When I started Planet Fitness 2 1/2 years ago, I was a 360lb lazy man from numerous knee surgeries and eventually replacements...I had never considered joining a gym because, as I said, I became extremely lazy from immobility...but I did it anyway....and I loved it...in one year, I lost over 100lbs, and it eased the pain in my legs, dropped my cholesterol and reversed my diabetes...of course, when the pandemic started, I did not return for quite awhile due to changing hours and, of course, health concerns...now I've started back since the hours have become convenient again...I have a goal of 50 more lbs to lose, then I'll start the toning...I love Planet Fitness...and I highly reccommend it to everyone...staff is phenomenal and keep it clean and spotless!!!

Planet Fitness is one of the most affordable and conveniently located gyms in the Columbus and Phenix City areas. I always enjoy the HydroMassage Beds and Massage Chair after my workouts. I have been a member for years and will continue to workout at Planet Fitness in the future.

Payed dues on the 17th of July, then get told my membership cannot be used on the 19th because of unpaid dues...from 14 months ago... apparently?!? I feel scammed and will not be returning. Hope trying to double charge me was worth losing a 3 year member. Of course I went to management and they did nothing so I'm leaving a review here for the owner to see and try to fix but he's just gonna say that I should go talk to a manager.

10/10 customer service. They responded so quickly and helped me with an issue I had with a different location. The manager made sure to contact me immediately and my problem was solved right away. They didn’t have to do that but they did and that says a lot about their customer service. I would definitely recommend this location.

Went to the gym yesterday. Seen the young lady with a black shirt talking with a patron. He was complaining about something. She laughed at him a few times when he was complaining. He then said I will contact someone higher and then started walking toward the door. Then, as he was walking away, she yelled out to him I don't care who you call and started laughing at him again. I was in shock, couldn't believe the immaturity of whom I guess is a manager or assistant manager. Should of learned my lesson about going to this PF. It is the worst PF ever.

While the men's changeroom/washroom/showers could use some professional cleaning and maintenance, that is barely a glitch to the otherwise epic environment. The gym itself is thoroughly maintained and they address any malfunctioning equipment immediately. The staff are awesome and they deal with any overly aggressive members in a courteous and efficient manner. Easily the best part of my day.

I’ve been going to this gym for a while now, and every single time I walk in, the staff barely acknowledge me. The check-in process is slow and frustrating — it consistently takes more than 10 minutes, which cuts into my workout time. For a place that’s supposed to motivate and support its members, it feels anything but welcoming. I expected better customer service, especially from a gym that charges this much.

By far the best place to workout the staff is always friendly! I love the energy in there! Lots of equipment, always cleaning! Just an fyi truckers with memberships....Usually we can park our big truck at Planet Fitness across the country but not this one. Property owner said he was going to call the cops on us. So we left...marked as a no go. Alabama and parking is horrible for truckers. We avoid this state as much as possible.

Look I don’t know this new person I don’t want to know him you guys changed management so much seems like no point anymore to even care why I’m there to work out and leave minding my business. I will say though I Liked Rashawn he was cool even approached me and introduced himself which made me feel more comfortable at the time also this Place was always clean and friendly till he left. Your employees like their phones, they’re always on them when I walk in or talking to each other sometimes acknowledging people while sitting around.
I usually start on a treadmill to warm up and not all the time but a lot of times I’m having to clean it before I use it. But now that I got ring worm here out of habit I just clean everything before I use it and sometimes you don’t have paper, or y’all look like you just leave the rolls on top of the dispensers instead of refilling them and they tend to end up at other dispenser which sucks or I watch people grab them and take it with them to use it and you have to wait or walk to another one just to clean your machine.

