I have been to several planet fitnesses in the last 5 years and this one is by far the most cleanest, organized and most friendly. I’ve talked to just about al the staff and I want to shoutout to the manager Salem and Mikayla for being very patient and kind and most importantly helpful. The machines are always kept clean the floor is always spotless and the bathrooms are always clean. If you want a clean and safe environment this is the perfect gym

The regional manager made the decision to ban me from this facility because apparently they allow their employees to treat everyone differently based on the time of day or their personal feelings. No one behaved like a professional. I have had a bad experience with McKayla and Salem. They caused an issue with me for going to use the restroom, after checking in with my membership. I came in earlier today and they allowed us to warm up our food and use the bathroom, yet when I returned I was questioned about my shoewear. The same slides I had on my feet when I used the bathroom earlier in the day, I have been told are now a problem for me to wear into the restroom. Never in my time using my Planet Fitness membership across the U.S. have I had such an absurd issue. I would understand if I was using the workout equipment but if I want to enter the gym in whatever I am wearing to shower or use the bathroom I do not understand that. Salem’s excuse for saying nothing to me earlier was that he was not paying attention because he was helping someone else. Not my problem. Consistency is key! Either way who cares this much…. NO ONE! I have video proof as well. The facility manager didn’t even contact me back himself. He has his incompetent employees relay the message to my husband. I hope to hear from corporate soon.

I have been with planet fitness approximately 4 or 5 years. I love it. The membership is so affordable and the benefits are amazing. They have every exercise machine you could want, massage chairs, red light therapy, and even tanning. The employees at the Albertville location always welcome you coming in and greet you going out. This is one of the better Planet Fitness gyms I’ve been to. We’ve been in different parts of NC and SC this year for work, but we live local to this Albertville, AL gym. I have to say I’ve been impressed with how well stocked and maintained this location is. The staff is nice and helpful and the gym is always clean. They have tons of cardio machines, weight machines, free weights, and more. Just note that this is not one of their 24/hour locations.

I’ve enjoyed this place and its amenities for a couple years now. They have now let an actual monster of a human in here. I’m not talking about his tank tops, or tattoos covering his face or his 6ft5” frame. He’s actually a scary human being . I tried to ask him if he was using the v bar to his right because I’ve seen him superset machines before . He screamed no at me as soon as I said excuse me and walked off. My wife leaves Walmart if she sees him in there because he’s such a scary human being. The police have run ins all the time. If you’re reading this , don’t believe the advertising . It’s getting to be like everywhere else. I do not want my wife here anymore. I’m actually afraid for the employees safety to approach him.

Bed 4 is a bronzing bed. Its had issues and the same 3 blown bulbs since the summer! Bed 6 is the other bronzing bed. Has has a blown bulb for some days now. Every time you tell someone, even when it’s the same person, they act like it’s the first time they have been told. Also, one of the arms doesn’t massage on the chair and I personally told them well over a month ago. FIX YOUR STUFF! We pay for fully functioning equipment.

They have regular massage chairs that recline with foot back and arm massage along with hydromassage ,tanning . They also have nice changing rooms and restrooms . There are items you can purchase there such as bags ,sweat bands, bottles , regular water bottles .plus they have water fountains as well .you need to download the app to get signed in every time you go . The people at the front desk walked me threw every thing which was nice. And I gotta say they have loads of treadmills,stair masters , Stationary bikes, Row machines , stretching center , They even have a designated For people who enjoy.
Crossfit workout, Multiple workout machines for your forearms. Your biceps, your back muscles, your chest. You does your caves, your glutez.
Every time I've been I've never really had a problem with any kinda harassment. There are sanitary stations with trashcans, paper towels and a sanitizing spray.
For everyone who wants to use it and you can get all this.
For just $9 a month, which is the best membership I've. Gotten so far. I will say, however, you have to upgrade from the $9 a month to I think the 12 or 15 in order to use the massage chairs and tanning beds. But overall it's just a average workout place. It's it's a good place to go.

My 1st night here & I just layed in the Bronzer Tanning Bed & I have never been in a better Tanning Bed! It was AWESOME & then I sat in the Massgae Chair for 10 minutes & it relaxed my body so well! I visited here for 2 days giving the benefit of the doubt during the second day but the floors were still filthy in the restrooms & showers, the toilets still had the same poop smeared under the seat and inside the bowls, the showers still had the same trash (various wrappers and such as well as a soda bottle on the rail in the handicap shower) and smashed soap bars on the floor as well as the same shaving razor on the floor...I have been a member off and on with planet fitness since 2013 in California and Texas before now in Alabama, being a truck driver and a tow truck driver I have visited MANY different planet fitness locations and this one has the worst bathrooms and showers I've personally seen at planet fitness, be weary of the Albertville, Alabama location...the workout area seems kept up but may just be looks

Terrible service, they ask for your bank account and automatically charge you money payments that you don't even know they are charging, and when you ask for explanations for the charge the staff is incompetent. They really steal your money for phantom payments that are not even real, there is an initial payment and then more and more and the cold water showers, the ceiling leaks!! They charge you several times during the same month, they steal your money, and they continue deducting the automatic monthly payments, terrible, the worst!

First, I love this gym, I love the staff. They are all so friendly. However, with the way I work, the weekends were the most convenient days for me to workout and later evenings. They are only open 3- 24 hour days now and it’s very disappointing. The times I can go are times when they are closing up. It makes me want to go somewhere else and pay a little extra just to have the 24/7 access. I understand it may be a staffing issue but still, it’s disappointing. Again, great staff, great place!

They had water leaking from ceilings near tresdmill I was on machine 45 mins one and 45 mins the other not one staff member walked the gym area. I think it's in the rules and machines were not as clean as previous visits. I hope they didn't lose the female GM I seen many months ago. but she was very good unfortunately it's been a few months since I've been back here to visit and I noticed a small difference in cleanliness.

Cancellation policy is ridiculous. I mailed my cancellation letter & somehow they never received it. I called & spoke with the manager about it, who wasn’t any help at all. He said they are going to continue charging my card on autopay until I mail them ANOTHER cancellation later. Hopefully they actually receive it this time. I’d really hate to drive all the way to Albertville with gas as high as it is, just to sign a piece of paper. They need a better system.

I have been going here for 2 months now because it’s a really affordable gym and $25 cheaper than my old gym. It’s honestly more of beginners gym so lifting isn’t something you can do here. (They ring that awful bell)
-Good Things-
Affordable and really easy to use equipment and workout machines. Some of the staff is amazing and always helping customers. It’s kept clean and sanitize (a few exceptions)
-Bad Things-
They could do better job with how the ceiling drips water and they sometimes have buckets to catch it. One of the bathrooms in the women’s room has a hole in the walls. (Which is corporates fault)

The woman's bathroom was dirty, and tanning beds aren't clean in the morning until they put you in them. No one is walking around cleaning machines or making sure the gym is clean anymore.
