This to me is one of the earliest closing locations I’ve ever encountered but that wasn’t a dealbreaker at all. Super clean facility. There are some very nice & helpful ladies to greet you when you arrive at Planet Fitness! They maintain a clean environment with comfortable temperatures for working out. The exercise machines are easy to use. They have many TV’s to view while you are working out. And my husband & I have met so many nice people there & some have become our dear friends!

I would have left zero stars if possible. Absolutely horrible people. IMPOSSIBLE to cancel an account. Repeated attempts result in nothing but more charges. Unless you want to overpay for the rest of your life stay away. These people are liars and thieves - you have been warned.

EDIT: Several months later, after having mailed a certified letter demanding cancellation - STILL the account is not cancelled. THEY REFUSE TO CANCEL AN ACCOUNT NO MATTER WHAT. I have never even been to Gadsden AL. NEVER. I signed up for Planet Fitness online for a location in Dawsonville GA. Planet Fitness placed me in Gadsden regardless. I have been charged now for 6 months and still have NEVER BEEN to Planet Fitness. RUN FROM THESE PEOPLE THEY ARE CRIMINALS.

The Gadsden location is great. The team members are always so nice and very helpful. I've been a member almost 1 month now. However this is one of the best gyms I ever became a member at. Every time it rains, buckets are needed. Wall covering coming off and has been duct taped with blue duct tape.

New manager has no clue regarding customer relations. I wanted to discuss the problem with TV's (4 don't work and fox news is never on). He said "I'm the boss" and you need to listen to me!

No more PF! Franchisee hired an inept individual for the manager position. Plenty of other gyms available in the area.

I pay a subscription for a service that is supposed to be everything included “in that subscription “ so charging me a dollar for a sticker to go over my eyes in order for me to tan kinda pisses me off. I love the feeling of being with friends. The employees are excellent. They greet me everyday I enter the gym and are always available for help. They keep the gym so clean that I clean up after myself when I'm finished. They encourage me and the other members to come back and they help me find my lost jewelry. Also, Caleb and Allie work extra hard at deep cleaning the steps on the stairmaster and dusting under equipment and vents. All the employees are great. We are on first name basis and that has helped me with my "stay fit" journey.

My wife and I have been a member at this location since 2022. The local staff and the other members are why we keep coming back. They are what make it a great place to work out. The current staff does a good job of keeping the facility running as best as it can even though this club has been without a local manager for a while now.

Unfortunately, the current out of state owners need to really step up and make a greater effort to maintain what's in their control and pressure building owners to maintain what's not in their control. The roof has been leaking for years, and they have not maintained the lighting on the gym floor along with other facility issues as pictured. The tanning beds, which used to be maintained frequently, also need the bulbs replaced.

If the current owners are not interested in maintaining this location, they need to relinquish the franchise to someone who will.

I love the staff here .Very friendly from day one. .Mark is extremely helpful and always working & cleaning , and running the front as well . Anything I need , even while extremely busy, he always stops to address it and not just me of course. The only reason for 4 out of 5 🌟 is the tanning bulbs could be better. I’ve been. Member since they were out n the mall taking applications they weren’t even thru building it.a lot has changed since then… when things quit working they got fixed right away; now they don’t the aqua bed has been broken down a LONG time. Whenever it rains they got buckets sitting everywhere to catch the rain , folks sit around on the equipment & talk on there phones, sometimes there’s No paper towels so nobody can wipe the equipment down when they get off.one equipment the peg won’t go in 40 lbs been that way a long time. Sometimes the bathroom is messy. They said they ordered some more t-shirts & ask bout them now & then…… when it got to 4 weeeks & they weren’t there quit asking. Awhile back it was pitch dark out in the parking lot &. Ask If anybody had called the Mall office & told them …nobody knew.. so I called them & the day there were Lights everywhere they should be There’s other things wrong but they have been that way so long they’ve become normal. There used to be 2 people working every evening now there is just one & been that way along time .That person has to do Everything! Some times there’s nobody at the desk when I get & never do see them until I’m leaving…… i saw somebody come up to the desk & look around & not see anyone so they got them a drink out of the in cooler…. Come to find out the only
working was cleaning the bathroom & not before needed it .as I said….alot has changed since planet fitness first opened.

