Great facility! Routes change often and they are well graded.
Looking forward to climbing more and meeting more people to go climb with.
Best part is they change some of the routes once a week!!

Absolutely love climbing here! All of the staff are very friendly and super helpful with any questions you may have. I enjoy being able to use my membership all the time and the rate at which they rotate routes (even when my current project disappears the day I planned to finally finish it lol). I highly recommend anyone to climb here who is interested in getting into top rope, belaying, lead belay, or bouldering. They also offer special days for different groups of people (women, kids, modified climbing, students, etc). This gym is an amazing experience every time I go!

Have climbed here twice during short visits to Huntsville. I'm a 62 year old beginner and appreciated the instruction on harness fitting, auto-belay, and proper landings from boulders. During the first visit (and first time ever climbing), I made it halfway up a 5.8 before my fear of heights took over. I was determined on my second visit to make it to the top and I did! The staff was very nice and helpful, the facility was clean with had well marked courses. I plan to climb here whenever I visit Huntsville.

One of the employees seemed to have a bad attitude with me and she wasn't helpful. I attempted to take the belay certification test however they only test with ATC belay device and don't accept others such as a GriGri which is safer. The setting of the boulders was nothing spectacular and quite small especially considering the price for a day and to be a member. There is no A/C in the gym and it got very hot. The gym was overall pretty clean but that's really the only good thing about it. This is by far one of the worst gyms I've ever been too which isn't an exaggeration.

The grades are usually a bit soft compared to what I'm used to but the biggest disappointment is the lack of accessibility. We came in expecting to climb and in need of a full harness but found ourselves unable to climb due to lacking equipment. Coming from a gym that makes climbing accessible to everyone of all body limitations this was a huge disappointment.

I drive my sons up the wall!
High Point is a family friendly facility and a remarkable venue for climbers of all ages and skill levels, including first timers.
During 5+ visits, I have seen climbers ranging from 8 years old all the way up to late 60s/early 70s.
The staff is professional, courteous and eager to teach, the auto belay system is safe and easy to operate and the various walls present a challenge from the novice to the most experienced expert.
Plus, climbing is a phenomenal workout and a lot of fun.
All required gear, such as shoes and harnesses, are available for rental on site. Bring a small towel to dry hands and a chalk ball bag.
Highly recommend Huntsville High Point!

We had a great time at High Point. There were four of us in my group: 9th grade daughter, 9th grader's female friend, her friend's Dad, and me. Us Dad's are 50 ish to give an idea of age. Our staff member got us signed in and walked us through the different parts of the facility while explaining the different areas with great detail. Then we got to climbing. It was great. We were able to rest as needed and felt the 3 ish hours or so we spent there allowed us to get our money's worth. You'll definitely get a workout, but the pace is completely up to you. The auto-rappel contraptions made it so we could all climb together. Very enjoyable experience.

Been a member for around 2 years and I love it. The staff are very friendly and helpful, you are always greeted when entering the building. Has a regular gym upstairs, bouldering, or trad climbing. No food outside of some vending machines but you can leave and come back with no extra charge if you're hungry and it's surrounded by good places to eat or grab a cup of coffee. They regularly change the climbing routes so you won't get bored with the same climbs week in and week out. They also offer adaptive climbing for people with disabilities, parents night out, clubs, classes, yoga, and usually fun seasonal events like easter egg hunt climbs and lights out costumed climbs. There isn't a sense of judgement if you're new to working out/climbing. Unlike most workouts you're very motivated to finish something you started as you can see the finish line in front of you. The other members are very social and it's not hard to find someone to belay you on the other walls or chat up with between climbs. Feel free to hit me up if you see me and I'll be happy to belay, hope to see you guys on the wall.

