Don’t let intimidation from the machines and weights hold you back! Even as someone who has been active my whole life, I initially felt a bit nervous—mainly out of fear of injuring myself. Ironically, the one major past injury I did have actually improved as my other muscles grew stronger. Reform does an amazing job of addressing your individual needs and ensuring you feel supported every step of the way. Plus, it’s genuinely fun—I always find myself wishing the workout lasted longer!

I've been working out at Reform for about 8 months and love the coaching, supportive environment, flexibility, and training. I feel much stronger physically and mentally and look forward to every workout (seriously!)

I am in my 30s and have been dealing with lower back pain for a long time. I have not been able to consistently workout without irritating it for years now. I sat down with Michael earlier this year and he knew exactly what I had been going through. I signed up on the spot and have been consistently training 3 times per week with no pain, all while making tons of progress. On top of that, the facilities, equipment and people in this gym are excellent!

I am recovering from a back injury coming from CrossFit where I worked out 5-6 days a week. Michael has been great in guiding me through various movements and stretches and feel more energized than I did working out only 3 to 2 days a week. I would recommend Michaels program to anyone looking to improve their fitness and overall health.

Michael and Tori are fantastic! I have dealt with a stubborn nerve injury in both elbows for 4+ years. This injury started from weightlifting, and I was unable to lift normal everyday things for a couple years, then very light weight for the last couple years. I went to see Michael and Tori when resting was no longer healing the injury. Occupational therapists and doctors had done all that they could (beside surgery, which I was reluctant to get), but Michael got me back into shape. He's very knowledgeable in manual therapy and fitness training. I was skeptical that I would get back to weightlifting as quick as Michael predicted, and it was actually quicker than he estimated. Side note, I'm no longer living in the area, so I'm not a client anymore.
Regarding training, Michael is very knowledgeable and experienced, and he was wise about when to push me and when not to push me (considering the injury). I also really like his style of conditioning, even though it's tough. Michael always knew what weights I should try, what variation of each workout to start with, and what "homework" I should do at home. There was never any time wasted, and he always explained the rationale behind different workouts, form, etc.
I didn't work too closely with Tori, but I believe she's a great trainer, too, and I encourage anyone reading this to at least consult with them if you want to become more fit or work through an injury in an effective, methodical way.

Reform has genuinely been life-altering. I’ve gone from someone who was mostly sedentary, to being in the best shape of my life! More importantly, I’ve had two non-workout related injuries over the past 12 months (sprained ankle, torn MCL). Both times, Michael and Tori have catered the sessions to my needs, be it a session that was mostly physical therapy and stretching, or custom low-weight exercises that have helped with recovery. Neither injury has required any outside therapy, and I feel very confident that would not have been the case 12 months ago.
There are a lot of places around town that make you stronger. There are far fewer that make you HEALTHIER. Thankfully, Reform does both, and does it well!

If you don’t have a flexible schedule with lots of time, this is not a place for you. First off, I’m still struggling from knee pain that I got from here. Second, they really need to improve treating their group session clients better. It’s not an affordable place to get training even at the group rate, but as soon as you transition from one-on-one to group sessions, the attitude got drastically changed. What’s worse is that you can’t reschedule if you have to miss a session. They are like it’s all in the contract but I didn’t have a copy of it because it wasn’t downloadable, and shouldn’t the trainers mention such important notes when signing the contract? If you miss a session, you can go to a weekend free class for everyone, but it really didn’t make sense because it’s not specifically for those who missed sessions, but opened to everyone. And if you’re not available on the weekends, you’re just wasting your money without being able to take sessions that you already paid for. Free cancellation policy is there, but what’s the point if you can’t reschedule any of your missing sessions?

I've been going to this gym for a couple months now and I have to say, it's been an amazing experience. Micheal and Tori are very knowledgeable and enthusiastic. The equipment is top-notch and there's always plenty of space to work out. I've noticed a significant improvement in my fitness levels since starting here and I look forward to continuing my journey with this fantastic gym. Highly recommend checking it out!

I've practiced yoga with Tori for over 5 years. I'm a 42yr old husband, very busy father of (3) small kids and an engineer. Yet, with a lot of help from Tori, I've never been in better overall shape. I regularly run, cycle and practice vinyasa yoga.
It's Tori's coaching that has enabled me to healthfully continue (and improve!) my journey of endurance sports long after my body as left it's 'invincible and reckless young man' season of life.
I can't speak well enough of this Tori; she's the real deal. She's has the knowledge, insight and expertise you're not going to get from your own internet research. She's a true health coach - and just generally a fantastic person to be around! If you're serious about taking care of yourself, wherever your at on your health journey, you've found your 'secret weapon' right here with Tori.

I can’t say enough positive things about Tori! My experience with her has been yoga instructor/life coach. I have always wanted to take yoga classes but never made the space for myself until last year when a friend told me about Tori. She is very knowledgeable in her practice! Throughout our weekly one on one yoga classes she became more than a yoga instructor for me. She became sort of a life coach to me. I would highly recommend anyone looking for a yoga instructor, life coach, or personal trainer to contact Tori!

I’ve been going to Tori’s classes for about a year now and I only have positive things to say. She is both challenging and engaging while maintaining a positive mindset and helping keep everyone motivated. She definitely pushes your limit, but the rewards are great both mentally and physically if you stick with it!

