Wing Chun Boxing Academy is a wonderful place to learn. Sifu Dustin and Jackson Carrol are excellent. I called Sifu Carrol and explained that I was interested in becoming a student. He invited me to attend a class that day. Upon meeting Sifu Carrol and his son Jackson I told them that I had no previous martial arts experience. They assured me that was not going to be an issue. Sifu Carrol allowed me to participate in the class. I became a student that day. I have been attending class ever since. I’m very impressed with their knowledge, skills, teaching methods, and the time they spend with me to make sure I understand everything. Questions are encouraged. Answers are given and demonstrated. Huntsville Wing Chun Boxing Academy is well organized, begins on time and ends on time. Sifu instructs on time management without students looking at a clock. There isn't a shot clock on defending yourself or your family. Sifu builds on defense as last resort, constantly communicating, extinguish conflict and work on building strong character. Training is held in a family environment and everyone is treated that way. I have been learning under Dustin and Jackson Carrol for a little under a year now, and I can honestly say I couldn’t be happier with my experience, before I started martial arts and was reading up on it I read that having the right instructor in any martial art is the key to succeeding and it is more than apparent the amount of knowledge shared between them is extensive beyond belief and use the most practical methods and are willing to change their current methods if a better one is proven to them which is what every instructor should do and teaches a good life lesson as well. Also I do not feel as if they are withholding any information back from me which is one of the big things that scared me when looking for an instructor, but Mr. Dustin made it abundantly clear that if he withheld a single bit of information from me and I get into a life or death situation and don’t come out on top, that he would consider it his fault and also explained that if every instructor withholds a little bit of information, that eventually through generations an entire martial art can be watered down and this was all very great to hear and I fully believe it through their teachings. I would recommend anyone interested in learning martial arts to train there!

I was traveling from Ohio to New Orleans and happened to see that Sifu Carroll's school was opened and called to see if my friend and I could visit. We were welcomed with open arms and were made to feel very comfortable.
He allowed us to participate in his Wing Chün class...not just observe...which was very kind of him. We both learned a lot and thought he was very thorough in explanation of the techniques being taught and their possible applications. Bottom line, I was very impressed, as I have been involved in various martial arts over the past 30 years.

I've tried a few self defense and marshal arts disciplines and this one is hands down the best for no nonsense self preservation tactics. I am 46 years old and not interested in being able to run a five minute mile, bench press 300 lbs. or score points in a match and this class and these instructors are aware that not every human is an elite athlete and teach accordingly. The discipline itself is intense but the benefits are extremely rewarding. I look forward to every class!

Learn practical self defense in a no nonsense manner from an instructor who walks the walk not just talks the talk. No association fees to some unknown organization. Very friendly senior students who want to help you on a non threatening atmosphere and a practical martial art that can save your life. If this sounds appealing then I recommend SiFu Carroll. I have been in Wing Chun since 1978, have written for Wing Chun Illustrated, I have been a professional Muay Thai fighter in Thailand, have served in the US Army, been a law enforcement officer, etc. I can tell you that Sifu Carroll is truly a professional instructor of the highest caliber, deeply cares about teaching true self-defense and the wing chun system to those that truly want to learn. Many have passed through his doors. Only the dedicated stay and pay their dues through hard work and determination. It takes hard work to achieve true skill. Some leave when they find out that they can't learn self-defense in a day or two. It just does not work that way. Some leave after a few lessons to open their own schools and try to compete with him. I had walked away from wing chun many years ago. The teachers I had found seem to have gone away from the fighting side of the art. They all wanted to or Had to add other styles to make it effective. I just gave up....

Probably the best in the South and east coast, the west coast and north as well.