I've been climbing since 2020, so take it with a grain of salt-however I have been to several gyms in different states and overseas-
My largest complaint is no loose chalk allowed: climbing is dirty, the holds are nasty, people get sweaty- I understand the gym probably wants to keep the chalk litter to a minimum, but I ended up basically using no chalk and making all the holds nice and sweaty because I only had loose chalk with me.
Secondly, the gym sets predominantly older feeling problems (boulders) which is cool to get to experience and climb on some nasty small holds up the cave, but I believe they really ought to have some more coordination moves /dynos to stay current.
I Aldo saw a poster that said something like $100 for 7 day pass, for reference you can get a membership for $60 /month at a gym in San Diego, (asylum) and $80/month in virginia beach/hampton roads/norfolk VA (Lattitude/send it)
Overall I enjoyed my time, but I would hesitate to give 4 stars
Staff was friendly and professional
Also, this is from a mainly boulders perspectivex, I rarely sport climb, and didn't this visit so I all I can say was that the sport area looked nice

I just wish the staff will stand there for a bit and watch you climb or demonstrate how to do it. Short version: Great homeschool class and camp programs with knowledgeable staff. Safety and cleanliness are at a high standard. Fees included all equipment for climbing your child will need. Classes are a great blend of structured learning with some unstructured peer climbing. Highly recommend. Price is reasonable and fair.
________________________________________________
Longer version as to why I like the homeschool class, below. For those looking for quality social classes for their homeschooled children, I had detailes our experiences here.
My son has loved the homeschool climbing class. He began as a very unconfident kid that wouldn't even attempt anything more than 4ft off the floor, or talk to the other kids. Now after his 6th 8 week course of the class he is a confident little spider! He also had developed great social skills and learned the joys of healthy competitive games.
If you are a homeschooling mom like me, this info is for you. The classes are 1.5 hours you can drop off or watch. When my son began he was so shy he needed me to stay. Now I'm able to drop off or wait in the car for some, quiet! π€£ The classes are structured in a way that both meet a P.E. requirement, and foster social engagement. Most of the class is about trying the new skill learned in the beginning of class lesson/skill instruction. That is usually about a 15min lesson. My son has made friends, especially with the kids that continue on with the classes. He has developed a love of the sport as a whole as well.
My son has ADHD. Other sports he tried he lost interest in quickly and it was a fight to complete the seasons. With climbing, not only is he working with and cooperating with the other kids, he has to focus on his own body's movements. Being ADHD he will lose focus. With climbing, if he loses focus on his body's movements or lets his mind wander to watching another climber, he will fall from his wall. This sport has taught him how to stay more aware and present in what his body is doing and his plan to the top of the wall.
Physically we have seen a drastic change in his strength and endurance. He went from not being strong enough to pull his body up a wall higher than 4 ft , to climbing the 75ft outdoor wall on harder paths each time. He is only 8, but the kid has actual bicep muscles. He will come home and climb trees and anything he can get a grip on. We have even added climbing holds to the trees in our yard. He removed the ladder to his bunk/desk style bed then had his dad install climbing holds in the wall. He has to climb the wall to get into bed.
The coaches are knowledgeable about the sport and the kids listen and like them. Recently there were some program changes. These changes are proving to make the program even better.
Best of all my son looks forward to this class every week! He has blossomed out of his shy shell. He will attempt anything. He has learned mind and body. I am a former public school teacher. I know how important having structured and unstructured peer interactions are to proper development. It is hard to find sport based homeschool classes that are both educational, physically challenging, and provide some unstructured peer play. This program does all of those things for my son. I highly recommend this class to any mom. Especially moms with kids that need that little extra physical and mental challenge. My son says it feels like a puzzle he has to solve every time he is on a wall.

They have a fair amount of space for toprope or sport climbs, though it does get busy at times. When you don't have a belay partner, there are several routes of varying difficulty with auto- belay. Their bouldering area is pretty decent, with plenty of room. The routes are changed pretty regularly, so it keeps things fresh. The staff is friendly, but the manager pretty much ruins it for me. He is extremely rude and I have never had a pleasant interaction with him. I was a member since this location opened... took a short break when everything shut down because of COVID. I have been back twice, but the interactions with the manager are enough to run it... I think I am done with this place.

My kids had a blast. Every person, climbing or not, needs to sign a waiver. They had equipment small enough for a 5 year old. While fun, kids still bouch off a wall so expect some bruises. Were there a few tears? Yes. Did my kids love it and constantly beg to go back? You bet. A place like this is safe and builds confidence. It's a winner for something to do out of the norm.

