It states in my membership that I’m allowed a free trainer…. There is no trainer at the Muscle Shoals,AL facility. I was told I would have to drive to another location if I wanted a trainer. That in itself has Planet Fitness going against the contract I signed. If our membership includes a free trainer why do I have to drive out of my way to be able to experience all that my membership is supposed to offer me?

Great place to go for all your fitness needs! They have plenty of machines to use that are simple to work. They have treadmills, bike, rowing, and stairs to get in cardio. You can also use the free weight section to build muscle. Dont forget the massage chairs and tanning beds 😄

Terrible Gym & Management is POOR, Lacks Mgmt & Customer Service Skills.

Employess gather at the desk & in the office, never walking the gym floor looking to help or noticing unsafe gym practices! I could have personally used some help but no one was around! No instruction to members who improperly use the equipment! I saw a girl using treadmill and working out with weights in her stocking feet! NO FEET PROTECTION!

YEAH NO JUDGEMENT ZONE BUT THE FLAMBOUYANT MANAGER JUDGED ME WITHOUT LISTENING TO WHAT I HAD TO SAY BUT INSTEAD BLEW A SITUATION OUT OF PROPORTION INTO A MUSHROOM CLOUD, DIALED 911 AND HUNG UP FOR NOTHING! A REAL DRAMA QUEEN! THE MGR WASN’T EVEN SMART ENOUGH TO KNOW THAT A 911 HANG UP GRTS AN AUTOMATIC “RAPID RESPONSE!” THE ONLY PERSON OUT OF CONTROL, RAISING HIS VOICE AND OVERREACTING WAS “THE AHEM MGR!”

This all stemmed from me being kind and wanting to help another member and if this Mgr knew anything about management he would have defused what was essentially a docile situation by listening to both side! INSTEAD HE ESCALATED THE SITUATION, SAID HE DIDN’T WANT TO HEAR WHAT TRANSPIRED FROM AND ON TOP OF THAT CANCELLED MY MEMBERSHIP FOR NO REASON OTHER THAN GENERICALLY A “CLUB VIOLATION!”

I’ve been training for decades and “I WILL NEVER SUGGEST PLANET FITLESS TO ANYONE ON THE CONTRARY FOLLOWING THIS EXPERIENCE I WILL DISCOURAGE ALL AND SUGGEST CRUNCH OR OTHER GYMS!”

Secure 24/7 access. Incredibly fun staff including Bella, Lane, and Mason. I always enjoy chatting with them before my workout.

The gym and equipment is constantly being cleaned and sanitized.

The locker room and showers are always sparkling, and well kept.

With a black card membership, you get the perks of a great workout, and the luxury of multiple tanning beds, a total body red light therapy, Hydro massage beds, and massage chairs. You receive a discount on any drinks that are conveniently located by the front desk. And you’re allowed to bring a guest each visit.

With a plethora of different types of gym equipment, you’re never waiting in line to use any particular machine.

More than enough televisions to watch your favorite show while you’re exercising.

The water fountain offers a spout for your refillable bottle.

This is one of the best gyms I’ve ever visited, and I appreciate all of the employees making it enjoyable, fun, and friendly.

I’ve used planet fitnesses all over the US. I travel a lot, not once have I seen an employee sit on the counter and eat while talking on her AirPods until today. Very rude, holding beds etc.. would not recommend while this employee is there

13 tvs and half of them are on Fox news. Staff says the owner doesn’t allow them to change the TV channel. Seems a bit biased.

False advertising, not $10 a month and $1 to start. They also charge a $39 per person annual fee and charge that when you start too. They also do not have any other options to pay, but yo give them direct access to your bank. Don't be fooled by the commercials. The receptionist was also VERY RUDE.

Planet Fitness is the only gym where I have ever felt completely comfortable. The women's locker room is very clean and accommodating with showers and a LOT of lockers. The Hydra lounge is a real treat. The red light therapy is simple and something I just added to my regiment. The tanning beds and booths are each in very spacious rooms. You clean everything yourself except the bathrooms which means there are cleaning stations located throughout the entire facility including the tanning rooms and Hydra lounge area. I love working out here and the staff is always polite and willing to help.

Just moved here and started tanning at the muscle shoals location. I love the beds and the staff is very nice, however, it’s super frustrating not having a table to set my things on in the tanning rooms. You can’t sit stuff on the chair because it slides right off the back and I’d really rather not put my things on top of the trash can or the floor like I’ve been doing. Please please please put some sort of table in the rooms and also a mirror so people can make sure they don’t look like a mess when they leave the room. 😭

I go to planet fitness in Chicago. And for membership it's ten bucks a month unless you want to upgrade it to twenty bucks a month then you get a few extras. But they have everything you could pretty much want in the house club.unless you want a hot tub or swimming pool then you should go to a major huge fitness center but this is perfect for what I'm looking for.

I’ve been to many wonderful gyms in the Shoals and really like this one too! Everything is so clean and updated from the spacious locker rooms, Black Card Lounge, and equipment. I really enjoy the Total Body Enhancement (red light therapy machine) and hope that this is kept in the gym here! There are 2 or more of most strength machines, which is awesome, and tons of cardio equipment. There are 6 stair mills so you never have to worry about waiting for one to open even during the busy 5:30 hour. I had an issue recently but the manager was quick to talk to me about it and resolve it.
