Just a great old-school gym that gets the job done. Everyone was nice and they had a large variety of equipment. Strongly recommend this gym if you are sick of the overcrowded commercial gyms.

Owner’s son is rude and won’t hesitate to cuss you out for slamming weights. When I canceled my gym membership, he didn’t ask who I was or anything. Clearly has no clue how to run a gym if he willingly lets someone cancel with no questions asked.

This is in my opinion the #1 gym anywhere around. They are the best. You can go in and request a trainer to help you get going. They are equipped and knowledgeable to help with physical issues to get you back on track. Serious workouts all around you too. A gym for all.

Owners are very helpful when needed. Extremely clean gym and equipment. A place for serious work-outs but welcoming to wimps and beginners like me. Very reasonable rates and accept Silver Sneakers.

Stayed in Birmingham for vacation and needed an affordable gym to work out at. I was only there for 3 weeks so the 1 month no contract plan was great. My friend also was with me for just 3 days and it was $5 for a drop in visit so extremely affordable. The gym is family owned so the it’s not 24 hours, but the time worked fine for me on vacation. Closed on Sundays. The staff was extremely welcoming and friendly and we had a wonderful experience. The equipment is a little bit old, but it was much larger and more extensive than I thought it was based on pictures and other reviews. They have plenty of equipment, the free weight area was great, and a great open spot for HIIT and cardio training. My one critique would be the age of some of the equipment and lack of water fountain (they sell water for $1 per bottle though) but being a smaller family owned business, I understand equipment can get pricey, especially during Covid. Great experience though and will be back anytime I visit Birmingham.

This is the greated gym ever! Went to my first class after 4 months of virus shutdowns.
Trudi is an excellent and knowledgeable instructor. I had such a wonderful time. Iron Beach Gym is a the place to be!!!

Iron Beach Gym is a smaller gym, but that's the great thing about it. Everybody knows everybody and they're not afraid to help spot on a lift or offer suggestions on form. I've only been a member for about a month and, thanks to all the help I've received, I've seen huge improvements already.
