workout in while you’re vacationing.

Would visit again if I’m back in the area!

Talked with staff about it and never got a clear response on how or when it’ll be solved. Advertised as a 24/7 gym when in fact it’s not. To add to it all water bottle filler is out of service

It should never be this hard to get ahold of a local business. Especially during “staffed hours”. As a fellow business owner if you pay for automated services to automatically answer calls or messages that doesn’t exclude a human from following up!

Literally have called 4 times this week, and messaged on Facebook Messenger to get 3 weekend passes for my weekend workouts for me and the fellas traveling from out of town, and nothing!

It might be a nice gym, but when your customer service is garbage it makes it impossible to do anything but make this review.

This gym is a must if you’re traveling in the area. On a family vacation from Michigan about a month ago and still miss this gym, the members, and the owners who are super friendly and inviting. Very clean and has plenty of the right equipment to meet your needs. This gym didn’t make me miss my gym which happens when I travel. Also, the shirts are pretty damn good as well. So don’t be cheap, buy some shirts and support a great independently owned gym.

While on vacation I had the opportunity to visit Fitness Factory in the Gulf Shore, Alabama for the week. The owner, staff, and patrons were extremely pleasant. Cost for the week was not only reasonable, for a flat fee, you had 24 hours access. The gym was maintain, i.e., clean, good equipment, etc... HANDS DOWN one of the best gyms we've been able to attend while traveling!!! True hole-in-the-wall power gym! Not huge, and therefore not overrun by people only wanting to show up and chat while blocking the equipment. Not sure who the guy was at the counter (big guy with glasses), but he was super hospitable. We go to a lot of lifetime fitness gyms...this guy has officially made them all look terrible in the customer service area! Gym has a tanning, posing mirrors, lots of free weights, and even a cross fit area upstairs. If you're looking for a pretty, country club environment, this is not your place. Trying to hit actual fitness goals? 10/10! Please like if this review is helpful!

I was visiting family in the area and needed a place to workout for a week(ish). There were a few options, but when I saw a small business that had made it through the lockdowns, I knew I had to try it out.
The staff were friendly, helpful and polite. (Agh....I miss the South.) They have 24 hour access, which is truly amazing, though I never had a need to use the gym outside of normal operating hours. The gym has all of the equipment you would need to get a full workout (plus cardio...don’t forget your cardio) and it was never crowded enough to where you had to wait for equipment.
A wonderful experience at a fantastic gym. There is no doubt I will be back during my next visit.

It has been almost 3 years that I had a real "wake up call" about my body. I was diagnosed by an orthopedic surgeon with tears in my hip cartilage AND had sustained a severely bulged disc in my lower back. My choices were either extreme surgeries or a commitment to changes in my lifestyle. That is when I chose to try personal training to see if it would be possible to avoid the surgeries. I chose Rob Breckner as my trainer because of he reached out to me, and I quickly learned that his reputation as a trainer is true. Rob's commitment to excellence, true education in the science of muscle training, well-equipped gym, and sincere care with his clients were the combination I needed to be on the road to success and strength! I had been overweight much of my life, had always been intimidated by "working out", had never been a gym kind of person, my loves were yoga and cycling. I now understand that weight training was the missing link that I so desperately needed to defy the odds and recover from my injuries. In the beginning I was one-on-one with Rob, but after a few months of working with me (which admittedly took much patience on Rob's part) I began to work-out 3 days a week in a small group. I continue in this group with Rob today, and we love it!! The encouragement, consistency, and Rob's expertise and advice is transforming my body to the strongest and healthiest I have ever been in my life. We are so fortunate to have Fitness Factory and a caliber of trainer like Rob right here on the Gulf Coast. If you haven't visited, you should..and for anyone wanting a scientific, knowledgable trainer I whole-heartedly recommend Rob. So cool to get back to town and come to this inspiring gym. I've never really been a gym dude but they are great here. I love this place. Like it says real big on the wall here "respect". :) and if you are looking for a place that is green and blue and has heavy stuff; look no more. This place is the greenest and the bluest and the weights are made out of. ..? ..they are made out of solid something heavy. That's how I'm getting some muscles this year. I joined Fitness Factory a couple months ago because I needed to jumpstart my personal fitness program and because I know what a class act the owner (Rob) is. I've known Rob for 9+ years; his knowledge of the fitness industry and expertise from nutrition to working with special needs clients is the best in the area. Gyms can be intimidating to some women especially those of of us who are a bit overweight and older. At no point have I felt out of place at FITNESS FACTORY due to my age (61) or size. If at least one person reads this reveiw and gets it I will feel I helped someone; so here it goes I’m over weight and decided to do somethng about it I called this gym and rob answered I explain to him I wanted a female trainer he said that no one was avaible but is very experienced ; so I booked and meet and greet with him ; I did notice everyone on his website was tan and in great shape so feeling a little nervous but went anyways huge costly mistake.; after meeting him and paying him 450for the month to train he also charged me to use his gym I was like ok ; than he said to me and I swear i was shocked that I need more like you to join are gym : more people like me as in overweight people I never wanted to go bak ; I begged him to at least refund some of my money he refused and he keeps billing me for the monthly membership; there are awesome places here in orange beach etc to work out that would never conduct biznesss that way ; so if ur on the heavy side maybe look elsewhere cuz this owner thinks of us as these people ✌️