I always always have a great time here. I have been several times. However, this time I go to check in ( with my nephew ) and the lady cannot find where we have been there before. She kinda gets "smart" with us. She told us we had never been there and would need to go through orientation again. I tried spelling my name again, or suggested maybe under my nephews name etc to no avail. I told her I can show her pics of when i have been there. She said "Apparently not to this one." ( I was thinking, yes to "this" one.) I was handed harness only and i simply stated "it still includes shoes right?" (Was not being smart alec at all ) she said "well if you really had been before you would of known that." Then after like 2 hrs we are climbing and didn't realize my nephew took his shoes off. I yelled up at him to put them on please (he promptly came down and put them on). While he is putting them on the same lady comes over to tell us how "He needs shoes on ... the whole time." I said " Yea, i didnt realize he took them off just now, he's putting them on now. Thank you though." she reiterates: "Its a rule, he has to, like its a rule!" I smile and say "yes ma'am, which is why he's putting them on." Then she asked how old he was I said 9. She told us he's too young to be in the adult climbing room. I pointed to others much younger. She stated: "They're members." I told her every time I had ever been there we came into that room and asked if this was a new rule. She said "No." I asked: "So unless I am a member, and pay more, him and I both have to stay in the kids area the whole time?" Her- "yes." me- "ok so it's a money thing?" her- "yes." I smiled politely and said "ok." I told my nephew "climb one more wall,.. kiddie area only apparently." and we left. This sucks because I was wanting to have his birthday there and was thinking about a membership. I felt like this lady had it out for us from the beginning.

They took our money, gave us gear, give us an orientation, and then set us loose!.... but failed to tell us that there were summer camps there that were literally using all the appropriate lanes for my inexperienced children, effectively making it so that they were not able to climb. We went back to try to get a refund but we're told that that was not possible, the people helping us refused to give us their names (the boy insisting he was the acting manager due to the actual manager being on vacation was extremely unprofessional, and instructed everyone to refuse to tell us their names), or the names of the locations general manager. They were extremely rude and I'm extremely disappointed in the customer service we received. If you are the general manager please contact me, sorry your staff would not provide your name or contact information. Additionally the staff was rude to my elderly mother who, when inquiring as to how to get her money back from the vending machine which took her money without a product being purchased, was told that it was not their problem, and was not giving further information, telling her she should have used a credit card instead.
Besides my negative comments, the facility itself looked fine, was relatively clean, and would probably have been a great time for everyone involved if it wasn't for the ineptitude and rudeness of the staff.

Gym is clean and nice. I don't like the one homie that will tell you to use the weights quieter. Have been in there several times where a certain fellow will pop in and ask that people be quieter with the weights, when they were not being loud at all. The weights are on the second floor above the reception area, if you dont want noise in the main area, move the weight room. Besides that, overall not a bad gym

For reference, I have been to places like this all over the country. I have had memberships at places of basically the same design in Colorado and Texas.
My first month cost has never been anywhere near what this one costs. The cost for the first month here was $210, for me my spouse and 9 year old child.
Members are also still expected to pay the belay class fee.
We were not given a tour of the facility or any of its amenities. The staff was overwhelmed and very unproductive.
I hope a competitive organization can come to the area and put this one out. This establishment is taking advantage of being the only available facility in the area.

A very nice, easy-going climbing community with lots of walk-ins. The outdoor wall is also good fun.

Family friendly. Services and facilities cover the full spectrum from adults who want to try climbing for the first time through advanced climbers looking for a challenge, or a place to get in a routine to work out and improve your skills. Routes and boulders are reset regularly to keep it fresh. Also great for kids. Lots of ways exercise their bodies, challenge their little brains, and wear them out so they fall right to sleep at bedtime.

This was my first time doing this and the experience was good, but unfortunately Riley was not helpful in explainingβ¦ I think with something like this it should be explained to the best ability. She came off very condescendingβ¦. My party and I are not really interested in coming back here.

