Crooks..guy filed bankruptcy and bailed then deleted his Facebook page. Cancel your cards or file a dispute with your bank asap. I've had nothing but bad interactions with these guys for months now. From being charged through the covid pandemic down to multiple annual fees being charged on my card. Then I hear the owners running for mayor......good luck getting that vote.

Cables on weight machine have been broken for about 2 months. I have been told on 2 separate occasions, about a month apart, that the new cables are in and will be installed on Friday. Seems as if they're not going to be repaired. Secondly, the gym is an absolute wreck in the morning. I don't know why people can't put the equipment where it goes when they're finished with it!

Amazing atmosphere, friendly staff, great equipment, highly recommend this gym. There were a few billing issues due to the previous owner but the current management fixed the issue and reimbursed my money.

EDIT: Gerald finally responded. LOL. How can a new gym AND new gym owner somehow take ownership of OLD accounts of a old gym he had no possession of? In 2016, I had a membership/CONTRACT for ONLY six months with FIT24 (not Gymnify) and a year and a half year later, long after Gymnify took over, money was being taken out. NO cancellation form is required a year and half later when a contract ends WITH AN ENTIRELY NEW GYM. SO, how can GeralD pull money out of my account? Are you going to answer me now or just keep spouting on about how you’re going to sue me?
At first, Gerald was very understanding and nice about the fraudulent transactions being made (when he could blame his friend) until it was made known by his own employees that it was HE who was making such transactions. Will you explain any of that? Or just continue to lie and say any negative reviewer was not a member of your gym? Because technically, I was never a member of your gym and I’ve spoke with my bank and the police about said unauthorized transactions. Learn the law or give everyone their money back.

And to answer your question, owner of new gym that I have never been a member of, I’m your worst nightmare.

ORIGINAL POST: If you’re fine with a business stealing your hard earned money for however long as they please, regardless if your contract has ended a year and half prior, it’s an average gym with barbells and dumbbells. It would be smarter to hand over your debit card to the cashier at the liquor store next door than to waste your energy here.
This gym’s owner, Gerald, does a horrible job of communicating with people, can’t keep his stories straight, and most importantly can’t keep his greedy fingers out of people’s pockets. It would be smart to fill in all your new employees of a list of all you’ve told, who you’re ripping off, to change banks for the payments to discontinue BEFORE they call me about late fees that don’t exist AND THEN admit to me your business has been taking money out of my account for the last year.
Next time, thank the bus driver that Google forces me to give at least a star to leave this review.

I was a member for about a year and canceled my membership in June of this year. They continued to take payments out of my account until October. I called 3 different times and each time I was told “it isn’t us. We aren’t doing it...” but my bank statements say Gymnify? Hm.
I’m not the only one in my friend group this has happened to. I hope they rectify their billing system and start treating their members with the respect and honesty they deserve.
I wouldn’t recommend this gym to anybody unless you enjoy being stolen from.

Edited to add: Management has responded to this review saying I have never been a member. I was a member of them ALL back when they were Fit24 and we could visit any of the locations. I primarily went to the Pelham and Alabaster locations, but have been to them all. I spoke to Kim Mangina twice, and I didn’t get the name of the other person I spoke with. I was told to submit my bank statement as proof y’all were taking money out of my account... which I didn’t feel comfortable with for OBVIOUS reasons. Not a member? Okay. Whatever.

I've had so many billing issues with this gym in the past couple years and tried to cancel within the following 3 days with no success. It is legal in AL to cancel a contract within 3 days with no penalties. They refused to acknowledge this and continued to take out for the remainder of the contract. Then when it had ended the membership was auto-renewed without my knowledge. I do not recommend anyone debiting their account with them.

Very small gym. 10 people and it's packed. But can't really complain for the price. You could drive 30min and pay double if you want to fight the traffic. No complaints other than the size. It's 24 hours to.

I've been a member for almost two years. I fell in love with this gym. I came along way here, but today that changed. My husband and I were working out in the back by the punching bag when we noticed a small child (probably 4) running around the gym, pulling wieghts down, throwing exercise balls, climbing all over equipment, and running under barbells while people are trying to work out. It was a very dangerous situation. I didn't say anything because both parents were present and they were allowing this to take place. Next thing I see is the parents rolling around in the floor with the child in front of the free wieghts. They were tickling each other. They then got up, and both parents proceeded to run through the equipment, and chase each other around in full Sprint like it was a play ground. That's when I asked them to stop. The guy said, "You don't pay the bills around here." I said, "yes I do". He said "not like we do. I'm Austin's business partner." My husband said, "good for you but that doesn't give you the right to act like that in here." He said, "I tell you what, I will credit your account back for the month of June and cancel your membership."
I'm very shocked to say the least. I'm not sure why we got kicked out for speaking up. But this place has been going downhill since spring of this year. There ismaintenance fee that cost $25/member. I'm not sure what that is used for. I've complained several times about how the tanning bed has 13 bulbs blown/missing. It's filthy in there. The only place that gets cleaned on a daily basis is the bathrooms. I've not caused any problems while being a member. I tried to contact Austin to see if this could be resolved and he never responded back to any of my efforts in trying to speak with him. I deserve to be treated better, especially by a business owner. I will not be back.
