Iβve now been to yoga and the sound bath. Both were amazing! I very much enjoyed my visits and the people. The sound bath is the coolest and most relaxing thing Iβve done outside of a 90 min massage. I plan to start attending regularly.

If you are looking for an amazing yoga class, try Clarissa's Energetic Flow on Wednesdays at 6 pm! Clarissa has an uncanny ability to feel the energy of the class and change it up each week. Somehow, you always get what you need, whether it is an upbeat pace that leaves you laughing or a slower flow to help you quiet your mind. This class is my #1 self care practice. It is a small class and everyone is always welcome!

When I first moved to Tuscaloosa a few years ago, I thought I'd never find a yoga instructor as good as the ones I'd had in the D.C.-area. Then I started taking classes with Clarissa, the owner of Painted Lotus, and she quickly became my favorite yoga teacher of all time! She is extremely knowledgeable, kind, and easy-going. I have been taking her classes (both in person and online) for more than four years and I feel like they are essential for my overall well-being.

I've been a yoga student practicing regularly at Painted Lotus Yoga and Wellness for three years, first on Zoom during the pandemic and then in person when the studio reopened. The studio is a warm and friendly space that enhances my practice and sense of community. Clarissa is a wonderful teacher who makes the Gentle Flow Yoga class welcoming and accessible to all regardless of age, physical ability or experience. I highly recommend it whether you're new to yoga or have been practicing for years.

I have observed Clarissa's kids yoga classes at my children's elementary school - the students are always engaged and having fun. The class allows kids to move and be creative, and the kids don't realize that they are building strength, confidence, and overall wellness in the meantime. We highly recommend PLYW youth yoga!

What a lovely and welcoming studio Painted Lotus is in a city that offers very little yoga. I was visiting family in the area and was surprised at how few yoga offerings there were in the Tuscaloosa area. However, I found Painted Lotus to be a top-notch studio. Clarissa, the owner, and her students were very welcoming to this out-of-towner and I quickly felt at home. Clarissaβs teaching style was meditative and playful at the same time. I forgot my mat back in Tampa, but all needed props and mats were available for use. Water and tea were also available. I look forward to joking Clarissa and her community every time I am back in town.