I am 70 years old have been working with Michael for 1.5 years. He is without hesitation the best practitioner I have ever worked with.
Michael understands the human frame . The muscles, Tendons, bones and most of all the brain. Working with him has not only made me stronger but I am more agile.
Not many 70 year olds can dead lift 300lbs. I can!
If you want to be fit overall, accomplish your goals and stay safe this is where you should be.

Michael is by far the best professional in the field I have ever worked with. The deep tissue massage was a game changer in my workout routine, improving muscle recovery and boosting my performance. The joint therapy gave me a better body awareness on how to perform in order to prevent injuries, in addition to treating a left shoulder chronic pain.

I love working with Michael because he’s very knowledgeable and good with people. He has a keen eye for assessing needs without overwhelming you. I’ve slowly gotten back to training after being out for months and in just a few short weeks with Michael, I feel like I have all of my strength back. Michael really knows his stuff and how to implement it in every aspect. I highly recommend him for personal training and/or for programming through his app. He makes it easy and worthwhile.

If you want to move pain free, find a class, make an appointment. I have been suffering with mid back pain for years after an injury and thought I had tried everything except surgery. After attending classes and learning some movements to incorporate throughout my day, my back is in a much better place. This class finds areas to train that you never knew you could. If you move at all you will benefit from this. Knee problems, hip issues, shoulder pain, whatever you have… this helps and corrects. Michael has a great sense of humor and is great about teaching the what, why and how. Highly recommend!

I have been training one on one with Micheal for almost three months now and I am so happy I signed on for a year when I did! I have had eight major knee surgeries and have been with the same trainer for almost 12 years. After relocating to the area, finding a new trainer was a must, but finding someone to trust with all of my injuries wasn't the easiest until I met Michael. Needless to say, I made the right choice!

Michael's skill in manual therapy (massage) and FRC (Functional Range Conditioning) makes for an incredible combination that is sure to improve any individuals daily function and athletic competitiveness. I run collegiate track and have pursued various forms of injury prevention; however, the FRC techniques that Michael teaches are head and shoulders above other strategies that I have experienced. I would strongly recommend this to any high level athlete or individual interested in improving their functionality.

Michael is on another level. I've had shoulder impingement issues my whole life. I've been in and out of physical therapy and even had 3 shoulder surgeries. 3 weeks of training with Micheal has shown more range of motion results than I ever got from therapy. Infact, I'm certain that if I had worked with him when my issues first started in my 20s, I would have never needed surgery. If you have any mobility issues at all, go see him! Now! Before it's too late.

I went to Michael’s Range Train class at 24e a couple weeks ago and loved it. As a trainer, he walks us through how to move through each deep stretch.
He is also a massage therapist and works one-on-one with clients. As a therapist, he finds my “sticky” spots and works those muscles so I feel refreshed after a session!

I’m 72 years old and have been practicing JiuJitsu for three years. Michael was recommended to me by my granddaughter, McKenzie, who is a distance runner for Samford University. I’ve been having hip and back issues that have been steadily improving since I started working with Michael. I would highly recommend him to anyone interested in improving their overall joint health!!

I have been training with Michael through Range class at 24e for about 3 months now. I look forward to attending his class every week! I am middle-aged with several occupational and sports related injuries- this type of training has helped recover those injuries more than traditional physical therapy. I can tell a huge difference in my overall strength both outside of the gym and at the gym.

The value of this type of movement therapy is beyond words. I noticed a difference in my joints soon after my first session. Range Training has helped me incorporate better movement into my daily workouts. Michael is very good at explaining the movements and their benefits. He encourages you to push yourself to achieve your new limits but without pain, of course. 😁 I look forward to this class every week!

Michael brings to Birmingham a fresh perspective on human movement that will transform how you think about mobility and flexibility, and what it truly means to be a functional human. We all deal with aches, pains and injuries, and we're quick to chalk it up to bad genetics or aging, but the truth is we have the power to recapture lost range of motion and greatly reduce our rates of injury and the effects of aging, and Michael will show you how. He has a great understanding of the human body and an infectious enthusiasm that makes learning this stuff a blast. You owe it to yourself to check out Reform.

I have a lot of experience with muscle & joint therapy, and I’ve never experienced anything as effective as what Michael practices. I hate to describe him as a massage therapist because what he does is much different and much greater than what any other massage therapist practices (at least in Bham). I am a personal trainer, strength coach, powerlifter and bodybuilder, plus I struggle with Fibromyalgia and RA, so with the high level of strain and activity I put on my body, I have to take my recovery very seriously. After several months working with other massage therapists, chiropractors and even physical therapists on my hip and shoulder mobility issues, it only took one session with Michael to get me more mobile and pain free than I have been in many years. I can’t wait to see how much better I get after multiple regular sessions with him! I’m referring him to everyone I know!! He’s next level! Thanks Michael! :D

Absolutely love working with MIchael. His approach to joint mobility is like nothing I've ever experienced before. This is more than just a massage - this is an muscle/joint activation session where you are taught how to improve your own mobility. I"m looking forward to many more sessions with MIchael.

I'm so glad I met Michael at 24e. He was my trainer. I pretty much have constant neck/shoulder pain. Upper body work outs & an old injury increased the pain. So I finally made an appointment to see him. I'm not a fan of massages. I've not found them to be helpful, but this was different. He knew exactly what to do to relieve the pain & it was gone after a week. I'm still amazed & continue to feel better. I highly recommend him & have referred friends & family.
