Machines are dated, but OK. Tanning beds here are on a 3 minute delay, once you get in and thats ONLY if the staff remembers to start the bed. Tanning is how I treat myself after a good workout. Tried that today and laid there for over 5 minutes for the bed to start before getting dressed, going to the desk and being told sorry, we forgot to start the bed... BOTH mine and my husband's. Leaving irritated rather than stress free!

This is my hometown gym and I have to say im pretty lucky. The staff is always nice and talkative. The restrooms are always clean and private. The equipment is well taken care of. All in all a good gym to visit often.

Terrible place. Don’t go here!! I went in and waited over 15 minutes for the blonde up front to get done with her phone conversation to even acknowledge me. She was on her phone the entire time and treated me as an inconvenience just trying to sign up for a membership. The entire time I was there she was on her phone and I saw her ignoring several other members as well. She was loudly speaking about inappropriate things and talking badly about members of the gym to where everyone could hear and it made me extremely uncomfortable. I don’t want to go somewhere where I’m going to be treated so poorly. There were other staff members who were kind when speaking to me, but I highly recommend going somewhere else as this woman completely ruined my experience.

I travel across America and this has to be the worst planet fitness I've visited. Only 1 toilet worked in the men's restroom. In the middle of my shower within 2mins the water went dead cold. The massage chairs are a mystery, I advise chair #1. Do better Cullman Alabama. Very disappointed.

Do not sign up online expecting that you can cancel online, I moved and I don't have a planet fitness where I live. I do have one about 20 minutes from my work. I tried to go there and cancel my membership and was told you have to go to your home gym to cancel. So I am being held captive by planet fitness, I would highly suggest that if you don't want to be held to a monthly membership that you can't get out of go somewhere else.

This location is terrible the facility is decent and staff is friendly but the owner is cheap, this is the hottest gym I've ever been in the locker rooms are so hot you can't get dressed and the gym areas are so hot everyone is on the verhe of passing out this is a lawsuit waiting to happen but the owner won't allow the manager to make the proper adjustments to run the facility appropriately, I suggest going to the aquatic center,from talking to everyone that works out there most people are leaving this gym

After explaining to the worker my to sons where going take a shower at the same time as there dad told her 1 was special needs had go with him she said he only bring one guest she nice enough let him go but I shouldn't had use special needs part more then one saying lawsuits but since she was nice at end I let get go intell 2nd one happened they where no chairs in shower room I have run across the hall just a towel as bigger girl and swalling legs I should be able sit down I hate that you go gas station truck stop they have chair not a gym I was in shower crying due to pain and embarrassed I not be back understand special needs child has give a shower by dad is not a guest one time explain should be enough

I work out sometimes but I mainly go for the tanning. The equipment is great but the tanning beds are the best in Cullman. Monica is my favorite person. I fell asleep once in one of her beds and she wasn't mad at all. She was concerned and then we laughed it off after I apologized profusely. She was worried after she knocked and I didn't answer. They treat you like life long friends and I tell everyone not to waste your money tanning anywhere but here!!! Like I said the equipment is amazing also!!! This is my FAVORITE place to go after work. The vibe is just amazing and the staff are so friendly!!!

Great gym, love the layout. Even the shower/dressing area is very functional and convenient. Only improvement needed is to put a trash can in the large entrance area since there aren't any receptacles outside. Otherwise you have to carry disposables all the way to the Bathroom. Trey was the only front desk person who was receptive and respectable unlike the others who argued and debated forever with every ridiculous excuse. Especially Sunday night staff, the worst. Not worth the 5 star rating I initially gave. Now live with 3. Corporate will provide trash cans to the franchise gyms when asked, it's not difficult.

Nice staff, very clean, but as a truck driver a good shower is very much appreciated, everytime I use the showers the water is not consistently hot, it's hot for a few minutes, then freezing cold a few, back and forth..

The gym itself is pretty decent, clean and spacious. However some of the employees and policies are draconian. Today a single toilet overflowed in the bathroom. Water on the floor only in one stall. Other stall and urinals both functional. Employee hangs up caution tape and tells me the whole bathroom is closed and I cam go next door to Tractor Supply and use their( for customers only ) bathroom. No apology, no explanation of why every toilet was unavailable when 3/4 of them worked and there was NO active leak or danger. This is why I bought a home gym, so I cam quit this place because it's simply sub par.

Great spot to visit. The staff are very friendly and the facility is always clean or in the process of being cleaned. Paper towels and Spray disinfectant is provided at numerous locations around. Equipment is kept in good shape with multiples of almost conceivable device. Everything from cardio treadmills to free weights as well as universals and specialty work out rooms makes this a great place for a workout. The sheer size is also noteworthy in that they have it arranged where although it might busy its just so big that theres still plenty of room.
The Black Card area (extra $) has several tanning beds as well as four hydro massage and two massage chairs.

I will definitely be going back.

On feb 28th I was verbally accosted, yelled at, and cursed at by some random older man at this planet fitness. When I got up to go and report it to the manager he followed me and started screaming and yelling "TATTLE TAIL TATTLE TAIL Monica that woman right there just wants to tattle on me" (mind you this is a guy in his 50's). He yelled at the manager to get her attention in which she walked over to him and attempted to calm him down. She had calmed him down I guess and told me he wanted to apologize in which he never did because I guess I was supposed to go up to him and ask him for my apology. He had the courage to yell at a random stranger and throw a tantrum yet didn't have the courage to seek them out and apologize.
Ultimately, the excuses of "Oh he might be having a bad day" and "Well I know him and he's actually a pretty good guy" was given. Regional manager also said nothing could be done and that staff speaking to him is sufficient. Just thought I'd share how they deal with people screaming and yelling at others in the gym. The gym itself is fine hadn't had any issues up until then, but if you are ever in a situation where someone is being hostile, angry or just making you uncomfortable all that other person will most likely get is a talking to and be told that they need to voice their concerns/opinions with the staff or manager. Just wanted to share this experience.

I didn't appreciate having skinny girls wearing inappropriate workout clothing when it clearly states at front desk what you cannot wear.
The very same skinny girls gave me dirty looks as I was working out. I thought it was supposed to be a no judgement zone. I was someone else's guest & she said it would be ok, but it wasn't. That's why i just use bands at home.

They have become too automated and no customer service. I hate the new system for signing up for tanning and massage chairs. It rarely scans the barcode on my phone and frequently times out when I use my cell number. Plus they only have one. So if you go at a peak time you have to wait in line just to sign up. It's no longer worth paying for the black card membership. One of the massage chairs has been broken for awhile. Same story with the hydromassage chairs. The kids "working" behind the counter had rather stand there and talk to each other than help paying customers. I canceled my membership because this place has become more of a hassle than a convenience.

Judgement free gym with super clean equipment and very friendly trainers/ employees. I'm obsessed with the hydro massage, I've had pretty bad neck pain from sleeping in a recliner and the hydro massages have completely rid me of all pain. I highly recommend, the only thing I haven't tried is the tanning beds but they always look so clean and anytime I see someone walk out of a room, there is always an employee going in behind them cleaning/sanitizing the room.
