I’ve Been at gym since around the time this location was built, I have never had a dull moment here. Enjoyable environment, wonder staff, made great connections with some amazing people, wonderful quality workout equipment, aesthetically pleasing, and very friendly to new comers. I’d recommend this gym to just about anyone who enjoys a fit life style or anyone who is looking to start their own come up in the fitness industry of any type. Definitely worth a 5 star review!

My wife had went and joined this gym in April. She did not like the facilities , and that it only had one stand up tanning bed. Also the stair climber did not work. She did not ever go in May and was charged for May. Then on Monday, June 16th early AM, she was charged again. So we drove straight there and arrived at 9 am Monday morning. She was told she could not get the June fees back, because of some cancellation contract she had signed, when they say they have no contracts. My wife did not even ask for May, because she was too busy and never remembered to cancel. However, she should have been refunded for June. She turned in her key card, and told them she would not be returning. It is very clear they only care about their money, and not the customers. The previous and current gym she uses does not do automated payments, so she was not aware that Kramer's did. Just a simple refund to a customer who has already paid for two months she never used, sounds very reasonable. I was shocked that they refused. Like we were taking something and not paying. In essence they just took the money for nothing , and would not return it. If that is the kind of people you want to do business with, then go ahead. I just want everyone to beware that you need to cancel ahead of time to get a refund. Absurd. They had even charged her card for my daughter's membership as well, who also had not been back since April!!! Have a nice day and BEWARE!! They know no one reads the long contracts they say they do not have!!!

Kramers Gym is one of the best gyms I have been a member of. First and foremost the gym is a great lifters gym with every kind of free weight or equipment needed for a great workout and some decent cardio equipment too. At the time I train which is before work in mornings it is not too busy with a regular and friendly crowd of people. Kramer's Gym has a great legacy behind it with the many championships of Kramer and Kim Bergman. The new gym is great, with modern equipment and layout for appropriate equipment for training routines. Nice dressing rooms are provided with showers for those who wish to work out and then leave for work. Tanning is available for members as well as supplements. Key cards are available for 24 hour access. ...AND ....Kramer Bergman is available for personal training by appointment. Good gym with good people.

I have had memberships at Anytime Fitness, Benders, and Kramer's. I spent a year using each one of them and can confidently say that Kramer's gym is the best gym in Scottsboro.

If you are serious at all about lifting weights, this place is it. There is an actual selection of barbells to use (squat bar, deadlift bar, and regular power bars). The Nautilus hack squat machine is money. There are three actual power racks (Anytime has one and Bender's only has a Crossfit style rig with no actual safeties to use). Each rack has a platform, and there is a chalk stand (unheard of for commercial gyms).

If you are into Crossfit (this is not a real Crossfit gym), but they have all of the pieces of equipment that you need. Rowing, Air bike, skier, platforms, bumper plates, and an open space to do movements in.

Additionally, the cardio equipment is top notch and, again, very well maintained.

Pros:
- The owner uses his own gym (he actually has a passion for the gym and it is not just a cash grab)
- Equipment is meticulously maintained
- Several new pieces of equipment were introduced to the gym while I was there (the owner is using your membership money to improve the gym)
- Month to month contract with no commercial gym garbage
- Couples deal is rad

Cons:
- There are a lot of machines in a smallish space. Can get crammed.
- One regular toilet in the male restroom is not enough.

This is an excellent gym. I have worked out here for six years and have had a great experience with every visit. Kramer is very knowledgeable and always willing to share his knowledge about fitness. It is a very inviting place with a friendly atmosphere, plus it is a great gym for people with back injuries because he has a belt squat machine and other machines that allow you to work out without putting all of the strain on your back. Overall, this is an awesome gym that i would recommend to anybody!

Then rediscovering it as a 23 year-old college grad, and once again as a 31 year-old returning from the military. Between Kramer and wife, Kim, you will find a depth of Champion-level knowledge in powerlifting and bodybuilding, as well as D1 athletic preparation.
