I wouldn't trust them to walk my dog, much less ever train me again. Also, I would be hesitant to consider their positive reviews on here because during my time training there, I was offered a free t-shirt to leave a positive Google review.

I am a world class athlete that has been fortunate to represent Team U.S.A. at the highest level. Also, I am all but dissertation for a Ph.D. in performance psychology. My specific area of expertise and research is optimal performance. With that being said, I can confidently say that my experience with the training at Godspeed was conducted in a way that contradicts all theory and research on optimal performance. When I did train there, all major decisions about my training were solely made by me, and staff would either refuse to provide guidance or was incapable of providing guidance. Also, my experience with the staff, with the exception of 2 or 3, was very unprofessional. I heard, and was sometimes brought into, conversations about other members and coaches, and I was also exposed to inside information that no client should be subjected to, like conversations about business finances.

When I left Godspeed, it was not on amicable terms. However, after receiving a lot of publicity and competing at the 2022 World Games, they began to contact me to the extent that it has become a criminal matter. I have an open, pending criminal case against the owner for Harassing Communications. I have told them multiple times to quit contacting me. I have made it apparent I have no interest in returning to Godspeed. They have been contacted by an investigator with the police department and advised the same. I have unsubscribed from their email account, but I continue to be contacted. However, this is consistent with the unprofessional behavior that I observed during my time training at Godspeed. This harassment has reached a point that I believe I have an obligation to make people aware of my experience so nobody else has to be subjected to this type of treatment. Also, like other reviews have mentioned, they have a problem with coach retention. There is an obvious reason for this problem. Their rating with the Better Business Bureau (BBB) is a C+.

While I personally would not grade this place as high as a C+, I believe that is a generous, yet fair, rating for them. However, I can't say all bad things about Godspeed. They do have nice facilities, and the staff is skilled in convincing people that they are experts. Unfortunately, not many people have the academic and actual expertise in performance like I do to be able to appropriately evaluate the training.

I haven't physically been able to attend Godspeed gym at the Hoover location however, I've been apart of the virtual classes and the coaches are amazing. They never leave you out and you get the same critiques and encouragement as you would if you were there in person. I love how the quality of support is A+ across the board.

I have had an amazing experience at Godspeed. I am closing on my second month of membership and have to say joining the Godspeed team has been one of the greatest decisions I’ve recently made. Amazing gym ran by world class coaches. Very comfortable, effective gym setup with quality equipment. The routines are challenging, and there is a focus on proper form, injury prevention and good-natured competition. Coaches are very observant of individuals' limitations and goals. For me this was a comfortable environment for a first timer!

Truly an elite sports training community....from the astroturf football field to the industries best equipment; convenient times/classes, knowledgeable and personable coaching... This place is a step above. Even with all of these things the coaching and leadership is what sets this place apart. They offer crossfit, weightlifting, instruction for high school/college/pro athletes, programming and evaluations for schools/teams, and so much more!

I joined Godspeed in March and was not sure what I'd gotten myself involved in....I mean .....CrossFit at my age? But after 5 months I am in love with it.....well except for the snatch....the summer challenge was motivating...the staff encouraging and very knowledgeable. The other members are so friendly and supportive. I look forward to my workouts, which are challenging and have helped me lose 10 pounds and gain overall strength. Thank you Godspeed Staff.