This morning was a done for me though. I didn’t need to know what was going on but after that public performance in a hallway next to the treadmills speaking loud enough for me to hear you kicking that guy out for apparently no reason didn’t even let him finish his set it seemed like it was done on purpose and y’all laughed about it after he left like it was funny. It wasn’t. Y’all need people who have experience to have one on one conversation with respect. That guy was there before, always quiet never bothered anyone. Y’all have your reasons whatever it’s how it was handled. That kid needs to go or you’re going to lose more customers than just me. Ya I’m going to another planet fitness. The company isn’t bad it’s the people who represent it that makes it suck. By the way, I’m not giving my name cause I don’t want to get kicked out either for complaining. It’s bad when you have people like me who worry about getting kicked out for voicing an opinion.
I really hope he complains to corporate that definitely was uncalled for. Might do it myself.

I enjoy working out at Planet Fitness in Phenix City, Alabama for a variety of reasons. First of all, the staff at this location is very professional and friendly which makes the workouts go very smoothly. Also, the variety of exercise machines at this facility is a definite plus for a total body workout. And lastly, the location on the main thoroughfare is great because it's very convenient. I love planet fitness the Phenix city location is where I signed up and I love it there but I gave only four out of five stars because the other planet fitness gyms I have been to (in auburn and Columbus) have better machines IN MY OPINION, this is only an opinion but even still four stars is good because they are all great gyms and for the price you really can’t beat all the benefits they offer.

Things i like: Location, staff, cleanliness/housekeeping, plenty of machines/equipment, dumbbells, aquamassage beds, can go to any location and bring a guest with the black card, and price for what you get. I don't use the showers or tanning, but they always appear clean as well. I've been to numerous locations and have not had a bad experience. They have energy drinks and protein shakes to purchase on site for decent prices.

Gym is clean but staff need to be trained better. A man followed me around the gym for 40 minutes. I reported this to three separate employees and they all told me that the gym doesn’t have cameras so there was not proof. I had male who witnessed it say something… still nothing. I left and cancelled my membership. Would find a better gym with staff who takes safety seriously.

Had a membership for about a year here and I love it! There was one manager for awhile that was pretty rude(and loud) to his employees, but it appears he's gone now and it looks like the super nice assistant is in charge now, which is awesome because she's super positive and really makes everyone feel welcome😊..cass or cassie? Love her! She's great with the employees and customers... she greets you every time AND tells you goodbye! 😊 this planet fitness really is a judgement free zone.

Staff is great, friendly and work really hard. But the tanning booths have been closed for weeks due the to bulbs being burnt out. Bulbs are avaialable but Staff has to wait for maintenance to show up and replace them. Idiot rule. If a tanning solarium did this they would be out of business. So much for my yearly maintenance fees I pay. I really don't think the District Manager or Reginal Manager cares about the Phenix City PF. As I have been to the other 2 PF's in Columbus and they don't have the problem with Maintenance showing up fixing equipment and replacing bulbs.

It would be a great place if the customer service was up to par. There is one gentleman and one girl that works at night that is friendly the rest are too busy on their phones or missing to help you. Then to tan is too much to ask because when they are open on Monday you can't at 6:15 even if it's booth. Then you get told to go to a bed that the door is shut so you have to go back then they say no ones in they I opened it so you go to the open door get ready and the bed never comes on , call up to the front and they say your in the wrong room and that bed can't be turned on because that would inconvenience them. So if your just looking for a workout and you don't need extra services you might like it but ask the extras would be nice but can't be used properly.

Off the bat, Rashawn needs a promotion and a raise. He has saved my view of the brand of PF. This location can get busy during the week, but it is what it is. They do maintenance their equipment. Great beginner gym, especially if cardio is your goal. You’ll outgrow it if you’re into body building.

It is not too busy early morning so you can get on equipment without waiting. The atmosphere is positive and clean. I love the stairmaster, and they have many to choose from. The tanning beds are well kept and have strong bulbs. I have never had a bad experience. The planet fitness is helping me reach my physical goals:)

This is my favorite gym i go here all the time. However summer time is not it. I love that the kids have a place that they come to but i just feel maybe there should be a time when they can come.