It's not the chain fitness store that rings a bell and kicks you out when you groan from effort during exercise, nor is it a place where a novice will feel intimidated. Rob is not an absentee owner like some of the other 24/7 fitness centers. He is an extremely qualified and knowledgeable personal trainer. Well equipped gym, clean, full set of barbells and free weights, and offers a daily rate (great for vacationers). Beware though, when I visited on October 8th, there was a sign on the door stating that the staff hours were being reduced beyond what was on the website. I called the number on the door and Rob was there in less than 5 minutes to make it right, but I would still recommend calling ahead (at a reasonable time, the call goes directly to him).

Dave (the owner) is a crook and a liar. I would stay clear of this place. Your fitness is the last thing on his mind. He only cares about his wallet! Find another gym!!!

I had a great experience here as an out of towner looking for somewhere to workout. The owner is an amazing guy who is very personable and eager to please. Just a plethora of exercise machines to choose from. Great atmosphere. Wish they were in Atlanta!

If you're looking for a gym with a decent selection of cardio, strength and cross-training equipment, then this is your place! Rob and the other staff are incredibly friendly and open to all newcomers and vactioners. So based off of my experience, I can say it's great gym for fitness junkies away on vacation or moving to the area.

This gym was a wonderful surprise. I was in Gulf Shores on vacation for a week and was delighted to find a gym comparable to my gym at home. There was a wide range of equipment that was obviously chosen for its functionality and the staff was incredibly helpful and friendly. Visiting members can also get 24/7 access, making gym trips very convenient. I definitely recommend giving this place a try if you're ever in the area.

I'm in town visiting Gulf Shores for spring break, so of course one of the prime things I'm looking forward to is finding an awesome gym to work out at while I'm there. Before the trip, I start looking up different gyms around. This one popped up, so I checked the website and thought about hitting it up once I got into town. My first day there, I said "Hey I'm needing a gym to work out at for the next few days while I'm here. Do you mind if I check the place out?" The lady working said, "Yes! Let me show you around." During that tour, I realized there were some key things that stuck out to me. This place had two power racks and dumbbells that go well over 100lbs. I was immediately sold. I could see myself using those racks to squat and deadlift already. Only thing is they don't allow chalk and they don't have squat belts there. As a powerlifter, those are two essential things for me. But I decided to use straps and brace the core extra hard. It was a solid gym.

Used them as my vacation gym and loved every work out. Clean facility, friendly staff, great equipment (Hammerstrength :) ) I'll be using them every time I visit the beach from now on!

This is my first time visiting Alabama and due to many unforeseen circumstances that made my trip uncomfortable running into Rob's gym made my stay so much better. He has such a caring and kind personality it's hard not to feel like you are at home working out. The facilities are easy to use and they are spot clean. It makes a corporate gym look like low class establishment. The rest of the staff is also Friendly and go out of their way to make sure you are having a good time. I can only hope to see this professional and friendly place thrive in this small town beach community. I look forward to recommending this gym to all my peers next time they come to gulf shores. Best Gym on the Beach!!! Absolutely love the facility, equipment, and staff!! Just the best all around!
If you live in the area or if you're on vacation you won't be sorry I garuntee it, the staff is amazing too. The staff hours and 24 hour acsess is great as well. Stop by and see the "Fitness Factory Family" they are GREAT!!!