I had to cancel my subscription to this place when I lived out of state, when they told me I could only do it in person or by sending a notarized letter, otherwise I was on the hook to continue paying $10 a month when I was 500 miles away. When I informed them I would be putting a stop payment on my bank account, the manager Bobo (wth kind of name is Bobo?) threatened me with collection agencies. I don't recommend this dog of a company to anyone who doesn't like getting manipulated or ripped off.

This is were to Go! I was into crossfire 8n Fla for several years. Now 77 and looking for strengthening and overall conditioning. The staff is Incredibly helpful and encouraging. Try out all the equipment and decide what I s your best fit. They live by the Planet Fitness Code. I v will be going back and hopefully g8nd a plan that fits my budget. Was going to join UNTIL they told me I couldn't use a Card (Bank/Credit), I HAD to use my Bank account#/routing#.
I'm not giving ANY company access to my Bank account.

Fortunately I found WILLMORE TOTAL FITNESS (multiple locations & members are welcome at ALL of them) who provides all the amenities WITHOUT needing access to my personal Bank account info - you can sign up with your Bank card!!

In these days of hacking, I prefer my Card as I can set limits on it.
Recommend you check them out BEFORE you go with anyone who insists on access to your Bank account.👍

I love this place; however there is room for improvement. The staff is very friendly and always cleaning something.

There are 5 things that would improve this Planet Fitness: 1) add a swim spa-pool. That would be great for people with joint and bone disorders. 2) a sauna. That would be wonderful for our limbs. 3) punching bag and a true workout. 4) offer a space where people can go to put yoga mats and perform Yoga. And last but not least 5) a real personal trainer. This program has been discontinued. In Texas at Planet fitness they had 3.

Otherwise I love PF. I workout 5 days a wk here. I go early mornings so it is not crowded. Everyone here is friendly staff and customers. There is a bond with fellow exercisers. Clean, fun, safe, and I am grateful for them being so close. Now, with the new grocery store and Starbucks I have it made. Ask for TC if you need a membership.

Tired of going and EVERY time there are people in the 30 min workout area hanging out on machines, leaving their personal items on the steps used for the cardio, making you wait because they need to do "1 more set".. So I've been a member here for about 3 years and the staff is kind to everyone providing a friendly atmosphere for patrons to work out as it says in a judgement free zone. The worst. Will never go. Their big thing is to not discriminate against people but they sure did discriminate against my husband. He's a 300lb man and a heavy weight body builder. So his build is large to say the least. He got told that people would find him too intimidating to be working out there and he needed to try to find somewhere else.
I was shocked to hear this. Of course this happened a few years ago but I still refuse to use them because that's not right. People go to the gym to work out and get their bodies right, not be judged by their progress. We use Wilmers and they are awesome! Very friendly to everyone. I would recommend them over this place.

Updating my review. Workers are kind, gym is clean, but I'm staying to see a decline in equipment upkeep. The hydromassage bed has been broken a while. Some sanitizer stations have been broken for years. A stepper is missing from the circuit with no acknowledgement so you just feel weird trying to complete it. Took me a while to figure it out. And no one moderates 30 minute circuit area. People are being more and more rude and just taking as long as they want on those machines and someties still don't move right away when you explain how it works and that you need it. It would help if staff explained that so that everyone is on the same page. Would be even better if they assigned a staffer to man that area. I'm hoping this review is noticed, if no changes I'm going to Willmore who are truly 24 hours. The only thing PF has over them is the circuit so no reason to stay if you can't do that😒
