I absolutely love Pilates of Madison. I've been going for about a year and a half, and it gets better every time. It's low impact, but very challenging. I love my private sessions and the classes are an absolute blast!! Everytime I'm done with a session I feel extremely accomplished . Amy is an AMAZING instructor that goes through every movement with you, and makes sure that you are moving your body and activating your muscles correctly to avoid injury and to get the most out of your session. I only have positive things to say about my experience with Pilates of Madison.

Jani B was the instructor that trained me and prepared me to be able to join reformer classes. She is OUTSTANDING - knowledgeable, skilled, patient and encouraging!! She demonstrates exercises so it is easy to understand, and she also cues well.
The entire center is well-designed with state of the art equipment. Every instructor I have had (Kristin O and Amy C) has been tremendous! Thank you Pilates of Madison for making me stronger and more flexible!

I started doing Pilates 2 1/2 years ago in Friendswood, TX and I've never looked back. It may sound cliche but Pilates really has changed my life! So, being quite happy with my Pilates routine, I was not thrilled when my husband told me we were moving to Huntsville, Alabama. One of my biggest worries was finding a pilates instructor that I could connect with.
When I met Amy, I was more than relieved--not only is she the nicest person but also very knowledgeable about the practice of Pilates. She really made me think about things such as alignment, breathing patterns to make my core work, having a connection in my body from head to toe, etc. I thought I knew what those things meant, but she really took the time to see if I was doing them properly. Needless to say, I felt the pressures of moving to a new place lessen a bit. I knew that I found a new home in Pilates of Madison with Amy:)

I came to Amy over 2 years ago searching for relief of my neck and back problems, and I canβt say enough to recommend Amy and her Pilates studio. I have been dealing with neck, back, and wrist issues for many years. Ever since I started with weekly reformer class, I feel so much better! Pilates is a perfect solution for me, as I am not particularly inclined to aerobic exercise. Amy does a wonderful job at setting a pace in class that is individualized to your needs. You would be amazed at how quickly you can increase the strength of your core muscles (abdomen, lower back muscles, etc.), improve your posture, improve your flexibility, and much more. Amyβs Pilates reformer class is very effective and pain free.

Amy is a wonderful Pilates instructor. She is very knowledgeable and shares her knowledge with her students as to what each exercise does for our bodies and the correct way to perform them getting the most benefit from the exercise. Pilates benefits me regarding strengthening, toning, and stretching. She has challenged me and I have performed exercises I did not realize I was capable of doing. Amy has a thorough knowledge of our muscle and skeletal systems. I am so glad I found Amy.

I started private lessons with Amy Cauwels, studio owner, a few months ago. I've been very pleased with the pace of the lessons, the organization of each lesson, and how well Amy customizes the approach based on your questions and physical capabilities. She is very knowledgeable about all aspects and levels of Pilates. I've attended multiple reformer classes and enjoyed each one. Amy challenges students to improve with each exercise. She is able to give pointers during the entire session without unnecessarily slowing the pace of the exercise. In addition, Amy is timely for appointments and conscientious about teaching Pilates techniques properly.

Every session starts with, "how does your body feel today?" and Amy really listens when you answer. Amy is knowledgeable and caring. And who knew exercise could be so much fun!
The information and techniques learned in class, can be applied to every day life. I feel stronger and more flexible than I have for a very long time.

I have been working with Amy for nearly 2 years now. I started going because I had gotten way too sedentary and had chronic back issues. The difference in my body, balance, strength and capabilities are beyond what I believed possible for myself. Whatever your fitness level, you can benefit from what Pilates of Madison has to offer.

I had decided it was time to improve my physical condition. A friend had recommended Pilates and thought that I Might benefit form classes.
I began attending private sessions with Amy and found her to be very knowledgeable of the body and the interworking of its parts.
Years ago I had a total ankle replacement and resolved that that the very limited motion was all I would have.Amy has worked with me and I am gaining considerably more motion and flexibility in the ankle.
Amy always works with your concerns and is ever mindful of what you need to improve your body.
Pilates has given me much more flexibility, improved my posture, made me mindful of my breathing and how I move.
I highly Recommend Amy as a Pilates Instructor

My week doesn't feel right without Pilates at Amy's studio! My posture has improved from my first sessions, as well as my flexibility. Since I have osteoporosis I have been concerned with strength training, and feel that I am on my way to improvements in that area, as well.
