I personally will not ever recommend this place to anyone horrible service and staff As soon as I walked into the location I was discriminated upon and denied service as a black card member that’s been with planet fitness for years I am also a truck driver so my load was due not to far away to think as a member I never had problems utilizing my membership at any planet fitness but as soon as I walked into this location with my 14y old and son to use the bathroom I was told I can’t come into the location to use to the bathroom now I understand if I was using my membership to work out and equipment with kids but just to use the bathroom as a member and take a hot shower what my black card benefits is for I definitely reported this location to corporate this was pure discrimination as soon as I walked through the door and denied service exp as a truck driver I would hate for anyone to ever come to this location

I’m a truck driver so parking is the first concern, this location is a no go, definite signs all over. I usually park in the back and walk and here they even have signs in the back. I went in to try and hurry but it wasn’t worth the worry so I left. Gym looked nice though but since I’m not allowed to use it it’s a zero star. Unfortunate that we’re out here busting our butt and at the end of the day just want a hot shower and lift some weights and this is how we’re treated. Thanks a lot, avoid this location

Great location, it’s never packed! Plenty of machines as well! Truly judgement free here! They clean hourly from what I witness, and most people clean after themselves! Showers are usually good! Although, the shower heads in the women lockeroom are missing!! I looked it up and apparently there are showerhead thieves! Hoping that this location will get some shower heads in soon, I typically use them after my workout! Overall, 10/10!

Still have existing issues with people occupying seats on machines to text on their phones. If you need to text, step aside and let people continue working out. The gym is not a social texting site. I was there about a month ago and I forgot my phone the gentleman took my number at the front desk and saw that it was a black card member, I was working out police came in and said that two women in the gym we're afraid of me I didn't I don't even know these people I just how many truck driver I drive all 48 states. So the representative called the cops on me and have them escort me off the premises I was so embarrassed. I mean you can't just go by the words of what people say, I think the young man was unprofessional it was just trying to satisfy his white customers even though he was black. I just think planet fitness needs to evaluate their employees and how they would handle certain situations.

For how much(by that, I mean how low the pricing is) the membership is, it is a great place to get in a workout and get in shape. I went tonight as a guest to my colleague's Black Card Membership, and I was pleasantly surprised by the quality and sheer number of workout machines available. There were no waiting times on any of the machines, and the members all took care to wipe down after each use. I will probably join this gym as a regular member soon.

I have since joined the gym as a regular member and have completely changed my lifestyle. After about 6 months of regular exercise and proper diet, I have lost over 40lbs and have built lean muscle. Highly recomend Planet Fitness for especially those people who see most regular gyms as an intimidating place that is full of judgemental people...

This was THEE BEST Planet Fitness. Whoever made the decision to make the sink be not automatic I hope you sleep well every night knowing you made a great decision. This was also the only Planet Fitness that had a trashcan in the bathroom. The showers had room for me to set my bag down without it getting wet. I wish this was my primary location.

I’M A TRAVELER. BOTH COLUMBUS GA LOCATIONS ARE CLEANER THAN THIS ONE. THE LOCKER ROOMS NEED A DEEP CLEANING I WOULD NEVER TELL STAFF, VERY NON CONFRONTATIONAL AFTER 20 YRS OF WAR GAMES. STAFF MORE WORRIED ABOUT GOING HOME THAN MONITORING CIRCUIT TRAINING WHICH IS SO UNFORTUNATE. A 30 MINUTE WORKOUT TAKE HOUR AND A HALF TO CLEAN MACHINES MEMBERS USE AND DONT CLEAN OFF. 90% NOT DOING THE EXPRESS WORKOUT. IT S A RED N GREEN LIGHT SYSTEM, WHICH IS NULL N VOID. AND TO ADD INSULT TO INJURY THE SAME MACHINES ARE OUT IN THE GYM. MAYBE TIME TO CHECK OUT CRUNCH THIS IS RIDICULOUS. INSTEAD OF A AUTOMATED DISINGENUOUS RESPONSE; HOW ABOUT MAKE YOUR EMPLOYEES DO THEIR JOB. IT TAKE 5 MINUTES TO COME AROUND PERIODICALLY AND CHECK THE SECTION, THEY DON T DO THE CAIRDO STEPS MAKE THEM LEAVE. MAKE THEM PUT DOWN THEIR PHONES SHEESH! They don’t monitor the 30 minutes work out Circuit Training. Which mean people using machines and not cleaning them. So my 30 minute workout take a hour n half; cleaning and waiting to use the machine. 👿Then the locker room always filthy.

I've worked out in over 50 Planet Fitness gyms across the southeast, but while passing through and using Opelika's on Friday, I actually heard somebody use the Lunk Alarm for the first time in years. I find it very disappointing that the gym is not opened during the posted hours. I thought I would come on a Sunday morning before church at 7am only to be surprised that it was not open. I waited until about 7:45 but nobody ever showed up to open the gym. I witnessed at least 15 other customers show up to be disappointed as well.

What a great atmosphere to work out in! You are always greeted when walking in. There are plenty of machines to choose from even when it is busy! Everyone is respectful. They have multiple stations so you can wipe down your machine after using it. The only thing I wish they did differently was recycle!

Given a choice I don't exercise. Too much work and I get bored but not here. The equipment is fun and there are so many choices. I'm not in shape but I hope to get there, or healthier anyway. Very bad experience with this unprofessional staff, yesterday I had to return 150 mi, because they didn't want to stop my membership fee. They asked me to write a letter about the reason for the suspension of membership fees, and all this in addition to emails, messages and applications. In the end, I came to the gym and paid the membership fee for the current month and stopped the membership fee, only to be charged a fee tomorrow when I closed my account!