The rock climbing was fun, and I enjoyed the atmosphere; however, Riley was rude and insensitive to it being our first time there. She had a condescending attitude when we had questions or didnβt understand something.
I recommend she undergo some additional training on empathy or she should seek a role not in customer service. She didnβt want to explain anything and pointed us to βread it ourselvesβ. She made out experience negative and made us not want to return.

Cool spot, but the layout is weird. The outdoor climbing wall wasn't open, despite perfect weather. That takes a lot of routes off the table. The bouldering room is set up so that people end up loitering on the pads. A lot of overlapping landing space in the bouldering area, as well. Campus and moon board area is nice.

This place is the most incredible physical and mental challenge. It's a great workout with friendly staff in a healthy environment I learn something new every time I come here. Everyone is so helpful. Everyone wants you to learn to be better.

Learn to belay before going to this place. They want to charge you 30$ for the class. And if you try to go over simple knot tying with someone they'll tell you to stop and have them spend 30$ for the class. Most of the front desk guys are deuce bag college bros as well.

Great climbing gym, friendly staff, and good atmosphere among climbers. Plus the retail gear is often the cheapest price you can find once you factor in the member discount, with staff that actually knows about it because they use it. The weights are also better for free weights and bodyweight stuff than you'd find in most normal gyms.
Every climbing gym has their strengths and this one is one of the best at technical/compressed boulders or big moves, while their overhung routes are fewer with less mantles. On ropes, they are great at using their interior angles to set up technical stemming moves or cracks, which many gyms seem to neglect. And the kids area is honestly really fun even for adults, which makes it nice to being new climbers.
I do wish the free guest policy was more like once per month (instead of once per day bit it has to be a guest's first time) to help get more people into the sport, and I wish there was more emphasis on organizing outdoor climbing, but those are minor complaints.

The kids had a blast but it was hard for us parents to enjoy with them and take pics/video when we have to hook them up (I think they should have employees doing this) thankfully we weren't climbing as well or else it wouldn't have been worth it at all. Also, our 2 littlest had the gear where the clamps were all in their face and kept hitting them in the face especially on the way down. $25 per person... Not worth it but I'm happy my kids had fun.

My 11 year old contracted a staph infection on MLK of this year! People climb without shoes. They should make it mandatory to wear gloves. My 11 year old son has Staph infection on his hands and in his stomach.

Great atmosphere to be in. Absolutely loved the climbing. I flashed so many routes with very fair grading. I would not pledge my allegiance to any other gym. Staff is by far the friendliest and best looking of any location thus far.

The people that work here are nice, the routes to climb on are fun, the boulder room is filled with different climbing routes with different levels, the levels start at V1 and go up to V10+, V1 being the easiest and V10 being the hardest, the kids room is also filled with many climbing activities for the kids, I have never had a bad experience climbing here all the climbing routes are safe, and the place is covid safe, all the employees where masks and check your temperature before you climb.
I would give it 10 stars but unfortunately that's not an option.
Definitely a great place to climb an exercise!

The location has decent parking accommodations, and itβs clean from the outside in.
The staff was extremely friendly and patient about walking you through their whole process from waivers to gear. Theyβre all well equipped to answer questions effectively, and they assisted my kids with gear with no issue.
The climbing areas were fun and facilitated a wide enough range of difficulties that my son and I were both able to enjoy the process without feeling defeated or bored.
Overall, itβs worth it. Itβs not cheap, so I wouldnβt do it every day, but if you love climbing a membership and your own gear isnβt an outlandish value.

Went on Monday for our first time. Room was packed, no social distancing and almost everyone disregard the rules for wearing a mask. I spoke to the front desk and they just said, Well, what can ya do". Seriously, unclean only one thing of hand sanatizer for the entire building. Had to leave because of the rules were not informed and can't risk getting sick. They also didn't offer me a refund.

Avid outdoor climber.
Normal hours throughout covid. Be sure to bring and wear a mask.
Went through orientation and enjoyed going just myself.
Climbing options are seemingly endless.
Indoor/outdoor autobelay/bouldering/lead climbing.
Staff was polite, friendly, and respectful and the facility was clean and up to my safety expectations.
Got a 7day punch card for about 115$.
Would recommend and will be going back.
